The monstrous, eldritch lifeform started to move. His heart wanted revenge and he had subsequently transformed into collapsing society.
He could not stay here. For one, this world did not welcome his kind and his previous captors would return soon. His transformation took hours and it is possible for anyone to enter at any moment.
Stretching his grasping claws, he took out the door before returning it to its original place. However, he could not just leave like that. He would give a surprise to the residents here.
Retched noises gathered inside his neck, vocal cords began to tremble as he prepared to puke.
"Pkreeee...."
Green-red vomit sprayed on the floor. It squirmed and rotated clockwise until it spread into multiple parts, each infiltrating a door.
"Hehehe... Indeed a surprise." The man happily thought and went away.
Meanwhile, the mucous liquid crawled towards the designated target and stealthily infiltrated into one's ears.

The night, near-dawn break, provided an excellent cover for the eldritch man to move around. People did not wake up that early and could not see much even if they did.
The man moved along the shadows and found out an abandoned factory on the road. He knew this place, it was a factory established decades ago but had gone in disrepair for many years now. Society moved on and the company managing the factory could not adapt to newer trends and declared bankruptcy. The factory was left without an owner and after a few years, it had become the den of vagrants. But even then, it had become so dirty that the homeless found another place to call home.
It was infested with grime, dust, and many other rodents, one could probably get sick just by breathing the air. There had been small petitions to destroy the building but the city had not announced any plans on razing it. If so, there is at least half a year before the factory is razed!
This was enough time to prepare for his next plans.
The man slithered in the factory and established his base here. Here, he recovered the unsalvageable mess left by the previous occupants, meaning the garbage that even scavengers did not fancy and used to build his altar.
"Chaos..."
The monstrous man knew that his power is limited. No matter how much he perceived in his enlightenment, the human body is only so capable. As such, he could only rely on the altar to grant him more power.
"Almighty Great Old One..."
Slitting his veins, from his arm to his head, the frantic man began to chant, singing the great name of the Great Old One.
"AaaAAhaHaahaahha!!!" Shrieking, he could feel the Great Old One's presence. It overwhelmed him, like an ant looking at a giant so tall that he reached the clouds. Finally, the dust settled and a giant, small in comparison in front of the Great Old One, came over.
"Speak, servant of the Old One. What is your wish?" The giant presence spoke in a hissy tongue, but as a man remodeled by truth, he could understand the tongue that mortals do not. He could barely be considered a servant of an Old One, barely surpassing the mortal flesh, but he is a servant nonetheless.
"O great One, I desire power. Power to worship the great Lord. I am but newly awakened but do not have the strength to contribute to the rituals."
"Your wish shall be granted." The serpent man's eyes flashed red and thousands of snakes engulfed him. He could feel the dry and moist scaly skin rubbing, scraping, and tearing his flesh.
When darkness faded, the man opened his eyes and felt a strange power coursing in his veins. His body regained vigor and some strange and powerful spells appeared in his consciousness. Although it was newly-implanted, it felt that he had practised for more than a decade and understood some intricacies of this newfound power.
The serpent man's eyes seemed to glint, as though he appreciated this talent. "Although you can barely be considered a servant of the Old, you are outside of the seal and thus, can have more of an impact on this world. Do good and We will bless you until you can stand the pressure of being around the Lord..."
With that said, the black mist enveloped the serpent-man and promptly disappeared.
