Impossible

Calix was in panic as he pondered over his last-minute decision to stay with Allen who was now standing and staring blankly at the walls as if he had spotted something that shook him to the core.

"Allen..? We'll be fine right?" Calix asked as his hands trembled when he heard the horrendous howl he feared once more, it was getting louder with each howl, the monster was now approaching steadily towards them.

"Hellspawns sure are scary. They replicate monsters that exist. From tiny monsters.." Allen paused and gave a comforting smile before raising his hand pointing towards the humongous and terrifying three headed dog whose heads were now seen at the peak of the wall. "Even to Cerberus." his voice went cold as the smile on his face faded.

"Allen.. I don't want to die.. No no no.." he was going insane by the second, he grabbed his head and fell to the ground, tears filled his face once more.

Not being able to comfort Calix, Allen walked up front as he bit his lips nervously. 'There's.. absolutely no way I can stall for time. Nevertheless, even killing it.' he analyzed the situation calmly. He realized that the hound's attention was not focused on him or Calix but rather at the mansion instead where the servants were hiding themselves in, completely undefended with no knights to protect them at all.

'Is the God of Misfortune chasing after me?' he realised how ridiculous he sounded amd giggled out loud, startling the crying Calix.

Allen sighed, "If you want to have a small chance to survive this catastrophe, I really think you should remain composed and focus more on the situation at hand and finding solutions." he realized how harsh he sounded but it couldn't be helped. "It's not like you donating your tears will penetrate the hellhounds heart and make it feel emotions such as pity." he stated coldly before glaring at Cerberus.

Witnessing it break down the walls with little to no effort made him shiver with fear but he remained calm for the sake of the knights that grovel at his feet, begging for assistance.

The monster soon broke down the walls and infiltrated into the vicinity of the mansion as it stomped on the warehouses as if they were small little tidbets that stood in it's way.

"Water Barrier." this was proabably the first time Allen had to use such a complex spell for the affinity that he had neglected. However, he had no choice as he witnessed lava spilling out from the hellhound's mouth as if it was drool.

A thick water barricade formed in an instant, catching the attention of the monster who rushed over at the speed of light as it slammed it's huge heavy body against the barrier repeatedly.

Feeling his mana reducing at a drastic speed, he cursed. 'I need to save mana to able to activate the gun, if I continue at this rate, I'll be useless in no time.'

Gathering up his courage, Allen rushed infront, dashing through the barrier of water as he pointed his finger towards the hideous monster. "Fire bullet." he chanted as the ever so familiar crimson fire sprouted from the tips of his finger and shot at the tail of the hound, irritating the hound as it bellowed a cry of pain while it's tail began to burn to ashes.

However, Allen had a much more critical injury, he fell his knees shaking, not to fear but the aftereffects of using the fire. He pushed himself up with his arms but soon coughed out a pool of blood, staining the green grass beneath him. He heard the desperate calls of Calix when he had realized the monster was drawing closer.

His vision got blurrier by the second but he forced himself up and chanted another fire spell, if he had not, he would've been crushed under the feet of the Cerberus.

Crimson vigorous fire sprouted up from the ground, destructing and burning everything in it's path, including creating a slight barrier between him and the hellhound that dare not cross the danger. Allen was so close to being crushed, if he had not used his last resort, who knows what would've happened.

He panted heavily, trying to catch his breath and create some distance between them. He was hoping to lead the monster away from the mansion and Calix. However, he had a bad feeling that he was failing miserably.

Allen had to create some time for Calix to finish his work, or they would have no chance of survival. He felt his feet wobbling as he stood up amd backed away, he felt another pool of blood forcing it's way up his throat.

Distracting himself from the pain, he breathed in and out heavily. 'I bet i'm going to be out for a week after this incident at this rate.' his eyes glowed a rich gold, time hadn't stop for he had not yet recover. However, the time had slowed drastically for the monster but not Calix and Alen.

"Allen?!" Calix yelled out, scared out of his mind as his hands bled due to his carelessness as he sped up his work.

"I'm..fine. Focus and don't mind me." he warned before moving further away from the monster, he knew that his mark won't last much longer as he felt the connection with Kairos slowly breaking.

After limping to the corner of the garden, Allen place his hand over his throat and healed himself. Healing oneself makes the healing affinity extremely weak, but he didn't have any choice.

Unbeknowst to Allen, his beautiful black hair was slowly turning to a snowy white as it conquered his whole head. Using the little to no power of the mark he had left, he sent a message to Atlas. '3 minutes.' as soon as he send that, time flowed back to it's normal speed.

His snowy white hair faded as it left even more highlights on his hair. Allen reached for the dark crystal in his pocket and inserted an extreme amount of mana into it and aimed at the hideous monster that was now drawing closer to the distress Calix whose hands had stop working due to the fear.

Making sure his aim was right, he used the wind affinity and threw the crystal alongside with wind magic to quicken the speed of the crystal that was now heading straight towards one of the heads of the hound, blinding it with a dark light.

Calix worked as fast as his shaking hands could manage currently infront of the monster. He rushed and rushed and rushed, soom after, he was finished. Without the need to speak, he threw the gun towards Allen who stood readily to the opposite of him behind the hellhound.

Unfortunately for Calix, Cerberus had already recovered from the shocking veil of the dark that blinded it's horrendous bloodshot eyes and was now looking down at it's tasty prey, Calix.
