At the burrow

It was the Christmas holidays at the burrow so everyone was happy including Bailey. Bailey wasn't a Weasley but Molly ,being the loving mother she is, offered to let her stay at the burrow for Christmas as she didn't have anywhere to go this Christmas (of course Bailey was happy to spend Christmas at the burrow.)

It was snowing outside so the Weasley twins started a snow fight, which was typical of them.

'Come On Ron!' Shouted Fred to Ron who was

the only one who hadn't joined in yet.

'Don't worry Fred, I've got this.' said Bailey with a smirk as she grabbed a handful of snow.

'RON COME QUICK!' she shouted.

Immediately Ron came running out panicked.

'What is it Bailey, what's wrong?!' He said panting and out of breath.

'Come look quick!' said Bailey with urgency. Confused, Ron stepped forward and looked into her hands when out of nowhere Bailey lifted her hands up fast flicking snow all over Ron. Everyone just stood there for a little bit, and stared at Ron.

'Alright fine...' said Ron finally picking up a ball of snow before he threw it aimlessly hitting Fred. Before seconds everyone was throwing snowballs again apart from Bailey who was watching Fred. Truth was she had always had a crush on Fred. She admired him as he effortlessly managed to look so good smiling and laughing as he realised how soaked his shirt got from the snowballs and then there was that funny feeling, the butterfly's in her stomach again...and the lump in her throat...

Once all the fun and games were over everyone went back inside soaking and freezing

'Oh my god, your all a mess!' said Molly keeping back her frustration.

'Sorry mum, we were having a snow fight' said Fred laughing a little.

'Oh it's fine just get yourself cleaned up and we'll all watch a film together with some hot chocolate.' Molly said. Everyone went upstairs to get cleaned up and made sure not to make a mess.

Once everyone was done they all met downstairs in the lounge and argued about what movie they should watch.

'EVERYBODY SHUT IT.' shouted Ginny bringing everyone to a silence. 'We should let Bailey decide since she's our guest.' She said .

'THAT'S RUBISH!' shouted the twins causing Molly to give them a sharp glare.

'I think that's a lovely idea, Bailey?' Bailey felt awkward but decided they should all watch coralline (a muggle film she'd heard about.) which she later regretted after getting nightmares from it but at the same time it was the best choice she had made in a while...she put on the movie and sat next to Fred.

Once they got half way through the movie Bailey was snuggled up to Fred  without even realising it. He was so tall compared to her which made it cozy to snuggle into him. Fred started stroking the top of Baileys head which was the moment she realised how close they were.

'Getting a bit close there, Bentlee.' (Baileys last name.) Said Fred which made Bailey blush a little

'Oh uh sorry I didn't mean to uh-'

'I'm kidding calm down Bailey.' Fred said while chuckling and brung her back to where she was before. Yup. It was official. Bailey couldn't help but fall in love with Fred.

When Bailey woke up the next day she woke up with a smile remembering last night and how they had been so close. What made it even better is that they both fell asleep together whilst watching the film and ended up sleeping on the sofa together... Bailey turned around to look at Fred. He looked adorable when he was sleeping.

'Morning sleepy.' Bailey said to Fred teasingly while gently shaking him.

Fred groaned as he got up and rubbed his eyelids. How did he manage to look so good in the morning? Even with his messy hair and bloodshot eyes.

'Morning Bentlee, guess we fell asleep. ' He replied while getting letting out a yawn and stretching.

'Guess so...' she replied trying to act calm but inside she was squealing.

Later that day Bailey was doing some homework that was set for her class over the holidays but she had a lot on her mind. She was very stressed out and decided it couldn't hurt to search up ways to relieve the stress. Nothing useful came up but then she remembered what her friend from school, Pansy, had told her. That dancing or lying in the rain was very stress revealing. Which was perfect since it was already raining.

Bailey grabbed a coat and some old shoes and went outside to try it out. At first she felt awkward and was hoping nobody in the burrow was watching her but then she slowly started to not care as she danced around in the rain freely. This really was a stress reliever

Everything was going great and she was having fun until she accidentally tripped from slipping in a puddle . She hurt her knees but when she was about to get up she saw a tall boy reaching out his hand to help her get up. She grabbed it, a little embarrassed.

'Hey Fred aha.'

'Hey Bailey, what are you doing love..?' She loved it when he would call her things like love and darling.

'Uh I'm dancing...in the rain' she replied. Fred stood there confused for a minuet trying to make sense of it but eventually just gave up and decided to dance with her.

'Seems fun...well what are you waiting for? Let's dance Bentlee' he said as he reached out his hand in a dramatic way and Bailey grabbed it as they did some sort of ballroom dancing.

They laughed together, Freds hands still around Baileys waist. Eventually the laughter died down and they just gazed into each other's eyes.

Wait a second, was he about to kiss her?

Fred leaned in getting closer and closer to Bailey. The tension was unreal and Bailey could feel her heartbeat getting faster. He was so close she could feel his breath, it was shaky and warm.

'Fred I-'

Then he kissed her.

Oh my god...

For a while they just looked at each-other waiting for someone to say something, anything. Then Fred finally spoke up...

'I'm sorry Bailey I shouldn't have-'

He was interrupted by Bailey who went in to kiss him again, she was terrified but to her delight it couldn't have gone more perfectly

Bailey decided to play it cool.

'Not bad, Weasley.' She said with a smirk with Freds arms still wrapped around her waist.

'Not to bad yourself, Bentlee.' He replied. They stared at each other smiling when suddenly...

'FRED I NEED YOUR HELP WITH SOMETHING.' shouted Molly. Oh shoot. They forget they were right outside the burrow? Had anyone seen them?

'Uh looks like mum needs me, until next time darling.' he said before bowing and laughing then proceeding to jog back inside the burrow.

Oh my god what just happened? Bailey went back inside unable to stop smiling. She was about to go to the room she was staying at until Ginny stopped her.

'Woah woah woah stop right there.' said Ginny. Baileys heart skipped a beat. Had she seen her and Fred?

'Why are you so chipper? Look at you, your practically, skipping what happened? ' said Ginny.

Bailey was relieved Ginny didn't know what she was happy about but panicked now she had to think of a lie. Fast.

'Oh um a did- I mean a found- uhhh I met a- b-' Bailey wasn't a great liar.

'You met a boy?' Said Ginny confused.

'Yes! Wait no. Uhh.' Said Bailey still struggling to think of a lie.

Ginny stared at her suspiciously for a while then shrugged and hugged her whilst saying how happy she was happy for her. Phew. Close one. Bailey didn't even know if Fred cared if people knew about the kiss? Was it even as big of a deal as she thought it was? Maybe she was overthinking, but she wasn't going to tell anyone. If he wanted to or not she didn't.

Bailey rushed upstairs jumped onto her bed and squealed as she wrapped her arms around herself. Was it crazy to think that maybe her and Fred Weasley could happen after all?

The next morning when she woke up she was still happy and she lay in bed for a good half an hour thinking about everything that had happened until she finally decided to get up. She went downstairs to get breakfast where everyone was already up and eating breakfast.

'So, Bailey, you slept in late. Something happen at all?' Said Fred innocently.

'Uhh nope can't think of anything that happened Fred.' said Bailey watching him bite back his lip to avoid laughing.

'That's a lie.' Said Ginny making Bailey remember the lie she had told Ginny the night before. Bailey quickly covered Ginny's mouth. Ginny grabbed Baileys hand and removed it from her mouth and quickly sputtered something out.

'BAILEYMETABOY!' Said Ginny.

'What?' Said Percy speaking for the rest of the family since she had said it so fast nobody understood what she said.

'Bailey met a boy!' She said making Bailey turn Bright red and suddenly everyone was asking questions about this boy which Bailey couldn't answer whilst Fred just watched and laughed.

'Met a boy did you Bentlee?' Fred said while smirking

'Yeah I did.' she replied.

'Oh leave her alone, she doesn't have to answer your questions if it's personal.' said Molly making everyone go silent and Molly whispered over to Bailey 'tell me all about him later.' and winked. Bailey laughed, awkwardly. Yeah that was enough interacting for today.

Bailey ate her food quickly and rushed upstairs after giving Fred one quick glance and him giving one back causing them both to chuckle. Well, he obviously remembered everything from last night but questions were still racing through Baileys mind. What were they? And what was going to happen next with them? Was anything ever going to happen between them again? Bailey decided she needed some rest. Yeah. Maybe that'll help calm her mind.
