Djinn of Winter

Gullveig, the Djinn of Winter.

She is as beautiful as she is cunning.

Gullveig has beauty, brain, and brawn.

She prefers to wear a dress made of Ice XIX.

Gullveig is very ambitious, which is why; many keep her at a distance.

Gullveig knew what was required to succeed - a son.

She knew that the Jinn Empress would never let her get near the Jinn Emperor.

So she decided on the next best thing - The Djinn of Fire and the Underworld.

" Al-Muharriq? " said Cailleach, Gullveig's mother.

" His seed will do, " said Gullveig with her smile, which has brought many to their knees.

It was on a day, where Oleander was out; for a fierce winter storm was causing pain to her garden.

Al-Muharriq was sitting on his throne, alone.

That was when he noticed someone approaching.

Thinking that it was his wife, he smiled and welcomed her back.

That was when he noticed the snowy skin, the platinum hair, and the icy eyes.

" Gullveig… " uttered Al-Muharriq, but it was already too late; for he was now under Gullveig's spell.

Al-Muharriq felt bound to his throne, as Gullveig sat on his lap.

He could not move, as Gullveig ran her hands down his chest.

Lower, and lower, till they reached the sweet spot.

Al-Muharriq was Gullveig's puppet now, and she would have her puppet fulfill his intended role.

As Oleander was making her way back to the underworld, she noticed Gullveig walking out from the underworld.

Oleander felt fear fill her chest, as she knew that something had happened.

She ran to the throne room, and that was when the fear was replaced with sadness and anger.

Al-Muharriq was sitting on his throne, his hand holding his forehead, and the other resting on his leg.

Oleander knew immediately what had happened.

" Are you that weak! " exclaimed Oleander through her gritted teeth.

Al-Muharriq looked at Oleander through his fingers, he then hid his face.

" Maalik! " exclaimed Oleander, as she wished to know where the Zabaniyah were.

All was quiet. That was when Oleander noticed some icy-mist from underneath one of the doors.

Oleander slammed the door open, and that was when she saw that Maalik and the Zabaniyah were all covered in ice.

" Was the mission successful? " asked a Vittra.

" Very successful, " said Gullveig, as she held a hand over her stomach.

Gullveig would later give both to two sons - Erik and Erridupizir.

Like Boromir and Faramir, one son would bring honor, while the other(in the parent's eyes) would only bring disappointment.

Erik would bring honor, while Erridupizir only seemed to be a disappointment.

And why was that?

Erridupizir had a kind heart, he only wanted to explore and create. While Erik only sought destruction and ruin.

Erridupizir was disowned by Gullveig, while Erik became Gullveig's pride and joy.

Erik would later be known as; Erik the Red, for he had red skin with a white cross on his chest - it kind of looked like the Danish Flag.

Once Erik was an adult, Gullveig deemed that he was ready; ready to take his father's throne - by force.

The Fimbulwinter had come.
