Chapter 245: MAKE ME POWERFUL

The snakes around the stranger's head hissed in pride after seeing their next target-

Martha, who was barely aware that he was there.

She heard nothing approaching, and thus did not turn.

And was but shocked, when she saw him appear, his eyes so red and intense they could burn.

The strange man has that unsettling smile that caused her to freeze,

And though his face doesn't have feautures that will be too frightening,

There was something telling Martha not to trust him.

His aura, was definitely of a merciless devil.

She did not know whether it was who Azazel wanted her to fight,

Or one of his allies.

But more than that, some thoughts crept her head.

Would she finally be killed because of her unwillingness?

Would she finally be punished?

Her chest, no matter how much she tried to calm it,

Could not help but tightened.

She held her sword with her legs shaking.

This demon staring at her,

Was emitting danger indeed.

The stranger smiled michievously,

His eyes almost closing.

He then quickly zoomed towards her,

And to Martha's surprise, vanished in turn.

She turned around, looked for him everywhere,

But as she searched the arena of where he had fled,

She felt pricking spikes in her chest.

She then finally heard the voice, talking inside her mind.

Telling her not to resist him, or else she would die.

"I will be borrowing your body, only for a test.

So no need to fear me, just calm down and rest."

Martha felt like vomiting as the heavy spirit refuse to leave her,

She felt her hands running cold,

And her feet feeling heavier.

She yelled for the demon to leave,

As she does not want to give up her body.

But as Martha was starting to lose conciosness,

She thought of what would be better to her end.

She rose her sword and aimed it to her stomach,

But before it could pierce her, her vision turned to black.

The woman fell to the floor, and Azazel laughed.

"Alright now, stranger. I appreciate the effort a lot.

Now, now, I would like to see how strong you are.

Rise up now, my monsters won't be far."

Azazel released his most precious beasts,

Beasts stripped of guilt, and fueled by sins.

They roared in turn, all in such nightmarish forms,

Mouths salivating, could not wait no more.

The woman then rose, her eyes now red.

And in a threatening voice, spoke to Azazel.

"It is I, who now resides in this frail creature's body,

Who will defeat all your pets, even without the help of this sword she carry."

Azazel nodded, and gestured the fight to start,

But with how fast the stranger moved,

Azazel was much shocked.

He swore he saw smoke released by the demon as he ran.

And his snakes, he had summoned, was revealed to have gone.

When the demon finally emerged from the smoke and dispersed it,

Azazel could barely believe what now happen.

The snakes were biting parts of the monsters,

And somehow influenced their actions.

The monsters now began attacking each other,

And because of the spectacular scene, Azazel was won over.

With such majestic power, Azazel would be undefeatable,

Even if it meant merging himself with another entity,

It wouldn't truly matter.

Meanwhile the stranger got out of Martha,

Who fell to the ground, unconcious still.

The demon showed a face of disgust,

Hinting that staying in her mind,

was not liked by him.

"Too pure, too kind. I can't control her if she keeps being like that.

Unlike my recent vessel, this one is clinging to her good side all the time.

It would be a relief if I see a vessel,

With only hate on their mind."

The stranger quiet down after he sensed Azazel approaching.

"Fine then, we have a deal.

But the moment you become a threat,

You will be disposed of, you understand?"

The stranger wanted to laugh at the statement.

Too prideful for his taste.

And yet, it will be only temporary.

For he'd be using him as well.

"What about the woman? Want me to dispose of her?"

"No, I want her to suffer.

I'll be feeding her to my monsters, whoever gets to her first.

And since the maids are useless to me now,

They can follow after her."

"I love that plan. Quite merciless."

"Of course. I can't become the new God if I have conscience.

Let's go now.

We have to see how the outside is doing.

Oh and Lucifer? I want to torture him.

I want to see him humble himself into a cowardly dog.

I want him to suffer the most."

.

Ken swung his scythe with great mastery,

That Belphegor would believe should have taken years.

And with the dark energy flowing through Ken's veins,

Using his future-peering eyes almost had no limit.

Still, his decision had also caused him some damage,

Since the voices in his head kept annoying him.

He felt his vision bombarded by a lot of events,

Which he until now, could not make sense.

Still, even as he fight Belphegor and tried to go near him,

He tried to absorb everything.

Soon, Belphegor felt weaker as his power deminish,

And Ken then saw a hole through the cursed dream.

He saw reality peeking on Belphegor's side,

And so longingly ran to get out of this trance.

Belphegor however, no matter how afraid,

Tried to block him, but to no avail.

Ken had truly changed throughout the match,

Now upon the discovery of his illusion,

Had the upper hand.

Despite the pain and dizziness Ken was feeling,

He can predict every little movement.

This made Belphegor's efforts bear nothing,

And when he realized he had ran out of summons,

Still tried to foolishly hit him.

This caused Belphegor his last remaining horn.

Which was quickly cut by Ken's scythe.

Belphegor fell down, cowering in fear.

Though he thought he wanted to die,

It was false now, that it is near.

He felt his eye water as he was approached by the seer.

Who was still regrowing his severed hand, that Belphegor had cut.

He then looked at Belphegor, dead were his eyes.

He thought Ken was merciless,

by the looks of it, he'll die.

With the dark energy Ken had been engulfing however,

It was no surprise that his horn grew a bit bigger.

Now, Ken definitely look and smell just like a demon,

And even with his good intentions in mind,

Even good would be fearful.

"No...more. You won't be able to hurt us anymore."

Ken spoke in a deep emotionless voice.

Belphegor bowed down, accepting Ken's anger.

Crying and shaking, knowing he'd lose his life soon.

But when he had expected, to see or feel his blood fall from his lips,

The dreading occurence, did not came.

He opened his eye and saw Ken looking at him,

Hesitation, printed in his face.

Belphegor was in disbelief, how can he forgive him?

When even himself, did not hesitated to attack him.

"Release us from this dream, and I will spare your life."

Ken spoke again, and helped the demon get up.

The demon's blue eye, watered more than he had thought,

Remembering Luna's kindness, he had almost forgot.

He released them both, and Ken quickly scanned the area,

And was horrified, when he realized the absence of Martha.

"Mar! Martha!!" Ken yelled out, but no one answered.

The devastated face on the hero,

Soon triggered traumatic moments for Belphegor.

"I...I'd look for your lover.

You...you fight my brother."

Belphegor spoke sincerely,

Making Ken calmer.

Ken's mind then suddenly went back to what Sellena had said,

That demons...are just lost friends.

He held Belphegor's hand and a surge of power entered the demon.

"Belphegor. Let's be allies. And I'll be forever thankful."

The demon then nodded his head and searched for Martha,

As Ken tried to focus,

On what he must be after.

...

Martha opened her eyes and was shocked to see blood pouring from above.

She turned her gaze up, and felt horrified of what she saw.

A maid had sacrificed herself to save her.

And the blood, was from her head being slowly devoured.

Martha stood up and searched for her sword,

Which was on a far corner.

A monster then quickly tried to charge her,

But to her surprise, she was protected by a monster.

Monsters who had realized her unwillingness to kill their kind before,

Those who had witnessed her hesitantly fulfill Azazel's orders.

They had tried blocking the others,

Just so she can run to her sword.

The remaining maids were protected by a serpent-like man,

Who assures her that they will escape fine.

But before it could truly happen,

Something very big, emerged from the cage.

The monster had been sleeping the whole time,

But was woken up by the scent of human blood.

The other monsters cowered in its presence,

But as Martha picked up her sword,

A loud scream then followed.

Joseph, who felt deeply worried of Martha,

Had searched for her despite not being summoned.

And Martha who felt very grateful of his appearance,

Couldn't help but cry of joy.

"Don't rejoice much, Lady Martha.

For we still have a plenty of trouble."
