The Lord Realm Cultivator the White Cloud Dynasty had send had once consumed a heavenly potion that gives him 50% more power than one should normally have at a given Realm. And slowly but surely, he was overwhelming the Territory's Lord.

Lei reached the Territory's Central Region, both Lords were there, and their Domains gave away so much Pressure thousands of meters deep cracks had formed in the Earth. He grasped his Sword and shot directly to the Intruder.

He saw it and instantly his Domain Changed Shapes and began repulsing Lei with such a force Lei was catapulted away!

Lei tried again and again, but the White Cloud Dynasty's Cultivator was too Strong! He was near the peak of the Lord Realm and the Cultivator knew how exactly he had to manipulate his Domain to archive a given effect!

Golden Qi spread out from Lei and assaulted the Domain, slowly it was compressed. The Territory's Lord was already exhausted and began resting now the Lei was here. Seeing that even his Qi could not penetrate the Cultivators strong Defense, Lei got an Idea and recalled all of his Qi. In a spiraling Storm it was all absorbed by his Sword and a golden Glimmer began radiating away from it!

An incredibly Sharp Sword Aura spread all across the Territory and every Sword began vibrating. Once again Lei shot towards the Cultivator and the Domain began repelling him. At that moment Lei swung his Sword! The Air was set on fire as it swung! Then it collided with the Domain!

*CRACK*

It seemed like Space shattered as the Domain broke apart! Like throwing a Stone at a wall of Glass, shards of the Domain flew all around Reflecting Light in strange ways until dispersing!

Shock filled the Cultivators Face! His Domain was broken! He tried to reform it, but it was too late! Lei's Sword pierced the Cultivators body, straight through his heart and Soul!

The Soul that was normally so hard to interact with was destroyed by the Sword! There were not even remains that went to the heavens!

His lifeless body felt out of the Sky and hit the Ground. Blood flew out of the gaping hole in his chest, soon a small, red, pond had formed. The Ground around the Lords Corpse began changing and slowly red flowers grew. All Cultivators watched with open eyes how the Flowers grew and grew, soon they reached dozens of meters in height. Then the growth stopped, and the flowers began withering away, turning into darker and darker shards of red. Slowly at first, parts of the flower broke of and dispersed in the Air, until eight minutes later not a single speck of dust was left.

A Lord had died. What they had watched was how the Corpse's now Ownerless Qi returned to its root, the Earth.

Shi Changmao liked experimenting with the Soul, it was so interesting! His experimentation suppressed the thoughts he had on the past events.

What he was currently doing was switching the body of Souls, and he had found out something interesting, if he put an Animal's Soul into a baby of another, then this infant would grow to resemble certain parts of the Original Body! Of Corse he created the babies, who was he to steal a Baby and remove its Soul?

Currently he was preparing multiple long-term experiments to see what features of the Original Soul's Body would appear and if it would always be the same. Some of the experiments were putting a Fire Frogs Soul into a Flying Cow or a Green Rabbits Soul into a Blue Hamster. He also put a Cats Soul into a Human; he was quite Curios how that would look like.

After doing all this, he created a few Spatial Rings, each for one Combination. Then he put some of the Animals the Souls now possess into them. As for the human babies, he gave them to the inhabitants of the fourth Prince's Ring, each with their own Spirit Stone. He was sure they would take care of them. Changmao also took this opportunity to introduce some other Animals like birds and such to the Ring.

Seeing everything completed he rested for a week. Just enjoying his life.

Changmao had developed the habit to express his thoughts with small everchanging objects created subconsciously with his Qi. Sometimes he would look at them and let his thoughts drift away, changing them again. It was mesmerizing, but it also helped him get new ideas.

'That… why didn't I think of that before!'

He instantly expanded his Domain and found tens of thousands of bird nests, each with eggs. His Domain focused on each Egg and began searching for a Soul. Most of the Eggs that would hatch soon had Souls, while most of the newly laid ones had none!

'Where does the Soul come from?'

Over the next month Changmao observed all of the nests and the developments of the eggs. It seemed like the Souls spontaneously appeared! From one moment to another, the blobs that were Souls filled the Eggs!

He continued his observation and then, two months later, he saw something! He saw how an egg got its Soul! A few moments before the blob appeared something shot upwards from the Earth, it was miniscule. Its size less than a grain of sand. The moment it touched the egg, the blob appeared. If it was not for chance, he would not have noticed it!

When he focused on the Area below each egg, he found multiple of those little blobs he called Soul Seeds, each came from the Earth. Changmao knew what he would spend the next few months on, he wanted to catch one of those Soul Seeds before it gained a body! Maybe studying those would give him hints to the true Origin of the Soul!
