Chapter 143: A WOMAN'S ENVY

Mar quickly moved and dodged the attacks,

Saving herself from even a small scratch.

The angel Joseph moved the sword here and there,

But Mar was easy to learn, and prevented herself from being wounded, by using her tactics, whilst still being fair.

Even the archangels were impressed,

"She had more guts and spirit than some men,"

Ken nodded and felt proud of his friend,

"Ever since that day, she was the one who knows fighting,

If not for her, I'm as good as dead."

Many were training alongside Mar,

But she was the one who stands most of all,

She fights with confidence, and sheer determination,

It's hard not to see her, with all those swift and clean motions.

Stacy on the other hand watched, half-envious and impressed,

("Who would have thought she can move that swiftly? Despite the size of her chest."

She couldn't help but roll her eyes, when Joseph ended their session.

She wouldn't have been surprised,

If Mar sabotages her mission.

As Mar was about to ask for water,

She stepped on her tie, that fell broken on the floor.

Ken quickly realized what's wrong,

And since Mar's hair were very thick and long,

It's hard to organize it without a tie,

So he took his and gave it to her with a smile.

He tied her hair as Stacy watched boiling in anger,

(Now how can I seduce him when he's with her???)

She felt herself almost lashing out,

But reminded that she shouldn't, not while all the archangels are around.

To at least make herself seem genuine,

She gave Mar a glass of water and her own handkerchief as she hid her evil schemes,

Mar took it as a very sweet gesture,

As Ken realized Stacy's still retained her caring and giving nature.

To show his own gratitude and guilt,

And to show he trusts her for her generosity and gift,

He decided to talk to her and personally thank her,

As he apologized for ever hurting her.

Stacy was angry, but she shouldn't let it show,

So she acted humble, apologizing more.

"It's also my fault, I shouldn't have walked away without a word,

I just wanted to help, but I understand if you don't trust me so."

"I'm very sorry, we were often tricked and I just...I'm tired of it.

Treachery is the worst thing someone could make.

And...I, I'm sorry for not trusting you before,

I...I just remembered something when you offered me that weird colored water."

"Ah, well, I promise not to do things that seems suspicious,

Though I assure you, never did I meant it to be malicious,

As some slave who was forced to be a doctor,

I have been trained to make antidotes, and there's no option for failure.

If I did wrong in the ingredients,

I would have ended dead,

Most of us were slain,

So I was lucky enough to be saved."

Stacy lied and fabricated her story,

As Ken was eager to listen much deeply,

"And I heard a demon was what kept you company,"

"Yes, Samael, he was the sole one who helped me."

"You seemed skinnier too, what do you eat?"

"Well, mostly leftovers, it's rare to eat meat,"

"Ah, that's unfortunate to hear,

When I was there, the food also doesn't taste half as good as here."

"I know, right? Heh, I...I really missed being treated a human,

Ya know, since those demons can't.

They kept bossing me around and starving me if I don't follow,

I felt loveless and that I doesn't matter."

"Well, the good thing is you're here, you can start over.

You're a kind person! So you'd be blessed with all you wish for,

Don't worry, me and Mar will support you 'alllll' the way,

Just relax and savor the peace, this moment you've long so await."

"Thanks for the kind words, I appreciate them very much,"

"Yeah, no problem. Just ask."

Ken leaves, when the archangels called for him to train,

As Stacy sighed, stopping herself from the urge to complain.

...

155 continued scrubbing the pots and dishes,

As the other maids laugh, while they look at her body, filled with bite marks and bruises.

"You look like you enjoyed yourself,"

One taunted as she only glared.

No. It was never fun for her, not even once.

She was treated as an object, all her life.

Although Lucifer was the only one who sexually abuses her,

She was beaten up even when young, and her skin always stings, and it'd also heal painfully slower.

Even with Lucifer gifting her immortality,

Her existence felt meaningless and empty.

Even when she was spoiled with the dose of wine every session,

To Lucifer, she was nothing but mere possession.

She was about to move along,

When someone tripped her and those she's carrying broke,

She wounded her knees by the shards that meshed with it as she fall,

As those around her, laughed as she stop herself from crying,

no one from the maids comforted at all.

They were very envious she was getting the attention,

As they have waited centuries, just to get their turns,

But ever since she came, she had always been one of Lucifer's favorites,

Because of her intellengence, and her cunning tricks.

What made them angry was that 155 used to make several attempts to escape Lucifer's grasp,

But than to punish her, the only thing he did was feel amused and laugh.

They thought it was unfair, so they made her stay, a living hell,

As she endures the suffering, hoping someday it'd end.

They kept mocking her time and time again,

When Haborym could no longer pretend he wasn't there.

Truth be told though he thinks 155 was annoying,

He still thinks it was a pure insult, to see Lucifer's concubine be ridiculed to nothing.

He released his vipers to scare away the maids,

As 155 looked up, to see who had her saved.

It was Haborym, whose eyes still look like they didn't care,

But his hands were reaching for her,

As she cried and her cheeks tainted wet.

She felt like a dirty dog, and she complained and let out her frustrations,

As Haborym listened, as he carried her without hesitation.

The maids felt even more envious,

Wondering if they could frame her death,

to snatch her position.

"That lucky brat, getting all the higher-ups for herself,

I should have killed her, if not her being Lucifer's beloved toy,"

One told to herself, as Haborym's snake sensed her wrath,

As a result, it bit her deeply,

As the others yelled out in shock.

The obedient demon checked up on her wounds,

Cleaning them as he noticed her tattered clothes.

Lucifer was really careless, he left her a mess.

Even Haborym felt sorry, she was treated so less.

"I just want to belong to someone,

And for someone to belong to me,"

155 said, in a voice which sounded

weak and melancholic.

The demon did not respond,

For to answer her, he simply can't.

What should he say when he don't understand what those words mean anyways?

He don't believe in such feelings,

He believed they're what hinders men.

"Would Lucifer...ever truly stop treating me an object?"

"He's Lord Lucifer, he do what he wants only for himself.

He doesn't care if it hurts the other person,

He enjoys evil, he doesn't need a reason."

Haborym answered in a monotonous tone,

As he continued patching her open wounds.

155 hissed in pain, but endured it anyways,

As she looks around his room,

"Oh, and they threw away your book."

"I know, that's why I asked my troops to burn the culprit's hands,

That was my book, how dare they commit such act."

155 felt satisfied, hearing those maids were punished accordingly,

"Ah, you should have done more, considering what they did to me."

"Remember your place, 155,

I did it for me, not for you, it's not a lie.

I may have respect you, but be aware of the huge gap between us,

I am still one of your Masters, and I won't do what you simply ask."

155 fell into silence,

As Haborym saw there's more scratches up to her legs.

He sighed as he wondered what kind of torture Lucifer had her went through,

Wondering if he even used whips, to make her skin appear this blue.

"You, don't work for two weeks,"

Haborym informed her, while in happiness she couldn't speak,

But remembering that the maids would kill her if she only sleeps,

Her face was then again, painted with worry.

Haborym seemed to have read her mind,

And pitying her situation he lowered his pride,

After patching up her wounds and hearing her quietly cry,

He prepared her a set of clothes, as she looked at him with gratitude and a smile.

"Yes, I confirm it, you're sleeping here.

But remember that we have a deal.

You won't boss me around, and I won't give you any favors,

I'd feed you the same food I feed the other maids,

No special treatment, we're only together."

Still 155 was satisfied sleeping in a room so tidy and organized.

She felt so happy that she's using all her will to stop herself from hugging the demon present,

She quickly took the clothes to see which one best fits.

As Haborym wonders, if Lucifer would be angered when he finds out about it.
