"Jack?" (Emma)
Mars turned around. His face soft and tired. Frowning. Looking off, not caring. He turned back to Frankenstein.
"Paul give up. This fight will end with your death. And I don't want that." (Mars)
Frankenstein pointed at Emma.
"I won't stop until you join me. Until all of Jack's friends are dead." (Frankenstein)
"Jack, what is happening? Is that an enemy?" (Emma)
He turned around once again. His face sad and lonely. Lost in his past.
"Emma. It is all going to be ok." (Mars)
She stepped back. Confused by Jack's face, by his voice.
"Wha... Jack... You don't... You don't sound like Jack...?" (Emma)
"It is all going to be ok." (Mars)
He crossed his fingers into circles. One over the other. Pointed at Frankenstein.
Frankenstein crossed his fingers into a chain. He pointed it at Emma.
"Now or never. Now or never." (Frankenstein)
"I won't let you ruin Jack's life." (Mars)
They kept staring. Ready for the other one to strike first. Emma looked over at Red and Tim. She looked up at Jack. His face different, his posture different, he felt more mature, more... Lost...
She slowly dragged Red and the other Sorcerer away from the fight.
"Any time now Mars?" (Frankenstein)
He closed his eyes.
"Life and death. Monster and Human. Nature and destruction. Sad and happy." (Mars)
He stepped forward. Every waking step.
Frankenstein felt the momentum. The magic, the power. He felt his world spinning, like yin and yang, he felt both sides of himself tearing apart.
But he also felt nothing. The sensation. He had trained his whole life, every waking moment, all for this encounter, for this day.
He extended his hand.
"Mutation Division!" (Frankenstein)
Mars jumped in front of the attack, blocking it from hitting Emma.
He fell back, his soul coming apart as well. He felt his body quake.
"Yang!" (Mars)
He placed his left hand on his chest, absorbing Frankenstein's powerful magic.
"Losser. Just let my magic do its work. Stop saving people." (Frankenstein)
"How can you use that? That magic... It's too strong for you. You'll..." (Mars)
"Die..." (Frankenstein)
Mars looked off into the distance. As a figure slowly descended from the sky.
Frankenstein looked at his palm.
"My whole body. I am no longer human anymore. I no longer feel pain. I no longer feel remorse or death or any good feelings whatsoever. All that is left in me is... Anger..." (Frankenstein)
"Anger..." (Mars)
"It's all fake Mars, this whole act. All to get her back. So that I can feel again." (Frankenstein)
"What happened to you..." (Mars)
Mars pointed his hands outward. So did Frankenstein. They stared at each other.
"You happened to me. But that pain was long gone... Or so I thought." (Frankenstein)
"Do you want to die?" (Mars)
"Death... It's crossed my mind. But it's not as tempting as her." (Frankenstein)
"I see..." (Mars)
The two ready to kill each other. Ready to end this fight. In one attack. One...
"Oi oi oi!" (Thomas Thimble)
They both looked up simultaneously. A man slowly descended from the heavens. His body glittering in the night light. His pants shined silver, with golden boots strung up to his knees. He wore his white-suited uniform around his neck like a cape as he slowly descended onto the scene.
He landed next to Emma and the unconscious Red.
"Captain Thomas! Thank god! There's something wrong with Jack!" (Emma)
"Jack...?" (Thomas)
He looked at the sad-looking man in the dusted tuxedo.
"And the other one. At first, I didn't recognize him, but I'm sure of it now! I saw his face earlier... It's... Uhmm... The... The Purple Masked Rogue Sorcerer! Frankenstein!" (Emma)
Thomas smirked.
"Oh... Frankenstein..." (Thomas)
He looked down at the exhausted Red. He looked at the man opposite of Mars, the man with the stitched face, Frankenstein.
"Please Captain. Can you save Jack. He seems different. He's not like his usual self. I think Frankenstein did something to him, but I don't know what!" (Emma)
"Emma. Your name is Emma, correct?" (Thomas)
"Ummm... Yes!" (Emma)
"Emma, take Red and this other one to safety. I'll deal with these two." (Thomas)
Emma slowly pulled up Red and Tim as he leaned over throwing up his insides. They walked away from the scene.
Thomas turned to the two fighting Sorcerers.
"Ok, now to deal with you two..." (Thomas)
He stepped forward into a pouncing stance. He held out his two gigantic fists. His whole body like a lion in its natural habitat.
"Uhhgg... I'm talking with a friend here. Can you be quiet." (Frankenstein)
He pointed his crossed fingers at him.
"Paul don't, he has nothing to do with this." (Mars)
Thomas lunged forward. His two fists extended out. He jumped toward Frankenstein.
"Mutation Subtraction!" (Frankenstein)
Thomas suddenly felt his body control. He felt his legs turn to wobbly pieces of flesh, falling forward, sliding across the glassy ground, stopping right next to Mars. He felt his body crumle in on itself. He felt his arms, his limbs, collapsing like all his bones turned to jello.
"Ahhhhh!"
He screamed out in pain-
It stopped.
"Huh? What just..." (Thomas)
He looked at his hands and limbs. They were completely fine.
"My..." (Thomas)
He looked up at Jack. His eyes black and white, with his left hand hovering over his body.
"Paul, I told you not to do that. Innocents shouldn't get dragged into this fight." (Mars)
"Your no fun Mars. What's a story without some casualties, you have to make the villain look evil." (Frankenstein)
Mars was fully fed up with Frankensteins bullshit.
"You do not understand Paul, her prophecy must be completed. All these lives, we can not interfere, we are outside of this prophecy. If we ruin her plan, then it will all fall flat and this world will not be saved. Only when the time is right can we interfere, but now... What you are doing... Following her prophecy, using it to get what you want, to get her back. I can not accept that!" (Mars)
Frankenstein looked off pissed. His singular emotion of rage kicking in.
Thomas looked up confused.
"What... Uhh... How did I... My body... You..." (Thomas)
He looked stunned and bewildered by the events he had just witnessed. He thought that he was a goner, that he was going to die, morphed and changed, turned into some sort of a monster.
"You're really pissing me off Mars, your magic... Your ideology... Did she tell you to follow the plan? To save the world?" (Frankenstein)
Mars stood silent.
"No right? All she told us was the plan and that was that. Then she went and died-" (Frankenstein)
Suddenly, twenty different Magic Force Sorcerers, each from different ranks, appeared from the buildings surrounding the vicinity. They each held their own unique weapons, some guns, some swords, some staffs, all different kinds and types of magic.
All pointed at Frankenstein.
Frankenstein looked up at them. Their staring eyes. All ready to shoot. To take him out.
"UHHGHGHGHG! Come on! Let me just... Fine... I can't get past you anyway, Mars. You'll just keep getting rid of my magic. Keep saving these people." (Frankenstein)
He turned around and started walking in the other direction.
"I'll just come back again with a different plan. But I'll still get you on my side Mars! I'll just have to start from square one again. I'll just have to become an even worse villain." (Frankenstein)
He walked off into the distance, disappearing in the darkness.
All the Sorcerers waited on the order to shoot, but no order was given, Thomas just sat there stunned, confused.
Mars turned around.
"That was a wise decision. Letting him go." (Mars)
"Huh?" (Thomas)
"If you fought him back there, he would have killed all of you men and not even I could have saved them all." (Mars)
Thomas stood up, his body still feeling weird and morphed, like he was stuffed into a ball, with his limbs contorted and broken. He felt like rubber. He looked at Mars. His eyes back to green. He looked off with confusion. With worry.
"Umm... Your name is Jack, right? Emma... She said you're... Something is wrong with you. Are you ok, mate? Did you know Frankenstein back there? You were kinda speakin a lot of nonsense..." (Thomas)
He looked at his arms and legs.
"But you did save me. So I'll stop questioning you... I am grateful-" (Thomas)
Mars fell forward. Thomas caught him.
"Hey! You ok-" (Thomas)
Bright green eyes.
"Where am I?! How did I get here?!" (Jack)
"What...?" (Thomas)
