The Sage

This story is about a boy-genius, whose name is Iarchas.

Iarchas was told that he was a prodigy and a genius.

The people would say that he would become the next Einstein, Newton, or Kepler.

Iarchas accepted his fate, but that would not mean that there would not be any adversity.

For with any natural skill, there are people who would envy such gifts.

Iarchas was bullied as a kid. He was beaten as a teenager, and belittled by his teachers as an adult.

Iarchas may have had the brain, but he lacked the brawn.

He could not defend himself. And it was that physical weakness which angered him.

The Good Doctor sensed that delicious anger, which is why he sought Iarchas out.

" I can grant you power " said Doctor Nork; " the power to take revenge "

Iarchas accepted.

Iarchas received the power of telekinesis, and other similar abilities.

But, to Nork's surprise, Iarchas had decided to fight on the side of good.

Despite everything. Despite all the hate, all the beatings, and all the insults.

Iarchas had decided to become a hero.

Iarchas had always dreamt of being a hero. A dream which he kept close to his heart.

Enraged, Doctor Nork was now the one who sought revenge.

The Good Doctor decided to give power to one of Iarchas' old bullies.

When the bully became a villain, he went by the name of The Hermit.

And Iarchas became The Sage.

Both men had telekinetic powers, and their battle took place within the Kalmar Union.

The Hermit was at a disadvantage. For he had always relied on brute strength, and not so much on brainpower.

The Sage, however, was one with his mind.

Sufficient to say, Iarchas was victorious.

The Hermit was locked away, at a place where his powers could not be activated.

Iarchas used his powers to build a small planet for himself.

It now seemed like Theia had two moons.

The Sage would call his planet Brainstorm.

Iarchas was the core of the planet.

He only wished for a quiet place to study, for he filled the planet with books of all kinds.

He also desired a place to conduct research. In order to answer the questions of creation.

But, remember. Iarchas was also a hero. And whenever the occasion called for it. He would leave his planet, and use his thoughts - given form - so that lives may be saved.
