6-5 Questioning (3)

Date: September 9-10

Place: Interrogation Room

[Cedrick]

She looks occupied. I bet she's busy thinking or worrying about how she'll pull this off.

[Rei]

They said that they gave him pills that'll have a high probability of confessing everything to them but it was strange. It's because all they could get out of him was his name, the confession that he did those things to me on purpose, and the high probability that there might be a bigger organization behind everything he's done. The pills also explained why there was not even a single hint of violence displayed in his body. I bet it was the Second Lieutenant General; Tieffle's idea before she passed it to Gynne then handed it to me.

Did they think that this person was mine to deal with or were they too burdened when they knew that something big is the cause of this? At least those were the only logical explanations that I could think of.

"I sent a more appropriate chair for this job. Please do use that instead," my spines shivered when I heard that familiar tone of voice. It belonged to the Supreme Commander's and as he said through the speakers, a creaky wooden chair made its way to us from the same door where we came in. The soldier who brought it seems familiar, maybe I saw his face often around the place. Anyway, the wooden chair has leather straps for both the hands and feet. It is certainly perfect so there'll be no escape and limited movements.

"I extend my greatest gratitude," I faced where the cameras are, and like bowing to a King, I smiled happily.

"Give me a good show," he replied. What is this situation?...

[Cedrick]

"Of course," Rei answered back, looking like a psychopath as she smiles, facing the old man while holding the dagger near her lips. I saw the old man flinch after watching her expression. I know that this is her first time doing this so I'm not sure if she'll do a great job digging on him. For all I could know, we could be here until tomorrow...

So just in case, I studied and asked around about some techniques or ideas they might know or have heard of for times like this. And I did all of those things without her knowing because she was lying unconscious on the clinic's bed. Butー

"Do you want me to do it first?" I whispered to her, walking inside an underground full of howling people, desperate to be freed. "I wouldn't want to let you do the dirty work," I used as an excuse because she might be shy to admit such things when I noticed she didn't answer my question earlier.

"No, it's fine. I'll do everything so please do me a favor," I nodded when I noticed she was waiting for an answer. "Just watch over me and stop me if I might go overboard," she answered as if she can already guess the outcome.

Now, I know that she wasn't joking around and that there was a reason for that confident smile of hers. I'm even scared of thinking that someday it might be me sitting on that wooden chair. Someoneーget me out of here.

[Rei]

"You heard the boss or do you want me to force your way over there?" I say, pointing to the wooden chair with my dagger threatening him.

"No!" He shouts, spitting but it didn't even get anywhere near me. "You can't force anything out of me," he shoves my dagger away from him with this handcuffed hands as he walks towards the wooden chair. "You hear me?" He sat. "Never," he shouts, tying himself up from his feet to his left hand and looking at me as if he was seeking help for someone to tie his right hand for him. I almost laughed out loud when I tied it up for him. "Never!" He shouts one more time when I took a step back. I glanced at the one-way mirror above, where Supreme Commander and Gynne were, and behind me, where Cedrick was, we were all confused but amused at the same time.

"Are you alright with the sight of blood?" I asked Cedrick as I put some gloves on, walking to the table full of tools that'll help me intimidate him enough to confess.

"What an ironic question," he replied raising an eyebrow as he grins and takes a sit on the chair where the old man was sitting earlier.

Then the torturing begins.

[Cedrick]

"Mr. Robert, was it?" I was surprised that she knew his name. When did she even have a chance to find that out? "Or do you want me to call you gramps?" She asked as if she didn't give any importance to his name.

[Rei]

I randomly say anything that I expect no response of. "You do know the word torture, right?" I continued talking to myself. "You knowーthe thing they do on moviesー" I was cut off when he suddenly answered.

"Of course, I know what it means," he scoffed proudly. "It's a word that 'YOU' of all people can't do to an old man," he's trying to provoke me, isn't he?

"Great" I clasped my hands together. "Hold on to that thought as long as possible," I answered back to his provocation. "I'll give you a 'CHOICE', a word that not many bad guys dare to have especially at a time like this," I say, trying to act as nicely as possible. I can tell that he's terrified by the way he shivers and sweats at every movement I make. "Would you like to be electrified?" I showed him an electric taser that works perfectly fine where he can see the electricity going back and forth to the two points of the metal. He flinched. "Burned?" I lit a fire at the end on an arrow, loaded the bow with it, and shot it behind him where I'm sure that he felt the heat of it passing through his skin before it hits the wall.

[Cedrick]

To be completely honest, I must admit that I'm surprised at how long he endured those threatening and intimidating acts. For an old man to stay this silent even when he's just a pawn, I admire how loyal he is.

[Rei]

"Chopped?" I threw a sharp dagger that I picked up from another table and was able to lightly scratch him on his right arm. Blood started to peak and drip from it but I still can't hear any voice or sound from him and he's evenーsmiling. He must be trying so hard to endure the pain and hold his scream back. He is doing a fine job of not confessing anything although, I don't plan on showing him any sympathy.

"I'll let you choose from the three. But don't worry, who knows, I might come up with something more exciting, gruesome, or painful method later. That is if you'll be stubborn," walking towards him with an intent to not stop until he confesses.
