Sherlock Holmes' first ever known adventure.
I would first like to say; that I highly recommend that you guys check out; The Ardlamont Mystery narrated by Mark John Maguire- his Youtube Channel is; They Got Away With Murder.
I could never dream of being able to do justice to his brilliant performance.
So here is the trial, a very short version of the story, with my own little touch to it.
Enjoy.
" Kindly state your full name " said the judge.
" Dr Joseph Sherlock Holmes Bell "
The trial of Cecil Hambrough was now afoot.
Bell, along with two other doctors, were brought to the trial to testify.
They all commented on how Cecil Hambrough's death could not have been an accident, and that it was in fact Alfred John Monson who had killed young Cecil, so that he could collect the insurance money.
The claim was that, while Alfred, Cecil, and another person, were out hunting, that was when Cecil had accidently shot himself, with Alfred's gun.
Holmes commented on Cecil's wound.
" The wound could not have been self-inflicted. The shot had to have been fired from a distance of between; six feet and nine feet " said Dr Bell.
The trial went back and forth for a bit, and some brilliant speeches were made by Monson's advocate; John Comrie Thomson, which resulted in Monson getting a verdict of; " Not Proven "
" A kind bullshit your honor, not a harsh one, but a kind one, " said Holmes.
" I beg your audacity, Mr Holmes " said the judge with some fire in his eyes.
The trial was now over, and thus has the story of Dr Joseph Sherlock Holmes Bell's first adventure been told.
