The Men that keep even Lovecraft Awake at Night

Holmes, Watson and Moriarty, all three still find themselves in the land of the free.

But, Watson and Moriarty have noticed something strange.

A few hours ago, Bell received a call for help from the NYPD.

Holmes(of course) was willing to help, he got the file, and that was when his face lost all blood.

Without a word.

Bell rushed out of the Brownstone, where he, Watson and Moriarty were living.

The two men ran after their friend, who has as of yet, answered any of their questions.

" Sherlock, for heaven's sake! Answer us " said Watson.

" Sir… what is the matter? " said Moriarty, worried.

" I am sorry, but I have no time for questions, I have to finish this case as fast as possible " exclaimed Bell/Holmes, as he almost ran ahead.

" I see that you leave me no choice " said Watson, as he now used his secret weapon;

" Norbury "

Holmes/Bell immediately stopped in his tracks, while Moriarty had no idea as to what just happened.

Bell/Holmes now looked more calm and collective, he was now back in control of his emotions.

" I am infinitely obliged to you, Watson… " said Holmes/Bell.

" No Shit Sherlock "

" Fuck you Watson "

Both men now let out a laugh, while Moriarty still felt that he was left in the dark, but he too laughed along.

" Now, do you mind telling us; what got you so ruled up " said Watson.

Bell/Holmes took a deep breath, he continued to walk, and then said;

" Tell me, Moriarty, do you remember the Macdonald Triad? " said Holmes/Bell.

" Of course, Sir, it was the first thing you taught me. The Triad talks about a way to predict someone becoming a murder, it includes; animal cruelty, obsession with fire-setting and, oddly enough- persistent bedwetting past a certain age, and those are just some of the few factors " said Moriarty.

" Well said, my boy. The Triad has many fine factors, in my opinion, it lacks two; psychological breakdown and, as the quote goes; Some men just want to watch the world burn. The former helps us understand that some killers have been broken down mentally and psychologically by their parents, and the latter, well, some people just love the pain, suffering and killing of others " said Bell/Holmes, but Watson and Moriarty were still confused, they then remembered what Holmes/Bell always told them.

" I am assuming that what you just said has a connection with the case you have accepted, and by the look of the way you are almost running, it must be a matter of life and death " said Watson.

Holmes had a smile on his face, but it quickly vanished as it was back to business.

It was during the night, when Bell, Watson and Moriarty all three walked into a dark-alley.

" Sir, are we here to meet one of you allies? " said Moriarty.

" What makes you say that? " asked Holmes.

" Because; all your allies have a habit of being dramatic "

Bell smiled as he said;

" Well, this ally works best in the dark "

Watson and Moriarty both let out a scream of fear, for they both saw a figure coming out of the abyss.

" Greetings, Spring-Heeled Jack " said Holmes.

" I told you to call me; Flitterman " said the individual who looked a lot like a certain hero.

Moriarty and Watson were speechless, but Bell continued;

" Have you found them? "

" We have, the Fox(Guy Fawkes) was able to locate the murders, and he even managed to save a little girl by the name of Grace Budd " said Flitterman, as Holmes had a look of relief, but the caped hero did not.

" What is it? " asked the Detective-Doctor in horror.

Flitterman paused for a moment.

" I know that you wish to see the scene of the crime, but I highly recommend that you do not " said Flitterman with concern and compassion, but he quickly noticed that his words had no effect on Bell, nor on that of Watson and Moriarty.

" Very well, " said the hero.

After a while, the four men arrived at a certain house in Plainfield, Wisconsin.

" I feel like I should warn you all, this was a team-up between; the Plainfield Ghoul, the Grey man and Pogo the Clown, and the amount of death, violated bodies and horror in that house, was enough to make even me puke… " said Flitterman, but Holmes, Watson and Moriarty all three still walked up to the house, the closer they got, the more they could smell the rotting bodies.

Bell opened the door, and Moriarty immediately threw up.

Even Watson, with his medical background, could not hold his dinner in, and those who know the history of these three men, will forgive me for not wanting to describe the scene in words.

Holmes still looked calm, and simply asked;

" Where are the three men? "

" I killed them, " said Flitterman, without hesitation.

" Did you torture them? " asked Bell, but Flitterman remained quiet.

Many, from the police, medics and even firefighters were called to assist with the cleanup of the wicked house of Plainfield, Wisconsin, many also later retired, and some even died from the amount of horror they saw.

" Thank you for your help, " said Holmes.

" The day may be yours, Mr Holmes, leave the night to me " said Flitterman, as he vanished in the dark.

Holmes now made a quick trip home.

" Joseph? " said Irene, surprised, for she was not expecting him.

" Where are the kids? " said Bell with the last of his strength.

" I just put them to bed- " as Irene had finished her sentence, Holmes embraced her.

" Sherlock… what is wrong? " said she, as she could feel his entire body shaking, she now heard him cry.

" I see " said she, as she was comforting her husband.

" Let it all out, it is okay, let it all go " said she with a smile, as she held him close.
