Chapter 137: ASK NOTHING

Selaphiel appeared above them,

His eyes coldly staring at the two,

Samael looked a bit of shocked,

As Stacy wondered if what she sees is true.

She rubbed her eyes, as she looked at him again,

Samael kept his head up, mesmerized by the angel.

Selaphiel felt confused when he recognized the demon,

Now covered in cuts, stitches, as if he's fixed by a sloppy surgeon.

He wondered why he lacked the same fierce eyes he once had,

The demon appearing before him now, even failed to mimic the way former Samael stand.

His robe hid most of his features,

but his arms looked ever more hideous.

He lost the majestic appeal he once possess,

Making Selaphiel thirst to know what happened to him.

"W-who are you?" Stacy weakly mumbled,

Putting her pretending, already into action.

Selaphiel smiles, eager to find out who they are,

As he looked at Samael, "Your companion knows who I am."

Samael tried to remember the characteristics Azazel taught him,

("Pink hair and salmon colored eyes, with a look one could mistaken as mean.")

He smiles and laughs a little, as he moved forward with confidence,

"Selaphiel, archangel of temperance, I was just shocked to see you here."

"You had the look of someone who saw me for the first time,

That was the most expressive face you gave in a long long while.

What happened to you? Why do you look like a ragged doll?

Why is your skin broken and scarred?

As your arms, all but clawed?"

Samael hid his fear as he looked at the angel from above,

Slowly, Selaphiel descends, but still far enough in case it's a trap.

The two were all but in awe,

Mesmerized by a real angel in front,

Samael faked a cough and looked at him directly,

"I just...encountered, a very strong enemy."

"Hm, be precise, who would do such thing?

You are strong and capable, but this is the lowest of you, I've seen,

And who is that woman from the back?

Did you rescued her? Is she an ally? Tell me what's up."

Every word was recieving more intonation,

As Samael tried to recall what to say if given the situation.

He moved a bit closer, as Selaphiel moved slowly back,

"It was Lucifer. He set me up."

"Lucifer? He isn't the type to scratch and bite his enemies,

If I were to deduce, Beelzebub would have been fitting for your body's ruined form,

Although, I wonder how a weakened beast be able to get near the Great Samael,

There's a lot of plot holes, and you should know that well."

Samael felt trapped, but his calm expression did not changed,

"They weakened me with something, I now forget,

It was all fast, and while I was all weak,

Lucifer pinned me down, as Beelzebub, tried to eat.

I fought with all my might,

And managed to save a prisoner I bumped in inside,

She claimed to have known the hero,

She is innocent, a victim of this gruesome fight."

Selaphiel nodded, but he still doesn't feel comfortable,

"Do you know? How to help a pregnant lady? Whose child is fathered by a demon?"

Samael nodded, "All demons are aware of that,

My friend right here, knows about medicine and other crafts.

She is forced to work for the demons,

And was taught to heal them too,

She might be able to help,

More than I would do."

"Hm, very well. And if you're really Samael,

You should know, where we are, so well."

Selaphiel spoke, checking their reaction,

Stacy was worried, and so was Samael,

already in a tight situation.

Samael was not able to answer,

And Selaphiel felt his suspicion grow stronger.

Now aware that it could be desception,

His hand glew, now aiming to hit the imposter.

But before he could do anything,

Stacy walked in front, clearly shaking,

"The demons made a lot of things to him! His body is still in shock!

Even if he wanted to, he can't remember all of the stuff!

He was very kind, and he was the one who told me he saw a refuge for humans,

But because of the fast deterioration of the land,

He felt lost and so we wandered as long as we can.

Please merciful angel, have some love in your heart,

He meant no harm at all, he helped me get this far,

If you are to punish him, then you are punishing a hero,

Without him, I wouldn't have met another tomorrow."

Stacy pretended to cry, and it impressed Samael he almost forgot it's an act,

Now moved by Stacy's defense, Selaphiel's guard temporarily dropped,

He decided to move a bit closer, but still didn't plan on taking them back.

"I will take the Seer, and the lady you are to help,

If the Seer confirms your existence,

Then only that moment I will accept.

And if I found out you did my friends harm,

I'll be sure to lay upon you, the worst... possible... punishment."

His words sent chills to their spines,

But they both agreed, "That will be fine."

Samael looks at Stacy and smiles at her dearly,

A look of appreciation, for their little victory.

Selaphiel quickly formed a barrier,

Which glowed so vividly,

Making the two cover their eyes,

They could hardly see.

And when they opened their eyes,

The angel was no longer there,

And the only thing left that lingered,

Were some specs of glowing white dust in the air.

"When do you think he'd come back?"

"Minutes, if he's that fast."

"What an idiot, it's night and he won't disturb the lady who needed our help,

I guess the earliest possible outcome, would be when the sun had already been long met."

"Why ask me if you're going to bark at me like that."

"It's your fault for being slow and almost costing you your life.

In this situation, you'd be incinerated if not for me,

So you by all means, think highly of me."

"You are just a witch, and your name isn't even known,

Did you not see? How he looked at me with respect?" "When was it shown?"

"You little witch! I'd totally kill you after this mission,"

"What an ungrateful brat, also, who gave you the permission?"

Stacy was about to hit him,

When Samael froze, with the most pained expression she have seen.

His reddish skin were no match from the red that came from his lips,

His auburn colored eyes, feeling warmer as he began to kneel.

He was no better from before,

A dark smoke, tried to leave his body, as he crawls on four,

He couldn't even say a word,

As Stacy quickly made him sit to check his wounds.

She made him drink a green colored water,

Hoping it would make him numb as they were intented to be,

But Samael felt that nothing had changed,

As he looks at himself, with a different shade.

The little bit of smoke that left his body for some unknown reason,

Made him get a few memories go back to its rightful position,

But he dismisses them, deeming them as mere hallucinations,

As he was now aware, perhaps he's a failed experimentation.

Is his former body that different from all the others?

That Azazel himself, failed to master?

He knew questioning it would be more confusing,

So he sticked to the plan,

As Stacy looked at him, checking his injuries.

"What else do you feel?"

"Nothing much, just a pain from here,"

He pointed his chest, as a foreign feeling entered him-overwhelmed,

"I...am sorry for what I said," "I know those things you didn't meant."

Samael was tempted to ask who they really are,

But remembered what Azazel did, to the other specimens who asked too far,

He kept his mouth shut, and decided not to ask,

Although keeping one's curiousity out, is such a heavy task.

"Stacy, you should check yourself more from now on,

I'm sorry for being a burden, Azazel should have tasked Jacob."

"It's no problem, and I didn't really mean them,

Having Jacob here, would be difficult and different."

Samael stands up, as Stacy yells at him again,

"You are still not in a good shape! You're still weak, I can tell!"

"Well, it's not like you can build a shelter on your own,

You may be a witch, but you can't build a tent with mere potions.

It will be quick, so just stand right there,

I'd gather some woods, and make fire as well."

"Fine, but if you need help just say my name!"

"Yeah, but I doubt you can carry a single log with that arms,"

"Are you pissing me off again?"

"Hah, you're really a witch, hotter than fire."

Stacy gestures him to get moving,

As she looks at the other side, to distract herself from him,

Samael smiles one last time, before he proceeded with his task,

As he quickly was able to grab the branches needed, despite the growing dark.
