Chapter 72: AZAZEL'S BREEZE

Satan, not wanting their missions be hindered,

Took off on his own to Azazel's nest,

He rung a bell three times,

And said in a cold voice, "I bring you a Quest,"

He felt cold wind, brush on his gray hair,

And in a matter of seconds, a feet dropped down bare,

Azazel, who looked as if he had just woken up,

Smiled michievously, "Yet my sleep wasn't enough,"

His black colored eyes scanned the place,

As an unspeakable joy was plastered in his face,

"You don't have Lucifer with you? How come?"

"He's not on the mood, but for me, he shouldn't have succumbed,

So I talk here with you with all seriousness,

Gather your men, to find the nest of angels,"

"But we are also not on our best condition,

I lost a lot of my legion, and it's hard to risk finding their location,

Can the other main demons fight with us as well?"

"But leaving our base will be risky as hell,"

"What am I supposed to do there, anyways?"

"Surely, with this months, you've been well-rested and okay,

All I want is that you trick the Chosen to side with us,

Not to kill the angels, not to go with all the fuss,"

"Are you serious? Not even the most clever plan could surpass their barriers,

Even if I have the brain, and a hundred thousand warriors,"

Satan sighed and shared his mind,

"Deception will do, just pretend to be kind,"

"That's a huge blow on my pride!"

"All it takes is courage, acting and dedication inside,"

"Satan, you are the master of manipulation,"

"But I've overused my excuses to the angels,

they're not as gullible as the earth's nations,"

Satan's red eyes glowed and Azazel was lost,

He felt brainwashed, then suddenly gone in his thoughts,

He agreed unconciously, and then dropped feeling dizzy,

Satan rejoiced, as he handed him an agreement for his sole purpose only.

Azazel, although sick of even seeing an angel from afar,

Now swallows all his hatred, as he flew and searched the earth,

Once an angel, he hated the fact that humans were made,

As God were fond of them, that he began to feel his worth degrade.

Always the humans, always the humans,

Always their needs, regardless of deeds,

Azazel thought it was so unfair,

When the angels were the ones who praise His name,

And yet the humans were loved more, and would be saved from despair,

So Azazel rebelled, and with Satan, spread pain.

Azazel smiles with such evil as he reminisce his fall,

Yet a part of him misses, being loved and adored by all,

His flawless white hair, once shiny and long,

Now turned black, and stinks of smoke,

As his skin once pinkish in color,

Turned too pale, and burns when rinsed by water.

He did not regret his decisions though,

Unlike other fallen, he was confident of his choice,

He loved being free, to not sing and love all times,

He loved being him, someone who boldly admits his crimes.

And yet...now he would pretend to be the opposite,

He needs to side with such angels, for heaven's defeat,

Love is a powerful weapon, and a powerful weakness,

With such, Azazel would surely, succeed with his quest.

...

The thunder was pouring, and the wind was howling,

Uriel sighed, as he calmed the people crying,

"This is just rain, and no evil will arrive,

Just go back to sleep, and all close their eyes,"

Yet the thunder became louder and louder,

Like gunfires, becoming nearer and nearer,

And soon enough, even Uriel was disturbed,

He took a look, although his blue hair was soaked,

Just to know, what caused the noises seemingly close.

And he swore he saw someone pass by him,

But he can't make it out, as the darkness dims,

And as he was about to investigate, screams were heard inside,

So he quickly returned, and when he did, his eyes bulged wide.

Ken was screaming in pain,

As the others wondered if he gone insane,

Gabriel, angel of diligence, explained that Ken awoke the third level of Seers,

In which he can see possible futures, that may happen near.

But the possibilities were too overbearing for Ken,

That he screamed in pain, wanting to claw his eyes while he can,

He was restrained, as Raphael contemplates on what to do,

"He's pained in this state, and it was said that the former seers died because of this,

I pray he survives like the few,"

The angel beside him, only stood still,

"He can handle it, if he has strong will,"

"But he's suffering, can't we limit the things he's see?"

"That's dangerous, his abilities could prove useful for you and me,"

Gabriel turned around, only to see Uriel,

"He's awaken it," "I could tell,"

Uriel felt pity, as Michael quickly apologized,

"I'm sorry Gabriel, but his survival, I cannot compromise,"

Other angels stood up to protest,

But after seeing Ken cry up, the decision to Michael they left,

They let him come forward as he pray as first,

Hoping that what he's about to do, won't turn out worse.

The chief archangel quickly placed his hand on Ken's head,

As Ken screamed louder, hands tightly crumpling his bed,

Stacy cried as Robert comforted his sister,

While Jacob felt fearful, now realizing that the duty Ken has was bitter.

For a while Ken struggled, while Michael kept praying,

As the windows slammed, and the wild wind kept howling,

Ken soon stopped, and almost fainted in exhaustion,

As he swore he saw, someone near would cause them destruction.

Still in shock, and tired from all the things he saw,

The angels let him sleep, as they watch the humans so,

Barachiel, the angel of patience, walked up towards Michael,

"I am happy he's not in pain, but doing that won't always be well,"

"And what choice do I have?

He was suffering, and I did it out of love,"

"What if he awoken it, for a purpose much bigger?"

"God is on our side, He won't let those who trust Him simply suffer,"

...

Azazel overheard the angels, and saw the sight in disguise of the wind,

But having felt that the disguise he can no longer keep,

He left temporarily, to prepare his mission to decieve.

He flew to Samael, the angel-devil associated with fire,

He was still loyal to God, although he was tasked to see whom among humans have sinful desires,

Azazel tried to convince him, to make sure the Chosen one was true,

At first Samael was hesitant, but after a while he agreed too.

Mahazael, the devil associated with earth was next,

He was always busy and rarely leaves his nest,

But after Azazel promised, that he'd bring humans to feed him and his hungry pets,

He agreed, and joined him on his quest.

Azael, the sleeping devil of water,

Was disturbed from his slumber,

His bluish skin was so well-mixed with the water,

That Azazel almost jumped when he saw him rise from under.

Azael seems not to care whether it would benefit him or not,

So long as he would be seen as helpful enough,

He turned his tail into legs, and joined the four,

As Azazel lead them, toward's the angels' door.

Ken felt something was wrong,

And quickly awoke not so long,

He felt bothered, as if something was to strike,

But he couldn't quite figure it out,

As his vision was still blurred by the night.

He rubbed his sleepy eyes,

As he felt the cold wind bite,

He quickly put the blanket on,

But the freezing temperature won't leave him alone.

Despite the darkness, he could swear he saw shifting in the darkness,

He wondered if it was real, or sleep deprivation causing him madness,

He left his bed hesitantly, and was about to pray,

Until he heard clear footsteps, coming his way.

He quickly opened his eyes,

But nothing caught him by surprise,

He felt confused, and began to think if he was just being paranoid,

But more so, he was quite annoyed.

He went back to bed and tried to sleep,

As the bothersome noises, began to creep,

Even the others sharing a room with him began to wonder,

Just who cause the noises, and the sounds becoming louder?

The angels, guarding the outside of their room quickly hurried,

But they saw nothing of unusual and horrid,

Confused, yet serious, they did not left their eyes on them,

Guarding the humans, as if they're precious gems.

But the wind brought an unexplainable chill,

Whom all that's in the room began to feel,

And as soon as it caught everyone's attention,

Azazel appeared before them,

Asking the angels a special question.

"Would you dare let me join you?"

He asked out of the blue,

And all were but at awe,

"I swear this time, I won't break the law,"

While they were confused of what to feel,

They were happy, Azazel returned,

But knowing that he's still a devil,

They put him on a challenge, to cut his horns.
