Our Last Promise

After discussing about the formation of team, Jia Yi left hurriedly, even though she was not in any hurry. The reason was very simple, she did not wanted to stay in the same place as him. In the morning, she was quite happy as she saw him but the truth was truth, no matter how much she will love him, and it will not change the fact that he does not love her.


An unrequited love is worthy to not keep, but she cannot make herself understand this and turn away.

While walking toward her car, her mind wandered to somewhere and she felt like someone said this sentence to her.


She looked around her and noticed no one around her.


'Then who told me this sentence', she thought and walked to her car.


"Mr.Jin let's go back home", she said to her chauffeur.


After reaching Chen main mansion, she walked to her room, as she was not in the mood to talk with her parents as she was emotionally tired and she did not want to disturb her parents with her distressed attitude and expression.


She had a shower to remove the tiredness of the day. She then proceeded downstairs to eat her dinner.


During the dinner, she sat down quietly and eats her dinner.


Her silence made her parents worried about her, so they decided to speak something.


"How was your first day in school? Did you enjoy it?" asked Father Chen.


"It was great", Jia Yi replied shortly.


After a pause, she added,"Teachers assigned us to do a group project. Ming Zhu, Chang Min, Young master Song and I joined to make a team. We may need to go to each other's house so as to complete the project."


"Oh", said Father Chen while acknowledging her reply.


"Dear do you need any other help for the project? Which topic are you guys going to work on?" asked Liu Hua, mother Chen.


"No mother. We haven't decided yet", replied Jia Yi.


"Ok then finish your dinner and get some rest. It's not early now, you can sleep a bit more tomorrow as it is a holiday", said mother Chen.


"I have already completed my dinner mother", replied Jia Yi.


"Wait, have some of your favorite durian ice-cream. I made it especially for you", said Mother Chen while stopping Jia Yi.


"Really? You made it. Bring it now, it's been many a days since I eat one", said Jia Yi happily.


After the dinner when she was heading to her bed, she got a message from Ming Zhu to join the video call.
