Boy and Bahkauv

Njord had arrived within Aachen.

Rumor was swirling about: that a great beast was terrorizing the establishment.

Njord could simply not let this stand, as Aachen made his favorite beer.

Rupert of the Rhine entered a tavern.

Father Rhine sat down and ordered a beer.

Njord took his time with the beer.

He smelled it.

Sized it up.

He sip it.

And then drank it.

Njord let out that satisfying " Ah. "

He then ordered another one.

Boy pricked up his ears.

Njord could see that Boy's hairs were all on edge.

" The beast. "

Boy looked at Njord.

With a nod, Boy ran into the thick-foggy-night.

Boy was sniffing about, trying to catch Bahkauv's scent.

The scent seemed to be mixed up with something else entirely.

A roar went about the city.

The echoing made it difficult for Boy to pinpoint it, but it did clear the streets of people.

Boy had to come up with a plan: on how to track down the Bahkauv.

She then had an idea.

Bahkauv crawled out of the sewer.

He looked about to see if there were any people left, or any individual at all.

There wasn't, his roar had done the job.

But unbenounced the Bahkauv; Boy was watching from the nearby tree; having used the Tarnhelmet to transform into a bird.

Boy watched the Bahkauv closely, curious to see what the beast would do next.

Why would it scare away the people?

Did it not feed off the people?

Was it misunderstood?

Boy's doubts were quickly dispelled, as the Bahkauv walked up to the nearest graveyard, where it proceeded to eat several corpses.

Not as problematic as eating someone still alive… but it was problematic nonetheless.

The dead deserved to rest.

They did not deserve to rest within the belly of this beast.

After having had its fill; the Bahkauv re-entered its deen within the sewers.

Boy followed suit.

The Bahkauv ignored the flapping of wings.

But he clearly paid attention when the flapping was replaced with trodding.

Boy had transformed back into a poodle.

Bahkauv simply looked back at the dog before him.

Boy was quiet.

The silence was quickly replaced with sounds of crackling.

Boy was using the Tarnhelmet to transform again.

This time… into a dragon.

Bahkauv looked on in absolute horror, as Dragon-Boy opened her mouth; and out came a wave of flames.

There was a well near the tavern Njord was sitting in.

The people gathered around the well, as it shook, while a strange sound was humming from it.

A pillar of fire then burst forth from within the well;

and all Njord could say was:

" Good girl. "
