Chapter 216: SPLIT DECISION

Michael quickly told everyone to disperse,

But none got to do what was told.

It was too late when he realized that it was not meant to fool,

That the fire, was truly, about to strike the tower.

His body froze, stunned and puzzled,

Why did such thing suddenly happened?

He then heard heavenly trumpets,

And the rain poured heavily, not a second of silence.

The tower, before his eyes, split in two from the impact,

While Stacy and her army, felt confused of the attack.

Had their God gone mad?

Is she seeing things right?

Nonetheless, not wanting to waste time,

she told everyone to strike.

...

The breeze...it was very cool,

But the screams she hears,

Made her body warm.

Sellena slowly opened her eyes,

And was shocked to see Lluming holding her in his arms.

The archangel was flying, looking at the skies,

The same confused expression, all angels now have.

His two pair of wings tirelessly flap,

As he scans the surroundings, wary of any attack,

When Sellena had recovered from the shock,

She quickly looked for Ken, and found him on the other side.

"Why did no one-"

"He can teleport himself at any time,"

Lluming then looked at his right,

Where all the angels are,

He flew towards the fold,

Already dreading the sound of war.

As they near towards the group,

Lluming felt something hard to ignore.

He can well feel the fast pounding of her heart,

Could it be nervousness, her, being scared, perhaps?

But after recalling her soft and caring side,

He couldn't help but feel, it may be love.

Her eyes looked at the devils with mercy,

Wanting to save them all badly.

She stretches her hands, as if counting mentally,

How many of them, seemed just forced to take on their duties.

Lluming looked at the devils her eyes had scanned,

But he couldn't feel the same way she can.

He felt anger, he felt upset,

They had a firm choice, but blew it all away.

"Sellena, I cannot protect you everytime,

And also, Ken is right.

Just because one snake refused to bite you,

all of them would do the same,

So I need you to look at them with no mercy, because not all monsters can be tamed.

Sellena, this is the only exception, where we refuse to save."

Sellena's heart tore in half,

Knowing that she had to shut her heart,

Beelzebub and Belphegor,

She'll have to face the truth,

That she can't save both.

She nodded nonetheless,

Aware of the mess they had made,

So by the time she was dropped down,

She swallowed her mercy,

And looked at the devils like the rest.

Lluming spread his wings open,

Urging the angels to do the same,

They made a powerful barrier together,

Hoping that it was enough to protect.

...

Ken's eyes had not been lying,

He saw his own friend, Stacy, leading.

And so, he teleported to her front, deeply angry,

Filled with questions, to count, too many.

He even ignored the fire that tore the tower in half,

The moment he saw Stacy, as he falls from the ground,

He punched Stacy's face with brute force,

That quickly made her vomit blood.

Stacy was too stunned to see him with such face,

His soft look, painted with rage.

She tried to use her eyes, but Ken had not been affected,

He wasn't looking at her anymore, as his own vision had already blurred.

Tears fell from his eyes,

Not able to believe, she could lie.

"I refuse to believe you weren't kind,

All I ask was you to answer, why?"

Stacy got up and tried again,

This time, using her knowledge in medicine,

With her given strength and speed,

She tried to prick him with syringes as he speaks.

But Ken had not trained for nothing,

He quickly outpowered her, thanks to training,

Stacy was left confused,

Is he a reaper? An angel? Or fused?

More demons tried to stop him,

But he did not let them win.

He kept coming and coming back to Stacy,

Determined to know the truth,

Of why she chose evil.

With her own frustrations,

And the fact he was always close,

She decided to tell him the truth,

And in a shaky voice, spoke.

"Fine, your friend is dead all this time,

I borrowed her body, used her identity,

To decieve you, yeah Lluming's right.

She's not here with you anymore,

She's nothing but a shell now,

Never to be found."

Ken's pupils shrinked in anger,

And blinded by his own wrath,

Failed to put his cool altogether.

The straightforwardness of his attack,

Made it easier for him to block.

Ken's eyes were only watching Stacy,

Making her take the upper hand,

As she controls those around her,

To shield her from the Seer's fury.

Michael, who saw what was happening,

Quickly tried to talk Ken out of it,

But before he can come closer,

He heard Mammon lunged towards him.

The ever-swift demon was made more lethal,

With his four arms, and his mind twice brutal.

With his mourning far from finished,

He only had one desire,

And it's to kill all angels.

And so, with his fingertips much longer,

And his speed, terrifyingly doubled,

Michael, who had overpowered Satan, himself,

In face with Mammon, felt quite challenged.

As his barrier was not the strongest,

His matchup with Mammon's new form

was not the best.

His lungs felt like it was on fire,

Trying to slice the demon's hands,

while also taking cover.

But none of it proved to be easier.

As none could underestimate, the wrath of a father.

...

Lucifer sips his cup one more time,

Hearing all the noises outside,

"It seemed that the war had officially started,

No wonder I brought wine."

Selaphiel felt uneasy, as he recognized the aura immediately,

Lucifer's eyes lusted for blood, and he would join the fight in no time.

Knowing that his cover will be blown soon, Selaphiel sent a butterfly to speak of his discoveries,

But he was not saved from doom,

The moment Lucifer turned around, with Selaphiel looking a little weird for him.

"I swore I saw something glow,"

"It must be the wine, you know?"

"No, wine...hah, it cannot be,

Say, uh, are you...perhaps lying to me?"

The question sent chills to Selaphiel's arms,

As he tried to keep up, not lowering his guard.

"What reason would I have to lie to you?"

"Hah, I don't know...after all, you're just an archangel, who pledged to be all-loving and true."

Selaphiel felt his cover peeling,

But in hopes to keep Lucifer out of the battlefield, he kept conversing,

"I have told you time and time again,

My knowledge is useless, if not shared.

And the angels, oh how they value their hearts more than their minds,

And you're telling me, if I'm going to lie?

I am not dumb, Lucifer.

I will not betray someone so powerful."

Despite his attempts of persuading Lucifer,

The demon saw a hole to ruin his cover,

"But didn't you believe your God to be more powerful?

So you're less scared of Him, than His failed creation?"

Selaphiel laughed and looked him in the eye,

"Why would I think that of Him,

When He cannot stop you, all this time?"

The answer satisfied the demon of pride,

And he thought perhaps,

Selaphiel couldn't have lied.
