Chapter 90: DON'T TRY ME

Everyone froze when they saw Belphegor,

Furious, satanic, and a face red in color.

He quickly grabbed Jacob and pinned him on the floor,

As he extracted his nightmares, to kill him with and tore.

But rather than monsters that haunts the skin,

He saw two person, slowly released.

One was a bloodied little boy,

Holding a soft and dirtied toy.

Another was a deformed and zombified face,

It was Jacob's thoughts, of his sister who's away.

Half of him lost hope that she was ever alive,

So most of the times, in his nightmares, she died.

Sometimes, she would even run and chase after him,

As he gives up, just to hug her once again.

Stacy was mesmerized, at the demon's power revealed,

But pitied that Jacob's nightmare, was too frightening than it seems.

It was a different kind of nightmare, a different kind of pain,

Even Belphegor saw, how much that made Jacob wail.

Jacob tries to reach the two people,

As his tears flowed his cheeks, why still being hopeful.

He didn't resist Belphegors grip,

All he wanted, was the two replicas to keep.

Though he knew they would follow Belphegor's command,

And might potentially kill him the moment he wants,

Jacob was just happy that they're finally real,

Not merely dreams, that could simply disappear.

Belphegor quickly felt a wave of symphaty he rarely shows,

As he knew, how missing someone blows.

It's the same reason he can't extract his own nightmares,

For seeing another Luna felt too much to bare.

He felt his own eye release a single tear,

As he realized, what was Jacob's worst fear.

The demon quickly wiped the tear of his face,

As he pretend to show ruthlessness, that he forced to wake.

He picked a large looking shard of glass,

As he went to the two replicas, and killed them with a thrust.

Jacob even clung to Belphegor's foot,

While Belphegor kept stabbing them,

As what was should.

Beelzebub quickly lost his appetite,

Seeing Belphegor splatter his sight.

Even though they're replicas, they bleed,

Now even Stacy, don't know how to feel.

She wanted to help Jacob, but her mouth won't speak,

Despite her being the one to drag them unto this fate,

She was all but too weak.

Belphegor then stopped, as Jacob cried in front of the demon,

"I'll do anything, just let me see them once more in person!"

Belphegor heard him, but went to Beelzebub first,

Helping him stand up, as he expected the worse.

Beelzebub was wounded, and even Belphegor couldn't believe it,

"What guts do you have, young man?

Why did you attack a Prince of hell,

Than run while you can?"

"I'm going to die either way, right?

So what's wrong from standing up to fight?"

"What's wrong is that you don't know who you're messing with,

He is the Seven's most precious keep.

Hurt him, and you'll mess with the six of us,

As punishment, I will surely make sure you won't last..."

Jacob quickly shivered hearing him say such,

As the other children simply watched.

Stacy intervened and quickly stood between them,

"If you're going to punish him, then take me too! I'm his friend!"

Belphegor laughed at what he thinks was stupidity,

"You may look brave, but darling don't try me,"

Stacy quickly took his voice seriously,

But didn't leave Jacob's side, and let it be.

"I've fought even angels, witches, and other demons in existence,

A little girl like you, won't inflict fear in me,

with your very essence.

Sure, you might piss me off, but you won't hurt me a bit,

But since I feel generous, I'd take you to Azazel for a little treat,"

"Azazel...the one who took Ken?"

Stacy's voice shook, "He was our dear friend,"

"Ah, he's probably enjoying his new life with a witch,

With one of his eye extracted, in a jar Azazel keep,"

"What??! What did you do to him, you filthy demon!"

"Sassy, eh? At least we have something in common,

Well...why don't you both find out together?

As I take you to his lab, when all of this is over?"

Belphegor extracted the nearest child's nightmares,

Which showed a big winged creature shrieking in hunger.

"Ah, this beast reminded me of Elenchos when he first had his tantrums,

Very creative mind of yours, now let's put this to use,"

The creature raced after each kid one by one,

Tearing of their limbs, preventing them to run.

The room was then filled by horrifying screams,

As the black colored beast, made sure none are missed.

Belphegor looked at the two remaining,

"This is my ability, not worth disrespecting,

I may be lazy, but I do my job efficiently,

I cause fear, so again, little girl, don't try me,"

Stacy quickly fell to the floor,

Crying and begging for no more.

Jacob quickly tried to calm her down,

As Belphegor only walked the room around.

He summoned Habarym to burn the bodies,

And take Beelzebub to a medical facility.

The loyal assistant quickly followed,

As Beelzebub was still in deep awe.

It was rare seeing Belphegor take such bloody actions,

As he was usually calm, with most of the given situations.

He felt his fear of him coming back,

As his hunger was pushed back.

This reminded him how strong the sleeping demon was,

And why, he was to be taken seriously,

Rather than last.

...

Asmodeus heard a trumpet sound,

Signalling that a demon Prince was now down,

He quickly left the room, without bidding Sellena goodbye,

Worrying the woman, of what had arrived.

He saw a wounded Beelzebub and quickly demanded to know who did it,

As Belphegor calmly replied, "Killing him won't be worth it,

Besides, I bet he's going to suffer more with Azazel,

That mad demon had a lot of plans, I could tell,"

"Let me at least sever his hands so he remember me,

I'm very much upset, do you fail to see?"

Asmodeus said in a deep and serious voice,

"Beel would be happy, but that's not the right choice.

I still want to ask questions when Beelzebub wakes up,

Why he didn't move, or simply fought back,"

"I don't care what his reason is, I just want to kill whoever did this,"

"Asmodeus, you're just full of wrath without thinking, you can't do everything you please,

Be more like Satan, wrath, power and wit in one,

After all, you're basically his son,"

"I don't care if I'm all wrath or whatever,

I'm gonna kill that bastard when I see him sooner,"

"Calm your temper, and just simply let Azazel do the dirty work for us,

Just focus on youself, as what is must,"

"Still, the only month Beel is ever happy was July,"

"Of course, that's his most powerful month, Asmodai,

Where the monsters in his back finally completed weaving his wings for him to fly,

The only time where he can be closer to the sky.

That is the only month he could move around like us,

Although those wings, don't last that much,"

"Come to think of it, it might be pretty lonely just eating your life away,

I bet it's tiring to kill your own prey,"

"Well, we tried everything to lift his curse,

But each time we try, it only gets worse.

We should just be supportive of him and give him as much comfort as he needs,

Before his hunger completely takes over,

And Lucifer does the rightful deed,"

"I don't want to see him suffer that much, Belphegor,

I'd even surrender him to the angels just for the curse to wore,"

"Lucifer's pride won't let that happen, Asmodeus,

You know how he would end up, it's clearly quite obvious,

I just...want him to feel happy and contented,

Always getting the attention, or what he would have wanted.

I lost Luna, and though you and Beel are idiots, I wouldn't trade you for the world,"

"Wow, are you drunk? You usually are cold,"

"I really hate you ruining the mood,"

"Ah, you're still you, that's good,"

"By the way...have Sellena told you about her past?"

"Not much, why did you asked?"

"Jacob...well, I thought he had a sister that looked like her,

When I extracted his nightmare from before,"

"No way, Sellena didn't seem to have anyone,

She would have talked about it,

And grieve when I'm gone,

But whenever I come back, her cheeks are dry,

Her eyes are as calm, relaxed and fine,"

"That's what you need to know, Asmodeus,

We can use Jacob as a bait, for your own purpose,"

"But I don't want to use her, not anymore,

I want her to be my Queen, as we one day, rule the world,

I want her to love me, not because she's told,

I want us to have a family, as the world turn old,"

"You're like a lovesick puppy and I am not impressed,

She might use you, loving her that way isn't best,

Her eyes don't yell fear, nor deep respect,

She's a woman of God, she'd leave you one day,

Don't you suspect?"

"Don't you think I can be loved, Belphegor?"

Asmodeus asked seriously, as his goofiness wore.

Belphegor felt still, as he knew the harsh realities,

That demons like them, would never be loved as true as they please.

He've told Asmodeus time and time again,

Demons are not meant to love, they are only welcomed by pain,

But not once did Asmodeus took his advise,

As loving too much, was Asmo's worst vice.
