Sakata Kintoki
His name is Sakata Kintoki (坂 田 金 時), known by his famous childhood name, Kintarou (金太郎, Kintarō), whose popularity in Japan is equivalent to that of Momotaro. He is one of the Four Heavenly Kings, under Minamoto no Yorimitsu.
There are many legends about him, but there are no historical records that support them. He is the son of Raijin the Red Dragon, and his mother is a cannibal mountain witch who lives on Mount Ashigara (足 柄 山, Ashigara-yama). Kintoki grew up with the power of monsters, fighting and killing wild beasts in the mountains. Finally, his mother, who was an ogre, was defeated by Usui Sadamitsu, but Kintoki was brought to Minamoto no Yorimitsu, taught how to live as a human, and became her subordinate. He participated in many demon hunts as one of Yorimitsu's Four Heavenly Kings. He is famous for the story of the battle against Shuten-douji in Ooe-yama, where he disguised himself as a mountain priest, made Shuten-douji drink god-given sake, and knocked her down.
