Chapter 170: FOR THE SAKE OF HIS MEMORY

Samael broke its jaw open and made sure the teeth was off,

But despite what he did, it was healing, though slowly it does.

He frantically looks at Ken who quickly charged himself up,

And with a swift movement, let himself inside the monster,

while those watching him could only gasp.

What was Ken thinking?

He quickly held his breath and burned its insides,

While also trying hard not to self inflict much harm.

He eventually cuts the monster in two,

Destroying the heart as he pants a few.

Wanting to make sure the monster is finished,

He blasted at its two seperate halves, although it wasn't moving.

As the chunks of flesh burst out in the air,

Ken remembered Lluming and turned to see him fail.

Despite Lluming trying his best to stab Eligorr,

The hybrid had a lot of other tricks in store.

He was undeniably upgraded and prepared for this special mission,

A special scent from his palm was released, causing Lluming to have some delusions.

Lluming tried to fight them off,

And though Ken could not see what went wrong,

He knew that Lluming was gritting his teeth so hard,

Trying to fight the reality Eligorr had warped.

He quickly tried to crush Eligorr's skull,

But his agressive attack was proven too rash,

He gave an opening, and Eligorr managed to kick him off,

As he tried to stand despite the dizziness.

"You have way too many flaws."

Eligorr quickly smiles and extended his hand on his left,

As a new information had then been revealed.

What Lluming thought was cloth and burned was actually fine all along,

Eligorr creates the coat from nothing,

It was like blasts made of his own flare,

But than attack, it was part of himself.

"This is my Creator's gift."

(Hands that could do me a few favors to win.)

He quickly charges towards Lluming, who was still on the ground,

Until Ken decided to use the power of sound.

He blasted the whole area although it felt overbearing,

So much that his own ears bleed.

The distraction gave oppurtunity for Lluming to see the fault,

And that Eligorr went to the high air, but through the smoke formed he got caught.

Lluming ceased the opportunity seeing him briefly,

And told Ken to burn the ground as he gives off a vibrant light above.

He also told Ken to look down as it will harm his eye,

So Ken nodded quickly and followed his advice.

Overwhelmed by the noise, Eligorr moved higher and higher,

But the potion on his side fell from the weakening chains holding it together.

It fell on the little chunks left of the monster,

And to the nine unfortunate pieces it fell to,

Rose new creatures.

Ken panicked when he saw his enemies reappeared.

And by then, the red reapers were not at ease.

Being the reapers that could teleport at will,

They asked Michael if they could help the two fight and kill.

Unlike the other reapers, their teleporting abilities drain less flare,

And faster than other types as well.

However, since Michael knew that the reapers were getting scarced,

Couldn't help but feel still as he to Selaphiel then asked.

The archangel in question told them they should,

But Gabriel quickly objected saying that it could lead to more lost souls.

"This is war. Many could die of murder, Selaphiel.

Without these reapers, things won't end well."

"If those monsters succeed, then more will be dead,

As much as I hate to send off sacrifices, we don't have much options left.

As much as I, wanted to help them,

Us, angels should for now defend.

Red reapers, assemble and prepare yourselves of death."

Jacq, the reaper which Ken saved once,

Was willing to come and aid his back.

And when Ken was about to fall to his knees,

He fell into surprise after seeing a lot of reapers appear before him.

But...they need to be saved,

Their numbers are still healing.

"Ken, don't get too distracted!

There's more to defeat, so just keep going!"

He heard the familiar voice, and smiled widely,

"Jacq! You...came?" "Right behind you, buddy!"

Samael seeing the new faces decided to lend the fight to them,

As he asks Azazel if he plans to kill him.

Azazel laughs and says he'd survive,

But Samael's pain, was unbearable to hide.

He tells Azazel in his mind of how much pain he is suffering,

But Azazel assures him of the benefits he'd be having.

He assured him that even if they win or lose, an advantage will be given,

So he just have to suffer a bit and reap the fruit of his bidding.

Samael smiles hopefully and passes out,

As Ken worried even if he was wary of the stranger with horns around.

He focuses on the monsters in front of him,

A bit regretful that he takes a lot of breaks.

He should have trained his endurance more,

Because now, he feels like anytime he could turn to a ghost.

He shakes his head as he feels his vission coming back.

And after hoping for God's help,

He felt his body turn hot.

He dropped to his knees as he feel a painful feeling on his left part of the face,

It opened and two sharp eyes were placed.

He fell into surprise as he saw the monsters moving in blurry lines,

As if slow-paced memories, appearing in one's mind.

He realized he was seeing the future actions,

But don't know for how long.

Opening his other eyes felt draining so he needed to act fast.

And thus he used his normal eye and seer eyes,

to finish the job.

Jacq supported him as the other reapers handle the others.

Though smaller than before, the monsters were agile and quicker.

It became hard for them to predict their moves,

So Ken was happy he could put his ability to great use.

Although using it left his body weak and dizzy,

As he fights off the urge to puke and fall suddenly.

He yells as if to get his spirits up,

As Lluming was being attacked in the sky.

He yelled just the same, broken and pained,

And when God's angel begged for rest,

It suddenly rained.

The rain made Eligorr appear, even with his coat own.

"Ah, so the coward was now finally left with no other choice."

Lluming mocked as he had his two pairs of wings flap majestically.

Even with his tattered clothing, his smile was full of pride, confusing his enemy.

He thought Lluming was just easy.

"I've heard about you from Master.

You and this body, were close, aren't you?"

"Shut up, monster."

"Didn't you know Eleazar is still alive inside?

(He lied.)

And he's even begging me not to kill you,

Does that not hurt you inside?

So...frankly speaking, you can't risk killing me,"

"You're not telling the truth."

"I am...telling the truth,

So sad that while your brother is screaming at me not to stab your body,

You're here, not even hesitating on killing me.

Killing us."

"A demon's word should not be blessed with trust."

"And so you're willing to break his heart?

To shatter his dreams to reunite with you?"

Lluming laughs, although his heart is already confused.

"Shut up so I can kill you,"

"Ah, words that're not very fitting for an angel, I'm quite amused.

So I guess we'll dance, a dance of chaos,

Get ready then, because I'll be using your brother.

With his abilities, you know who's stronger."

"Stop talking, and using my brother's voice to spit such lies,

Even if think you're stronger, I'll make sure you die.

For the sake of the memory my good brother had,

I promise to him, I'll kill you, and set his spirit free at last.

You, you are not him. You're a monster, a demon,

How disgraceful for you to wear a great and loving angel as your mascot.

With that, I'll make sure you rot."

Lluming's eyes glowed even more blue,

As a storm formed with dark clouds appearing at view.

Thunder rolled as Eligorr made a barrier to not wet his wings.

He looks at Lluming's unfaltered expression and gritted his teeth.

"You do not know who you're challenging, Lluming,"

"Don't speak to me so highly when you were only born this year."

...

Michael watches with great sadness the scene displayed before his eyes,

Wondering if Lluming could overcome his sad past.

Despite Selaphiel being a bit distant on the chief,

He can't help but glance at him from time to time,

A bit worried.

And finally, when he sees that the worry in his eyes did not easen up,

Selaphiel finally had enough.

"They'll do fine. We have God,"

And suddenly, it broke the ice.

Michael smiles and felt happy his brother showed concern,

But it did not make his feeling less worse.

He may be doing his job in making sure the barrier is strong,

But watching them fight as they watch, felt so wrong.

He was not used to see this.

And his heart was definitely not at ease.

Selaphiel recalls how Uriel always know just what to say.

And wondered just what he would do,

if he sees Michael look this way.

Will everything really turn out okay?
