I was sitting in a dark corner of the furthest room from where the entire party was. I had grown dreadfully quiet after the bargain and everyone else felt the need to avoid having any kind of conversation with me. I needed to be left alone. Will looked guilty, probably for putting me in such a position. Thankfully, he didn't ask anything right then. He understood my need for space, for the space to breath, to think, to cry alone.
"Can I come in?" Alfie knocked on the door. I looked up but didn't say anything. He walked in and sat beside me. I leaned in on his shoulder, exhausted and numb.
"Did they find out? About you, I mean," I asked. My voice was drained of emotions. Utterly void.
"No, atleast it doesn't seem so," Alfie replied.
"That man, the one who got us into the accident, I saw him in the Hunter's memories. He is their master."
"If that's the case then we must be ready. Mr. Adams has been in Meadow Town for a long time. He knows lot more than we can imagine."
