CHAPTER 2.1

The amusement park is packed with people. Almost everyone is enjoying their time with rides and other facilities provided. Families are taking selfies left and right, and couples doing lovey-dovey stuff within the park establishments. I suggested where to go but I don't know how to start our afternoon stroll.

"…So what should we do first?" looking at amber at my left. She looks excited because I can see her eyes sparkling.

"Oh…Uhm…maybe the roller coaster ride? Or…"

She gave a specific response on what we will do for the rest of the afternoon, even though I said "first" but I can see she's enjoying herself so I'll just go with the flow with this.

"…So where?" I asked again.

"Okay, my mind is made up! Let's go to the theatre!" she exclaimed in excitement.

"Okay, Okay keep it down shrimp…"

Another ache struck my left leg.

"Ouch, that hurt!"

"Bleh!" Amber make-faced, then run off at the theatre direction. I panicked and ran to catch up. Not made for running so it's a good thing we're dead I can run whatever I want to save some time not worrying about my legs.

"We're here slowpoke!" Amber shouted pointing at the big entrance sign and the movies that are displayed. A lot of people are in-line with the tickets, I think it's packed with people because it's all newly released movies or something, Amber ran inside.

"Hey we should fall in-"Forgot we're dead, so I followed her in. I'm going to say spirits have perks, but wait does this count as a sin? Forget it.

I entered the cinema room I can't see Amber because the theatre is full of people. Even though you're a spirit you can't fly, if it's possible I can easily spot Amber.

"Amber! Where you at!?" I shouted. Well, shouting is my final option, well they can't hear my voice though. How can a girl disappear so easily? I scratched my head in frustration.

"Here! Hey! Over here!" A high pitched noise went in my ear. It was painful.

From the west section seats. I can see Amber waving her hand. How did she get there so dang fast?

We both sat on a red comfy chair we didn't go through the chair though, we don't have any snacks since our digestive system stopped functioning. Still, we sat back and watched the movie. The movie started as soon as we got in our seats. The lights are off and we're in the isolated part of the cinema, so I doubt no living human will venture and sit in this area.

The movie was all about superheroes turning to each other and fighting in some isolated place. To be honest I'm not a big fan of superhero movies, even when I was still breathing. I rather watch documentaries and other educational videos to gain knowledge. Amber on the other hand seems to be hooked in this movie she's also shouting the character names and punching the air in excitement.

I just looked at her and smiled.

Is death really fun like this? I know its sounds absurd because we left a lot of things in our past lives and I can still feel the emotions of sadness and regret, but now. I can enjoy things way beyond than I expected. To be honest it was my first time doing this so I'll be lying if I said I'm not enjoying this.

The movie lasted around two hours, it was long but enjoyable I'm glad that I could watch that before my due date. Amber and I walked side by side as we left the theatre, she was talking about the scenes and the protagonist about how cool the story was. I just listened and laugh along the way. It was already dark so I suggested what park facilities we should go to.

"Uhm…how about you? What do you want?" She asked me back.

"I don't like scary rides so, pass"

"Hehe...I never knew our class helper would be afraid in some rides huh?" She teased me.

"I just don't like high places that's all…." Averting my gaze.

"How about this, I'll help you fight your fear in high places?"

"And how will you do that?"

"Well…Uhm…let see… Holding her chin with her right hand. Then think of something about how I can fight my fear in the high place.

It's embarrassing for me to show this weakness of mine. Then suddenly she had some sort of eureka moment where she stood.

She held my hand tight and ran.

"Hey, w-what are you doing?"

"Just follow me you'll know when we get there!" She exclaimed with excitement.

Letting down a sigh I just dragged along myself from her firm grip.

As I tag along with her plan, I looked up at the star-filled sky it was blue with a hint of black painted color. And you can see the stars glimmering. I wondered if I could see it up close when the time comes. Then a minute or two we stopped. A big tall tower stumbled upon my sight.

I let go of her firm grip.

"You sure you're a girl? That grip is too tight though" I exclaimed

Then she balled her fist threatening to punch me. I raised my arm indicating a white flag.

"Were here!" still the excitement stayed in her tone.

"So what now?"

"First we go all the way up!"

"No way I'm out…" I turned around and walked back, then she suddenly grabbed my back collar at my uniform.

"Come on! Don't be such a tang in the mud! I'm doing this for your own sake!"

"How is this going to benefit me? Were dead! It's not like we will still go to places!"

"I know that but at least you conquered your fear before judgment day right!?"

"What's the point!? I'm already dead! Even if I conquered my fear it's not like I can use it in the future! Face it the world's rules don't apply to us anymore".

"Don't say that! What if we still have a chance to-"

"Amber, wake up! It's too late we're no longer part of this world! You and I are not going back anymore face reality! It's useless fixing something that is broken when it's too late!"

She turned around and didn't reply.

"Jerk…"

She turned around and walked straight to the tower.

I didn't look back I just averted my gaze and stared in the opposite direction.

I saw a vacant bench and sat on it.

My emotions got along, she's just doing it for my sake why do I have to be a jerk? I'm just too disappointed and angry in my current situation that everything that I've been doing in this form doesn't count anything anymore.

"I'm such a hypocrite…"

I rest both my arms on the bench and let out a huge sigh. I just look up and starred at the sky.
