Chapter 135: BURDENS AND DECISIONS

Michael sighed upon hearing Gabriel,

"They're not little kids, what else is there to tell?"

"Well, it all started when I saw them at the back,

It's like they offended each other, but I don't know why or what."

Michael gave another sigh as he comtemplates on what to do,

"God help us, I hope it's not true,

Having them feel this way, amidst the already roaring war,

If only I can turn it back, I want to know why."

Gabriel scratches the back of his head,

"If they really hate each other, then awful! Our unity's dead!"

"Hate each other? Oh, no, no, no!

I think there's something more to it, but I still don't know."

"Should I spy on them?"

"Spy on who? That'd be a big problem,

They're both archangels, strong cautious beings,

To know the truth, that's not how you should think."

"Then what do you suggest we do then?

I'm feeling worried, to see them ignore each other further I no longer can't,"

"We should talk to one of them,

Ask what happened," "And if they refused to spill, what then?"

Michael thought thorougly,

Until Mar barged in, with a face of worry,

"Callista! She's in great pain!"

The two immediately rushed to see here,

but was greeted by wails.

"Oh dear, what is happening to you?"

Gabriel asked in panic, unsure of what to do.

Callista held her belly, crying and begging for the pain to stop,

As Ken tries to fight the urge to scream,

As she was holding his hand tight.

Selaphiel watched from the distance,

He knew that only a demon could provide assistance,

"She might die if we do not provide proper procedures,

She's not in labor yet, but I sense danger in her future."

With that Selaphiel went on to grab his coat,

Aiming to leave the worried crowd, without further words,

Raphael couldn't believe it, and walked in front of the angel,

"Can you at least, your purpose tell?"

Selaphiel frowned and his eyes glew bright,

"She will die, if I don't venture this night,

We don't know anything, and we are at fault for her demise,

She is our sister, she had had enough pain, and I'd do anything to save her life."

"You're going to beg to Lucifer's knees?

Do you not understand? He's a heartless beast?"

"He was sane enough for Callista to talk to and insult,

I will try regardless, no matter the result.

Not only is Callista in peril, but her child as well,

That kid though had a demon for a father, doesn't deserve hell,

He deserves to live, like anyone else, don't you think?

I am not seeking for anyone's permission, she's on the edge, very weak."

Raphael looked at Michael, as if asking him to do something,

But as Michael steps forward, Selaphiel began to grin,

"You don't want her to die, right?

After all, she's been with you, for the longest time.

Please, don't let her suffer a punishment she did not deserve,

She sacrificed even her purity, for the better of the world.

You are here today, because of Uriel and her sacrifice,

I am sure you don't want her, harmed for you're kind."

Michael crumpled his fists, as he looked at him quite mad,

"I am not upset because of that fact!

I am upset because you're going to do what Uriel did!

Fight alone once more! Risk your own life for a deed!

I, cannot afford to lose another brother, I had enough!"

"Then, what to you suggest for her suffering to stop?"

Michael, fell into silence, as he walks towards his brother,

"You don't deserve to do this alone,"

Selaphiel smiles and pushes him slightly,

"Do you think I'd let myself die? And in the hands of that narcissistic enemy?

I will come back and will return immediately,

After all that child in her womb, is still a part of Leviathan's family."

Ken looks at the scene, as he worried about the future,

He looks at Selaphiel, but his eyes didn't show him any wonders.

Perhaps the heaven forbids to make him see the result yet,

He feels a bit of worried, and was enveloped by sadness.

Mar noticed this, and feels hopeless,

It must mean, that Selaphiel's outcome, cannot be guessed,

It worried her as well, as Ken wasn't so confident,

The seer touches his remaining eye, praying that Selaphiel's decision would save their friend.

Mar walks beside Ken, who was still quiet,

As Callista was still, trembling and shaken.

The archangels tried their best, to ease her growing pain,

As Selaphiel ventured, though unsure if he'd return again.

"I'm sorry sir Michael! I'm sorry very much!"

"You don't have to apologize, with your help we learned a lot,

My only mistake, is letting you go like that,

I know it's wrong, I really shouldn't have.

Seeing you like this, breaks my heart to shreds,

If anything bad happens, I won't forgive myself."

Ken couldn't watch the scene no more,

So he left the room to find a bit of hope,

He passes by his people, cuddled with each other,

Trying to beat, the night's painful cold.

He saw a child, crying and complaining,

His blanket though covering him, was said to be too thin.

He felt his heart melt, and went back to his bed,

Snatching his own blanket, and gave it to the child who quickly thanked him.

Mar smiles but did not say anything,

Ken wasn't the same who always thinks of only saving his skin,

His 5 survival tips, and the theory of survival,

Doesn't apply as much, when you're presented with morals.

Saving someone, is not a dumb move,

We are humans, we look out for each other as should,

Love your people, as much as you love yourself,

This is what makes him happy, it's all he got left.

The child sleeps comfortably, as they share the little space they have,

As the other people, chat with each other, while others pray for peace to arrive.

Ken looks around, a lot of voices and a lot of stories,

He crumpled his fists, it's what he should save from those ruthless enemies.

Perhaps, he isn't really strong,

But...he just simply had no choice,

He prays with them, that the Lord have mercy,

As he also prayed, for the change of hearts within the enemies.

Suddenly, his hand glowed in a white bright color,

Making the people change their former focus,

They gaze at him, wondering what it means,

As Joseph, one of the lower angels, drop his jaw, quite amazed.

Jacq, the reaper who was guarding the barrier,

Saw the reflection, and decided to turn over,

He was surprised like the others, to see such scene,

As Ken still think, of what it could be.

...

Sellena panicked, as her hand glew in the middle of the night,

Making Belphegor, check up if she's alright.

The light was quite blinding, and it did hurt his eyes,

As Sellena failed to navigate, overwhelmed by the light.

"I can't see a thing!" Sellena said quite afraid,

Belphegor was also at awe, and told her to wait for a bit,

He rushed towards Satan, who perhaps should know what to do,

Satan however, was not in his room.

"Damn it. Frick, where is that guy when I needed him?"

He looked everywhere, until he saw him at the balcony, staring ahead,

"Sellena, she's glowing, her hand is...glowing,"

Belphegor explained briefly, as his breath he kept catching.

Satan felt confused, and asked him to repeat again,

"His hand! It's glowing and I don't know what it is!

If we delay further! She may get blind in a few whims!"

"What the...sweet mother of Jesus is that?"

"I don't know, and to fix it I can't!

I thought maybe you know what to do?

After all, you're smarter than I do."

Satan runs behind Belphegor,

Who guided him, wasting time no more,

They arrived, where Sellena kept her eyes shut,

Her hand illuminating the dark.

"The heck, I can't see a thing? Where is she?"

Sellena spoke, although not clearly,

Satan's eyes glowed, as he tried to see despite the blinding light,

He managed to come beside her, but how it hurt his eyes.

He chanted a spell, but it didn't wore it off,

He even tried to cover it, with an enchanted piece of cloth,

But it never ceased and Satan began to feel weak,

As the light kept on glowing, never going bleak.

Suddenly, enchanted scribbles began to appear on Sellena's arm,

As she screamed, as if inflicted harm.

The glow faded away, taking them by surprise,

But a shockinv figure, appeared briefly in the dark.

A man with red hair, and green eyes appeared by her side,

Whispering something, only she can hear as Satan couldn't believe his eyes,

Just some years ago, he had known the familiar person,

He served under Lucifer's name, what an unexpected relation.

He looked at Sellena in awe, "Does that mean you have always been related to a demon?"

As Sellena did not get, the words and Satan's dreaded expression.

("That... man, he and his brother once sealed our passage,

This weakly looking woman, what else does she possess?")

The brief whispers of a reminder,

Was embedded in Sellena's head,

The man claimed to be her ancestor,

Sending the message, though he's long dead.

It was a tradition for the seer's spirit to live within its blood,

Though Sellena cannot see futures, she was blessed enough.

She looked at Satan, who was frozen still,

As Belphegor felt the same way, one thing is clear.

The two left Sellena and abruptly locked the door,

As the two headed towards Asmodeus, with a news in store,

The demon, looked at them quite surprised,

"Go on, tell me what you have in mind."

Asmodeus was dragged quickly by Satan,

As he looked at him, fiercely as he can.

"That woman, she is related to that bastard who helped seal us for a hundred years!

She will do it again! I know! And I feel it's near!"

Asmodeus was speechless, but he broke it off in a minute,

"How are you so sure? What happened? Tell me clearly,"

"We saw his spirit, appeared as her hand glowed,

It means she is truly the chosen, to seal us again from this world,"

"I..." Asmodeus had nothing else to say,

He felt a bit of heartbreak, though he should have seen it right away.

"You have to kill her, before anything of this comes or else,

I will marry her too, and kill her myself...

We all know that since you married her, the seal was rendered useless,

And when faced by a life-threatening danger from outside forces, it activates,

If you do not make up your mind, till November ends,

Lucifer might kill you,

So hurry things up if you can."
