Sorrow

Caryn woke up when someone opened the curtains on her. She was tired and her whole body was in pain after the previous night. Amal looked at her and pointed at a tray of food on the cupboard next to the bed. It was evident that she knew what took place in the room the previous night by the look of pity she looked at Caryn with.

Quietly Caryn started to sob when she thought about the brutal way that she lost her innocence. Without saying anything Amal went to her and held her tight to her chest. Caryn's sobs became louder and it felt as if a wall was breaking when she let go of all the hurt and anger that she held in for far too long. With one last hug Amal left the room when Caryn became calm and dried her tears.

Aaliyah entered the room and a look of shock graced her face when she saw the state that Caryn was in. "Morning. Would you like me to help you take a bath?" she asked Caryn. "No thank you. I would like to be alone for a while, but you can help me to the bathroom please" Caryn replied. Aaliyah looked at Caryn with teary eyes. "Caryn. If you ever need anything, please shout" she said. Caryn just nodded her head. When she got up out of bed Aaliyah gasped in shock when she looked at the dried blood between Caryn's legs. Without another word, she draped a nightgown over Caryn and helped her to the bathroom. She ran her a warm bath which Caryn sunk into with a sigh. "For what it's worth, I'm truly sorry for what happened to you" Aaliyah said when she left the room. Caryn just nodded while tears streamed down her face.
