"Say again?" he asked trying to make sure his ears were working well.
"Haha, you heard me. Now get up, we don't have all day." he threw a stack of clothes on Allen and left the room.
After he left, Allen sit there in shock. It really..happened? So easily..? I expected the process to be more tough and complicated but just by giving blood and chanting a spell, I became a prince..?
"Allen, stop thinking and get changed, we're on a time limit here." he said, trying to rush Allen, tapping on his non-existent watch peeking through the door.
Allen groaned as he got out of bed and felt his left leg hurting incredibly, he yelled out in pain and tumbled on the floor. He cursed and reassured Octavian that he was fine as he changed into the set of clothes that was given to him.
After changing, he walked up to the mirror and gasp in horror as he raised his hand up and touched his face. His eye color completely changed, it turned to a red color that closely resembled Octavian's but it was much lighter in color.
Making sure his eyes were working well, he rubbed his eye and blinked a few times to see that his eyes weren't playing a trick on him, he started panic as his mind went through a series of events.
Other than that, Allen lookes the same except for little minor changes that he didn't seem to notice. "uh Octavian..?" he wasn't no sure what to call the fourth prince currently as he was a royal himself and it would've weird to call him by my highness.
"That sounded a bit awkward didn't it?" he teased while poking Allen at the side of his waist. "Aren't we technically brothers now? Even though I am old enough to be your grandfather"
The words that came out of Octavian's mouth made Allen do a double take and recalled what he said again. "Aren't..you around 17?"
"Times 5 maybe.." he said with uncertainty as he flipped open a piece of paper and read to himself.
Not sure whether to continue asking and ruin Octavian's deep concentration or pretended that he didn't hear anything whatsoever. He chose the latter even though it bugged him not knowing why did Octavian looked so youthful at such a old age.
"We nobilities here are basically immortal, just like our residents. Once we reach a certain age our features simply stop aging. However, if you do wish to continue getting older looking until a certain age, you'll have to ask father that." he explained, seeing how Allen was showing signs of eagerness.
"Lawrence.. Where is he?" he asked immediately after remembering the events that happened earlier today.
"Pretty sure he is still talking to our private doctor, he plans to become an assistant so he'll be able to see you more often."
They reached the bottom of the staircase and arrived to the sight of a man in a suit bowing down to him with 2 guards that were decked out in high-class armor armed with terrifyingly sharp swords that could slice a tree in half with little effort.
"We'll have to announce our citizens that we do indeed have a new member of the Drakos Royal Fanily soon. And to do so, you'll have to play the part." when he said that he looked Allen up and down. "and right now, you look ridiculous in my set of clothing." he insulted bluntly.
Allen was about to argue but he remembered when he looked in the mirror earlier but was distracted by the color of his eye that he had completely forgotten how ridiculous he looked with clothes that were too big for him and didn't match with his aura at all as they seem to bright for him.
Wait, my eyes? I was meant to ask Octavian about my eye color, I had completely forgotten do so after getting sidetracked.
"My eyes, they turned color." he immediately saud as he tugged on Octavian's shiney shirt that sparkled along with his shoes.
"Ehh? They did!?" he immediately bended down to check his brother's eyes and touched all around his face and pinched it.
"I asked you about my eye color, not to massage my face." he said, getting pissed off to the extent that he would burn the whole castle down if he had access to the fire affinity.
"It's bound to happen, they can mean many things. I'm sure part of the reason they changed was similar to mine, we both were quite a close relative and are close to Satan in the family tree. We normally wouldn't have red eyes in the upperworld but down here, true forms are often discovered." he explained.
"Oh, and did you know..? We really aren't technically dead yet unless we get transported to the void. Just take the abyss as if it was another universe on earth that can't be found."
That fact made Allen dropped his jaw as he attempted to take in all the information before him. "I'm not.. dead yet..?"
"technically you aren't as you still age and your heart, still beats, only a little slower than in the past." he casually said as he walked towards the front door of the castle.
I'm alive afterall.. I really am. He suddenly felt tears forming in his eyes, immediately rubbing it with his hand he rushed to catch up to Octavian, who was already sitting inside the carriage outside the front gate.
Allen entered the carriage that was red and gold in color that looked extremely extravagant.
Trying to make himself comfortable, he sat down as he placed his leg on the other side of seats where Octavian was sitting on, while the guards sat beside Allen where more space was available.
"Head to Nona." he requested to the carriage driver.
"What is Nona..?" he questioned as he looked outside the carriage windows to see the lights of the city during hellnight, it gave him slight deja vu of festival lights that often appear at the start of a year in the upper world.
"Nona, a noble clothing shop as you obviously look disgraceful right now. While we're heading there, I'll explain to you your tasks and duties for tomorrow."
