A person once asked, what is the most painful part of your life that you wished not to remember. Amidst all the replies the person got, there was none I had ever experienced and even with the replies, the person only nodded showing that he heard, but was not still satisfied with the responses.

I am Folake... Mrs Folake Jones and this is my story.

As a final year student in the university of Ibadan, I had always longed for my convocation day were I would be celebrated by families, friends and well wishers for my diligent hard work while in school.

I had a finance named Edward Jones who was already a graduate of the university of Abuja.

we met at a friends wedding were he was part of the groups men, while I was the brides friend.

we had exchange number that very day,and before I knew what was happening, we had already started dating.

He was the son of the wealthiest man who was the CEO of a bank but his father died some months after his graduation ceremony and as the only heir to his father, he took his father's position as the CEO of the bank.

The day of my convocation, Edward came in grandma style and beautifully crossed the ceremony.

He was highly recognized and crowned by the high and mighty of the school and after the events which were to take place in the ceremony, the mc announced that there was one last request. Then and there, edward came out, took the microphone and announced to the hearing of the whole school his intentions to marry me.

He said, "miss folake aderanti, would you make me the happiest man on earth by agreeing to marry me". I was left dumb founded as silence filled the whole areana.

At a point I thought I was day dreaming but I knew better than to think of it as a dream.

Then all of a sudden, I heard my self say the world which every woman would be dreaming to say one day which was "YES". I was the most happiest woman on earth that day as I counted myself lucky.

We all that is, my family and his celebrated the occasion running and getting merry with little to worry about.

Edward suggested we got married as soon as possible because he couldn't wait to make me his wife and life partner for ever.

Within two weeks after the proposal, all that was needed for the wedding were already in place that is, my wedding grown, the invitation cards, the clothes (aso ebi) and every other thing.

To let you know, his mum was very supportive all along the line because to her, it would show that her do was already a man and not just a man, but also ready to be a responsible husband and father.

Like she said, "I can't wait to be a grandma and see my grandkids playing all around me".

Yes, that was the joy they all felt about my wedding.
