Chapter 104: TEARS OF AN ANGEL

The demon could barely forget Asmo's reaction,

The painted pity, tender and soft, expression,

Just what was it? That he looked so pained,

Could it be? That he still love those angels? That threw him away?

He laughed, why was he worried all of a sudden?

He was planning for his fall to happen,

For so long, Leviathan was a member always almost forgotten,

With Asmodeus out of the picture, Satan and Lucifer gradually fighting,

He may be able to rule once the main branch kill each other,

What a way...to gain all influence and power.

He doesn't understand much at all too,

Satan should look for apprentices that are smart and tough,

And yet why would he pick a liking on that little child,

He brought crying, as he even fed him inside?

He remembered how jealous he was as Satan gave him a room much bigger than his,

And promised him legions, a thousand bigger than his,

Despite his loyalty, his efforts were thrown aside,

Leviathan threw the red emblem that used to be the symbol of their pack.

Callista quickly felt panic as Leviathan broke down,

Laughing while kneeling on the ground.

He looks at her, and told her coldly, "Should I kill her?"

"Who, my dear? Could you make things clearer?

"That Sellena Asmodeus seemed to like the most,

If I did, he may cause rebellion, he'd be dethroned easily, who knows,"

"But if he knows you killed her, the others may dethrone you themselves my dear,"

"Ah kill her myself? Ah, no. I won't do that of course,

I was thinking...maybe you should kill her instead,

You'd do that for me, won't you? I'm sure you could pretend?"

"But they'd kill me!"

"But they know you're precious to me,

If they hurt you, then I have a reason to be angry,

I know Satan, he'd rather keep peace between us,

But I'm not sorry.

They asked for me to turn against them,

So here I am, ready to get my hands stained.

Surely, you won't disappoint me, right sweetie?

Kill her any way you like, poison, or stabbed repeatedly."

Callista's amber eyes lost its shine,

As she thinks of taking someone's precious life,

Leviathan saw the fear in her eyes,

But understood how much of a burden she might have carried deep inside.

Pitying her, he agreed to give her some time,

Although her refusal, did manage to blow his pride,

He left for some time being, to get a peace of mind,

As Callista telephatically reported, to have an answer wise.

She called Uriel, who quickly told her to refuse,

But Callista cried, fearful she may get killed if to Levi she had no use.

Callista felt stuck, as she doesn't want to die and kill,

So Uriel promised to pull of the spying mission, and told her for the meantime be still.

Uriel looked at the five archangels who've overheard their call,

"Uriel, you shouldn't have, or it would endanger us all,"

"Callista doesn't want to die, it's not right to force her into this mission,"

"She gave her consent, this is her obligation,"

"What do you want her to do then? Selaphiel?

Kill her? Don't you read the situation well?

She'd commit a sin if she kills that woman,

And if she don't, she'd be killed by Leviathan.

She's stuck, in a situation she is not comfortable,

She lost her dignity, chastity, she lost it all,

She managed to give us info, with her words she mapped the palace,

So I know at least the place, don't you think we should give her assistance?"

"And yet we still haven't rescued Michael,

His prison, his condition, we don't know well,"

"Raphael, maybe I understand now why demons see us as no different,

You're being heartless, if you think Callista's life should be thrown away,

Mission or not, I can't stand this,

She is crying, begging to be released.

She've done enough, she've told enough,

She should rest, her suffering must be stopped.

I also see why you fear not to help her,

So if you would agree, I'd like to go there without you guys,

If we're too many, they may notice us easily,

I need to save her, her mission is completed, finally,"

Barachiel quickly gave a gasp,

Knowing how dangerous the situation was,

He ought to speak his reasons but Uriel had enough,

"I promise to bring Michael too, and at least land some punches on that brat,"

Raphael grits his teeth, he can't let Uriel go alone,

"Uriel, I believe the threat is still unknown,

If we lose you, we'd lose a big chance of being successful,"

"Raphael have you forgotten? We have God, full of love and reason,

Michael, Callista, and all of those trapped inside,

They need us, and I need to give them their peace of mind,

Raphael...please just stay back and watch over the remaining race,

I promise to bring them safely, just kneel to God and pray,"

Jegudiel could only cry as he see Uriel walk towards the distance,

Selaphiel tried to remain cool, unaffected, stagnant,

But his true feelings showed when Uriel was nowhere to be seen,

His worries had by then..overtaken him.

The fog ate his figure, which made him invisible,

As the five remaining archangels hope for the best outcome possible,

Uriel traded his immortality to Death,

As she sadly looked at him, "You're playing a dangerous bet,"

"I've lost enough, and I'm taking it back,

Trying to be passive all the time, sure could suck,

I need to free those, who calls to be saved,

Even if I sacrifice, some part of myself,"

"I hope your success, Uriel,

You're a pure angel indeed, but please beware,

Those demons are the pests this world failed to kill,

If not careful, you could become their next meal,"

"I have asked the fairies and reapers to at least aid me,

The angels needs rest, and so I let them be,

Our numbers need to heal, and I'm lucky I have friends to help,

We will win, I knew it, so I have no reason to fret,"

"I do not doubt your will, and yet I've met those demons before,

From the many things I've seen, they're the worst that crawled the earth,

Lluming, he still kept things to himself, haven't he?

He came here too, sad, beat and angry.

If you ever meet him, please don't yet punish him and such,

Tight situations, could make anyone lose heart.

I believe that you see reason in everything, Uriel,

So save those who can be saved, I don't want them to be in hell.

I am tired of seeing old friends die in front of me,

I see every soul's demise, and it's making me crazy.

Help them, Uriel, please,

Hope your blessed soul, half of you survive at least,"

Uriel smiles, although he felt melancholy,

As to be honest, he was tired of fighting,

To stop it in a snap, if only.

Those deadly sins, if only they don't exist,

The world would have been paradise,

And living would be a breeze.

He flew to the reapers, with Humility talking to his army,

Uriel tapped his shoulder, "Rank 1, are they ready?"

Humility nodded, his eyes looked soulless,

Uriel knew he too, lost a lot, and he was heavily broken.

"Make sure this is worth it, Sir Uriel,

I've lost friends along the way,

You have a clear and vivid plan, right?

We need strategy, than simply a go signal to fight,"

"Yes. So don't worry much,

Although I can't promise that we'd get out of there without being scratched,

However, at least have some spirit in your eyes,

Since that era, you've lost the shimmer that once shone bright,"

"Who wouldn't? When my friends are now gone?

And the only reminder one of them exists is captured by that scum?

I have had enough of this senseless battle between good and evil,

I want to kill them all, with my own hands, till their blood be spilled,"

"Wrath is present in you, Humility,"

"I just lost a lot of my friends, recently,

If a reaper dies, they're wiped out of existence,

Do you know how empty our death feels?"

"I know, and I understand,

I am sorry, for my demands,

I promise you'd get your revenge,

And know I symphatize, with your deceased friends,"

Humility nodded as he blew the trumpet,

"We're about to fight! For the future and the present!

We need to show our best, we need to show them who we are!

We need to show those demons, that they've gone way too far.

We may be killed on our way,

But at least we helped shape the future's new days,

We need to look up, up on the bright side,

We need to help Uriel, so be ready to fight,"

The crowd cheered as they rose their fists,

Chanting the same words, on repeat,

They felt teary, as they do not know if they'd live or die,

But was half happy, knowing they've fully lived their lives.

"A long life without purpose is torture,

A short life with purpose is treasure.

I do not want you to die but if we will,

Know that we obeyed since our last breaths,

than succumb to evil,"

...

Satan watched over the balcony,

Until he felt something, which he seemed was oddly,

A feeling of danger, a feeling of worry,

He felt so confused, but he dismissed it coldly.

So far everything had been in their favor,

Perhaps it just him, not getting used to the lack of trouble,

He sighed, and retreated in the shadows,

Without knowing what plots below.
