Family Love

"Jia Yi open the door. It is already very late, how much more are you going to sleep? If you don't open the door now then I am going to ask your brother to break this", shouted Mother Chen from outside.

"Oh god, Why is Mother shouting? What time is it?" said Jia Yi to herself and checked her phone.

"OH MY GOD. I AM DEAD TODAY", shrilled Jia Yi, got up from her bed, and paced towards the door, and opened it.

"Good Morning Mother I woke up early and was studying so I didn't hear y---ahhhhh mo-o-the-rr it-it's hurting", said Jia Yi when Mother Chen pulled her ear.

"Do you think I am a fool, Young Miss Chen, and don't know about you talking with your friends till late night and sleeping till now? I am your mother Chen Jia Yi", said Mother Chen quite calmly unlike her anger.

"Yes mom now please leave my ear", cried Jia Yi.

"Ok get ready, we are going outside", said Mother Chen while glaring at Jia Yi.

"B-but where are we going? No one mentioned me about us going on any trips recently", asked Jia Yi while rubbing her ears in a pitiful way.

"Yes it was not decided previously, and it is a surprise trip. After you came back from the islands, we have not gone on a family vacation for a while so I thought to go somewhere for relaxation for some days before your school studies get into further stages. Also, it is Saturday today, so get ready we are going soon", said Mother Chen.

After hearing, her mother's words Jia Yi remembered the 'incident' again and involuntarily shuddered feeling the pain spread from her heart to her whole body.

Seeing the sudden changes in Jia Yi, she understood that she should not have made her recollect about the previous matters.

Trying to change the topic she said," Jia Yi it would be a great idea for going on a vacation after a while and your brother would be happy seeing you relax, don't you think so?"

"Mom please let me stay back for this time. Yesterday I had school and the teacher gave us a project, so I need to work on it. But I promise to go with you the next time", said Jia Yi with a soft smile to hide her emotions.

Seeing that Jia Yi was struggling to keep her emotions in check, mother Chen sighed and decided to let her stay to let her be undisturbed for a while so that she can adjust to her current lifestyle before she knows about the truth of that day's incident.

"Ok child, stay here but be sure to take care of yourself for the following week that we will be gone", said mother Chen while patting her daughter's cheeks softly and left.

After hearing that Jia Yi was not going, her elder brother Chen Wang Lei also wanted to stay back to look after her.

Hearing this Jia Yi said," Brother I would be alright so don't worry about me and go to enjoy your vacation".

"But how will I be assured that you will be alright this whole week that I will be gone. What if someone tries to harm you... no you need to come with us, or I will be staying here to take care of you", said Wang Lei stressfully. Even though he was a man of few words, his worry was visible to the naked eye.

Chen Wang Lei was a handsome man in his early twenty's, and his appearance, which could make him, stand out in the crowd. He was fair, almost pale white. His unfathomable, Grayish Green eyes contrasted exceptionally with his light-toned face. His eyes were as deep and expressive; where you could get lost if you stared long enough, where worry for his little sister was clearly visible. His face had that faraway look in it, which cannot be described in words. Above all were his frame and his stature. He had a muscular and well-toned body, with 8-pack abs that could be visible from his casual clothing. However, he could stand out in a crowd, which was mostly due to his way of carrying himself. He was the kind of man who had girls swooning over him while having a simple and innocent but groomed and majestic vibe.

Jia Yi felt bad for making her family so much stressed for her and consoled her brother saying," Don't worry if I ever get into trouble I will use the things that you gave me and run to you all so please don't worry about me anymore and go for your vacation, else you will be late."

"But….", started Wang Lei but was abruptly stopped by his father.

"Let her stay here and adjust to her school life, Lei. It will be much better for her. Now let's go", said father Chen stood up and hugged his daughter, and started to go outside.

Seeing father Chen go out, mother Chen stood up and followed him while dragging Wang Lei with them.

Chen Jia Yi smiled happily feeling very touched by seeing her family's love for her.
