Chapter 192: AN UNFAVORED REUNION

(Ken's POV)

I really doubt I could keep this up with just myself,

I'd be dead if I don't get some help.

However, it seems that the telephatic signal is blocked somewhere,

As I could only hear the angels behind me panic,

oh...well.

I know my limits more than anyone else,

And it won't take a genius to know I'm starting to..feel unwell,

My fever, or at least how it feels like, is still bothering my reflexes,

I swear, the cold icy texture of the ground didn't helped.

Soon, my limitations caught up to me,

As I feel my legs wobble and my attacks have gotten sloppy.

These monsters are harder to fight since I cannot see any injury,

If only this was a game, I could have easily purchased some items and hurry.

My thoughts were interrupted by the stinging pain in my left,

Well, I got a new cut as expected.

Climbing, evading, jumping, it's all too much,

Eventually, I'll fall behind.

The pain did not stop there,

As I saw Leviathan suddenly smirked,

"Now, you're really dead,

And soon, you'll join the dirt."

I soon remembered how Haborym emphasized that I shouldn't get any opening wounds,

As Leviathan can freeze my blood when he sees a passage-then I'll be doomed.

Scared for my life, I quickly hurried to grab the dragon's tail,

Seeing that it was the closest being to me, since the trees around me had already withered away.

Screw being screwed to the ground,

Recovering from having frozen blood is impossible,

I am no demon, I cannot do what they can,

I don't even care anymore, I just...wait, what is that noise?

I could see the way Leviathan's face crinkled,

The moment one of the dragon's head rolled over.

Two entities I haven't met before,

Came to my rescue, although I don't know if they're pure.

The woman, who had brown hair and rather dark eyes,

Told me that staying still is wise.

She quickly formed a barrier, five times bigger than the angels behind,

What's more fascinating is that...it can deflect attacks.

I suddenly felt ashamed,

Having been needed protection again.

The other newcomer, stayed outside the barrier,

What's unusual is that he got his eyes covered.

His blue hair is darker yet similar to Haborym's,

But he is way more muscular, much wider in built.

He speaks as if he knows me,

Comforting me that I had done all I can,

He then thanks the angels from behind,

Assuring that this time, he'll continue the fight.

I did not listen much to what he's talking about,

Instead wondered how he's going to win somehow.

He got his eyes covered, and he doesn't have any weapons either,

And he doesn't look like an angel, a demon or a reaper.

My doubts were soon swayed when he removed the bloody covers,

Staring at the dragon, and soon having it wither over.

I felt scared, seeing that only his companion's barrier is saving me from such ferocity,

What incredible creature. But who is he?

I stood up, trying to get a better move,

Looking at the way he attack, thinking of how I can improve.

The lady behind me smiles, then comments on how our eyes look alike.

I froze a bit, confused of why she'd comment such a thing.

"It may not be a breeze to accept and yet,

I'll make you less confused by saying you're related.

But...he's not your grandfather, nor your great grandfather,

It's a long story, but he is certainly your ancestor.

I was worried that after some time, the future would look less and less like us but here we are,

You look like a mix of us no matter how far."

I was confused. Unable to fully grasp why she sounds excited when her partner is battling a million-old demon outside,

She's that confident, perhaps,

Maybe they have beaten Leviathan in the past.

Our conversation had been cut short however,

When blood spilled in the barrier.

She smiles and then I was sure,

It wasn't of my ancestor.

The three dragons that I had been struggling to get away from,

Were now but mere bloodshed and dust.

I counted the heads and they weren't even three,

Leviathan summoned more and more,

but no number could harm the guy completely.

I noticed how tight Leviathan's eyes are shut,

And how shaky his hands are.

Perhaps, there really is no way one could survive,

When you're fighting someone who could disintegrate you in an instance.

Soon I realized something very crucial,

That the longer his eyes are opened, the more blood comes out of it,

So to put things short,

There is also a big limit.

The creature with bloody eyes soon closed them,

Painfully gritting his teeth as Leviathan smiles,

"You're open,"

I thought Leviathan was going to win until suddenly the barrier became bigger,

Deflecting the ice that Leviathan was going to throw over.

The ice even broke apart and caught his own eye,

Hurting the demon and cursing our names behind.

That is when I found out their names. Aza and Abaddon,

Furthermore, Leviathan calls them both traitors.

Seeing that there is no way he could overpower the perfect duo,

Leviathan scrambles and swims away from the trouble.

He quickly froze the waters so no one could follow,

But we weren't planning to at all,

As the lady said, to see Raphael soon is our goal for now.

"This is rescue, not really about fighting who,

So we better hurry and get you to Raphael,

Before we encounter more fools."

Aza says, as she wraps my wound with a piece or her dress,

I felt happy yet sad, for having someone to nurture me, was an experience I rarely felt.

"I see...you're not used to this, huh?

Well, I'm sorry you have to feel alone.

But don't worry, this burden won't be yours at all,

We'll take a part of it too, so keep smiling, alright?

You can make it, don't let the evil rule."

I nodded, and suddenly I got chills when HE spoke.

The one the demon called Abaddon, suddenly spoke.

"You're younger than I imagined you would be,

I wonder if the heavens are really certain of this."

"Oh, don't doubt the prophecy.

He could fight, didn't you see?"

"But he almost died if we didn't arrive as soon,

He is just a kid, too young to have been used as a tool."

"Aw, Abaddon, I know you care so much but he is not that young,

He had already done so much, and had survived this long.

Sure, he gets in trouble quite a lot,

But it's in his blood.

Kind of like Gabby, right?

She gets in trouble so much.

Always facing near death experiences,

She would have died if it wasn't for Red.

And yet who would have known?

She's suddenly stronger than her knight-and-shining armor."

"I know, but things are more dangerous now,

The reapers are lower in count.

The angels are occupied and scattered,

And the demons...now wield more power.

I may have not been present on this young man's life till now,

But as family, I still am afraid his efforts aren't enough.

There's simply less time for him to know what to do,

To fight in a war, he doesn't have a clue."

"Just believe in him a little, will you?"

Her eyes pleaded that he reconsiders his truths.

And with a little contemplation, he finally agrees,

"Fine, I'll trust this boy, I'll pray that he succeed."

I couldn't help but smile hearing that,

But realizing that he got worried made me so as well,

The demon we encountered, is not even half as powerful,

When compared to the ever-prideful Lucifer.

How can...how can I even last a second when faced to that monster?

And more so, how are the others?

"Are you alright, there?"

I asked the angels in the back.

They smile rather feebly,

The power drained on them, undeniably much.

I helped assist them, though I'm exhausted myself.

But we have another dillema,

Figuring out where Sir Raphael went.

Surely after all those time we've spent,

They've changed positions somewhere.

...

(Haborym's POV)

The female dragon protected her brother,

Allowing him to escape somewhere we can't go after.

It was a task, to keep killing them while drowning in this small room,

Curse Leviathan, curse him and his nonexistent horns.

I looked around, seeing the angels haggard and weak,

This is bad, we haven't even delved into the palace-deep.

Not wanting my company to decrease,

I insisted they take a bit of my energy left,

As I look for my half, and Sir Asmodeus,

I just hoped they're alright, somewhere...

...

Asmodeus was impatiently waiting on his room,

Oblivious that their plans had been found out too soon.

Sellena had a feeling it would not work,

As she craddles the baby, crying so soft.

"Asmodeus, Lluming is taking so long,"

"Just have more patience dear,"

"But what if something is wrong?"

Her thoughts were given evidence when they felt sudden shaking,

Asmodeus quickly believed his wife, as he takes her hand,

"Then follow me darling."

They quickly used a secret passage to avoid confrontation,

As Sellena's heart beat faster and faster, unsure of the mission's succession,

Her worries doubled, as she heard a familiar voice,

And as soon as she did, she saw a snake appeared in her front.

The dark passageway seemed even more colder,

When appeared before the two,

was the Lord of all lies, a favorite of Lucifer.

Asmodeus froze as he stutters and pales,

"Oh, my sweet Asmo, with all the things I've lavished you, this is all you'd do to repay?"

Satan spoke, rather coldly, but his expression in complete dismay.

"How could you do this? How dare you oppose our way?"
