Just changed the Title to something better.
I'm also thinking of adding a bit of Japanese element to it like going to an academy and there will be female soldiers which is historically not very common and only happened in rare instances.
Tho not to much as I'll try to make it reasonable, they'll be mainly staff officers, medics and at most garrison units (WW2 Germany had female guard troops and Russians had female sniper and for allies as far as I know only rebels groups had female combatants). Offensive frontline units will be made of men unless they start running out of man power or some very very very special circumstance.
—- story start—-
'It's been 5 years' Vlad thought since he had been reincarnated into this strange world.
Contrary to pop culture in his previous life rather than a medieval fantasy world, he has been reincarnated to a early modern world with technology the technology level around late 19th ~ early 20th century.
In this world he's called William Vlad Vector the only child of a middle class family living in New Caledonia the colonial capital of Oceania.
Colonial?
Yes, as Oceania colony of the Caledonian Empire, one of the major world powers in this world.
Anyway that's not the important bit, the important bit is that Vlad like a isekai world travellers also has a system. The system is called Earth exchange system, the system let's him earn points by doing missions and exchange them with anything on Earth!
It has wide range of items ranging from daily necessities such as toilet paper to the ultra-expensive such as the Iowa class Battleship or even the Zumwalt class destroyer one of the most expensive ship ever built!
When he first discovered the system Vlad was naturally super excited but upon looking at the price tag and comparing to the mission screen Vlad immediately got depressed.
Fortunately as someone who plays a lot of games Vlad is very certain that there must be console command. (Ever played GTA? Ever made Tanks and weapons suddenly appear out of nowhere? Or even 4x game making resources suddenly appear out of thin air?)
And after some tinkering he finally manages to make the console command screen appear, it didn't take long for him to give himself unlimited amounts of points, and with a few taps of a holographic keyboard his point count suddenly went of the chart and is soon replaced with an infinity symbol.
Unfortunately while he finally has full access to everything, but obviously he can't just suddenly take out a Boeing 747 in the middle of city.
That would be ridiculous and stupid, so he naturally reframe himself from doing such a stupid thing.
It is in his best interest to keep his abilities a secret and not wantonly flaunt it around, doing so would only invite people's attention and scheming.
Just think of saint Joan of arc, random village girl claiming to be a messenger of god and despite bringing victories to France (who were just terrible at war and were losing terribly) she was still sold out by her own people.
Or how about the Julius Caesar who won wars and made great aqueducts to enrich the Roman people, the people loved him but unfortunately his rise to prominence naturally affected the influence of those in power and was subsequently assassinated.
Then there's Alexander the Great. He is a military genius that single handily forged one of the largest empires in history and it is rumoured that he was the son of a god. He was poisoned by his own men who was tired of all his wars, despite winning them all. Suffice to say once he fell his empire was divided amongst his generals.
It is said that we should learn from history so that we don't repeat the same mistake. If an Emperor (all titles Julius Ceasar held were eventually combined to make the emperor title), a saint and a demigod fell due to being simply too out standing, needless to say one should learn to be humble and not stand out too much.
That is not to say he should just live a normal life, it's just that.... YOU DON'T start SLAUGHTERING and PROVOKING powerful individuals as soon as you get the cheat!
Like if he gets bullied he won't just take out a minigun and start going "SAY HELLO TO MY LITTLE FRIEND!" Brrrrrrrrrrr
Like if you want revenge it must be proportional and MUST be done inconspicuously, all it takes is a little patience and brain power and everything will be smooth sailing. (Minor criticism at the generic Chinese novels)
Anyway Vlad Naturally didn't do anything to crazy with his system and only bought minor stuff like candies, carbonated drinks, simple stationery things that won't draw to much attention.
Naturally any food he bring would be consumed immediately in a secret locations (attic or basement of the house) and the remains must disposed off cleanly and quietly.
The first two is easy enough to do but the problem lies on the disposing part.
Fortunately it didn't take long for his to figure out he can just flush candy wraps in the toilet.
As for soda cans?
At first Vlad tried to flattening it and hiding it in the corner of the attic but soon enough it wasn't enough as over time the amount of spent soda cans eventually starts to mount up, he eventually decided to just dig a hole in the yard and bury them there.
Thinking about it Vlad decided to switch to soda bottles instead as they're much easier to deal with. All he needs to do is rip out the plastic wrap and the bottle itself can be cut to tiny little pieces, then these tiny plastic fragments can easily disposed off by the trash can. (1875 Garbage collection became an official system in England in our world)
Vlad is very hesitant of throwing things in the trash can as it can be discovered by his parents or by the person collecting the trash, not to mention Vlad is highly suspicious that there would be someone who would sift through the trash looking for anything valuable.
Fortunately with the plastic bottle being grinded to find peaces that Vlad is very confident that it wouldn't raised any attention, tho it's still very cumbersome to deal with it every time.
Anyway besides that nothing much noteworthy happened, he is now 5 years old.
Vlad is at his front yard playing with a magnifying glass killing some bugs.
Unfortunately as he is enjoying his time, his mother came to deliver a breaking news.
"Oh Willy, we have great news" she said
Willy?
Yes, his first name is called William although he very much prefer his middle name Vlad, sounds very cool and intimidating.
Like who wouldn't want a Vampire name?
"What is it mom?" Vlad replies as he runs over to her.
"guess what Willy? starting tomorrow you'll be going to school" she replies happily excited that her child is getting an education.
"School?" Vlad said blankly as the day has finally come.
Vlad knows the Caledonian Empire has a system which demand mandatory education training to all Caledonian citizens from a young age.
The Caledonian Empire is always in dire need of soldiers to garrison and quell rebellions in the entire Bharata subcontinent.
A few centuries ago after the Han colony successfully orchestrated a massive rebellion overthrowing their Caledonian overlords, the Empire undergone a massive wave of heavy handed reforms to prevent such a thing from happening again.
One of the reforms is the prevention of non-Caledonian (now primarily the Bharatans) citizens from taking office and joining the military, instead they're relegated to low skilled works such as farming, mining and working at the factories.
They're prevented from learning knowledge outside of their field and each field and province are segregated to prevent the organisation of nation wide rebellions from happening.
Suffice to say such a heavy handed method naturally would require a massive amount of military presence in the area, which is why the females are also recruited into the military and mandatory education plan was initiated.
The theory behind the mandatory educational plan is partly that "even the lowest skilled Caledonian should at least be competent enough to serve as a garrison unit" and so that's how the 12 years of mandatory education is born.
Even though the education system are slightly tilted towards the military after 12 years of mandatory education citizens are free to choose the their own profession (except for low skilled professions which will be handled by the "non-citizens"). (Think of the Caledonian Empire in some aspects similar to the ancient spartan system where Helots did the farming while the Spartans did all the military. Another point about the Spartans is that their woman had the most freedom in the ancient era which fit quite nicely with the Caledonian Empire)
