Chapter 99: A PITIFUL MISTAKE

(Ken's POV)

I felt it again, floating in air,

My hands lifting, and so as my hair.

The light feeling, the lost of smell,

The scene that took place,

The sound of bells.

I then was dropped to my feet,

At a place, where I saw a few fallen teeth,

Blood sprawled on the floor,

As I walked forward, toward a door.

I opened it, and saw what could only be described as chaos,

Entities fighting, as I grew even more nervous,

I then saw an orb, bright and yellow,

It spoke to me, commanded me to follow.

And so I did, but sometimes I'd look around here and there,

As I hear the entities fight, while the shadowy ones swear.

I felt chills crawl up upon my spine,

This vision seemed more real, and more defined.

I can hear each step I take,

And it felt more real, when my sense of smell awake,

I could smell the place, it smelled like a cave,

As I walked to a tight entrance, it felt hard to be brave.

The wind hushed loudly, as I saw a dozen pair of eyes,

When the orb glowed, I realized they belong to dragon like creatures, all tucked inside.

It did not bother them, and the orb led me deeper,

But the place worsened in smell, and I felt myself getting sicker.

"Gah!" I unfortunately tripped,

And it took me two minutes to again get back on my feet,

The orb waited for me, then moved when I was able to stand,

I then saw an exit, in a relatively close distance.

I felt excited, hoping this would all be over,

As I could feel my feet, already tired and sore,

I ran towards it, and was excited to meet the light,

Only to be greeted by two entrance after I take it,

Should I take the left? or the right?

I waited for the orb to take the lead again,

It then hovered pass by me, as it split to two after it bend,

One took the left, one took the right,

I was covered in darkness, once it was out of my sight.

It felt chilly, scary, without any companion,

I could hear a thousand voices, and the clear rumbling of destruction,

The cave echoes each scene, and I could only imagine,

When suddenly, I felt something drop in my skin.

Luckily, after touching my arm, I was able to verify that it was just water,

Although in time after many followed, I could feel myself feeling stickier,

I sighed and moved my arms so not to get bored,

Until I saw a blight entrancing glow, that could only belong to the orb's.

I could feel myself celebrating,

After being left, with absolutely nothing,

The orb on the right disappeared,

As the one on the left, then continued to lead.

It was yet again a long trip,

Then I realized, the road was becoming more steep,

I'd fall on a burning pool of fire if I didn't take the right step,

Although it was a dream, or a vision, I was too scared I'd face Death.

I felt my bare feet feel the warmth,

As I bit my tongue, so to not drown in the harm,

It was hard to see clearly, as my eye had blurred,

So I took slower steps, as what a sane person would.

I then reached an open door,

That quickly closed, as some of my shirt was tored,

I wondered if I wake up, it'd be the same,

But that's not the problem now, at least I wasn't touched by flames.

I then heard two voice yelling at each other,

As the orb disappeared, and I hear them both argue louder.

Two men were in front of me,

But they seem not to be aware of my presence,

As their voice abruptly changed,

Both their shoulders tensed.

They kept arguing, as I watch there, quite amazed,

Although they look quite tired, and were seemingly stuck in a maze.

I looked around, it was a dark place,

Huge walls, tight and minimal space,

The two kept reasoning each other,

As I then realized further, they were brothers.

I watched eagerly, not moving my eyes out of them anymore,

As they voice out their sides, telling the other how they suffered.

The red haired man, with wings as dark as black,

Told the one with black hair, that all his reasons were nothing but crap.

He was the one who suffered the most, he said,

As he was given up by their own mother, just so their father won't end up dead.

I felt myself shiver, as the one who claimed older began to narrate,

Tears streaming on his green eyes, as from hearing it, I could barely wait.

"I wasn't even given a body of my own!

As I was taken shortly, by my mother, of same flesh and bone!

I never had the chance, to be loved unconditionally,

Since all of such love, you had taken away from me!

She should have never made the deal with the Devil,

How could someone given with gifts to save our world, be that selfish and evil!

How could she do this? How could she let me be this?

To be used, to feel set aside, to be thrown in the abyss!"

The other had clear symphathy in his eyes,

But knew that such words weren't right,

"She didn't know you were the price,

She was willing to give anything, just so father won't die,"

"Humans...humans are selfish!

She should have known all the possible outcomes!

And she had the audacity to ask why I'm like this!

She's the reason of the monster I've become!"

"Your anger is understandable, but please, be a little reasonable,"

"Reasonable? Reasonable? Can you hear yourself, young brother?

What if you're in my place, raised by those monsters,

Can you still keep yourself up together?"

"I...please, I knew you still have goodness in your heart,"

"Forgiving those you trained years to kill, is not very smart,"

"Kill me? Kill us? Then what makes you any different from what you claim to be evil?"

"Nothing, hahah! I just wanted to kill you all for real,"

"You're insane! You have no idea how mother missed you!

How sad she was whenever she remembers you!

You are loved, though you were gone,

Even father shed tears, after all, you were also their son,"

"You still have no idea what I saw here in hell,

How I was mentally tortured, every single day,

Her poor decisions, made me, gave me identity,

Until I had built my own, to avenge what you claim as my family.

Grow up, Nishan, this isn't like the other shows you've seen,

Where you can easily twist my mind, and with the power of love then win,

Your mere voice won't change my decisions,

I am now the son of Lucifer, Lord of Destruction.

I now serve him, and I give him my life,

As he had pulled me off the lower parts of hell,

And taught me that the world isn't black and white.

We're all villains, Nishan, we all are,

So don't act like a Saint, and just accept this war.

Those creatures from heaven, where were they when father was to die?

Why did mom have to call a devil? Why did she have to lie?

That a sickness killed me, that it was all an accident,

When to a bright happy future, my soul was meant?"

"Please, Dariel, without dad alive you wouldn't have been born!"

"I'd rather not! Than have my head grow horns!

You do not understand me because you have all the support you have!"

"Mom was so nervous when she got me, I developed a lot of sickness, as she was stressed and mad,

Mad that she even made that decision, that she didn't gave herself,

She loved you...how many times to I have to tell?"

The red haired man had an expressionless face,

As he formed a black spear, and threw it away,

Nishan dodged but the spears kept coming,

As the vision blurred, and I woke up, it's now morning.

I touched my face, and it was cold as ice,

As my feet felt numb, while the curtains rise,

Nemue looked at me, and saw how pale I looked,

"You look like you had a nightmare, or is it a vision I supposed?

Weird, I put magic to prevent you from doing that,

Your abilities might have really improved a lot.

But still, that's no match for my abilities!

You can't escape me, no matter what!

Reminds me, today I'm going to feed my wonderful pets!

And you're going to help me, so quickly leave your bed!"

I felt a bit scared, as those pets weren't really pets,

But zombies, that could only growl for flesh,

I readied my nose, and my eye for what I am about to see,

My first monsters, and my very first enemies.

"Remember not to stare, or even look at any demon we might encounter,

Unless you want your inners gone, the moment they feel hunger.

Stay close to me, so you won't feel endangered,

If they can get you, they will, as many demons here are much stronger,"

The witch reminded me as I kept on nodding,

Although I felt myself, walking on a field with bombs that'd soon be exploding.
