The golden Trio

"Maya, my love." Mother said out of the blue.

"Yes, mother." I replied, knowing deep down that she was about to ask me who I had chosen to live with. I had made my decision, but I just didn't want to hurt their feelings. All of a sudden, a brilliant idea popped into my mind.

"It has almost been two years, darling. Have you made a decision on who you want to live with during your holidays?" I heard fathers voice quiver. I nodded my head.

"Yes, I have. I have decided that I will live with both of you." Yes, that was a great idea! How had I not thought of that before now? I could see their confused expressions in the car mirror, causing me to grin.

"Darling, you know that is not possible." Mother whispered.

"Of course it is possible. When I say live with both of you I mean that I will take it in turns. One holiday I will spend with one of you and the next I will spend with the other." Huge smiles appeared on both of my parents faces.

"How did we not think of that!" Mother exclaimed.

"You are so smart, my love!" said father. I hadn't seen both of my parents smiling whilst in such close proximity of each other in ages so I had to smile. I had to take in this beautiful moment that would most likely never happen again.

We all sat in silence for the last five minutes of the journey, still smiling from ear to ear. I didn't want to have to leave them but I have already done it for the past five years so it shouldn't be too hard doing it again, right? The only difference was that I had friends that I would be with those previous years, now I didn't. I had decided not to tell my parents about the incident in 5th year since I didn't want to make them worry even more about me than they already did.

It was finally time. I hugged and kissed my parents goodbye as they told me how much they loved me and that they would miss me so much. For the second time today, I'm sure I saw another few tears leave my father's eyes as I turned and ran towards the wall between platforms 9 and 10. I always got nervous when it got to this part. I kept hearing that one voice in the back of my head that told me that the wall was closed and I would smash into it. I never did of course, but the thought was still there.

I had forgotten how beautiful the Hogwarts express was. The black and red paint that covered the train looked as if it had only been painted 5 minutes ago. It looked brand new even though it was made years and years ago.

I kept my head down as I remembered Cedric, Tanya and Martha. Pushing my trolley towards the end of the train where the storage was kept, I began to once again worry about where the hell I was going to have to sit. Would I have to sit with a bunch of random strangers? I didn't want that to be the case. My mind raced with all of the terrible possibilities of what was going to happen in the next 10 or so minutes.

"Ouch!" A voice yelled from in front of me. Looking up I saw that I had stopped dead still in front of a young, raven-haired boy who seemed to be a year or two younger than me.

"Your trolley is on my foot!" He shouted in pain.

"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry! Are you ok?" I exclaimed pulling the trolley away from his foot.

"I'm fine, don't stress over it." The boy said. My jaw dropped as I realized who I had just spoken to. The young boy in front of me was none other than Harry Potter, the boy who lived.

"Is everything ok?" I heard him say. Slowly closing my mouth, I managed to say a few words.

"Harry Potter. Scar. Trolley. Foot. Sorry!" I sounded so stupid. What on earth was I saying? Harry laughed.

"It's ok! Don't worry about it! I'm...well I see that you already know my name. Who are you?"

"Maya. Maya Hope." I stuttered. He held out his hand to shake mine and I gladly shook it back.

"Pleasure to meet you." He said, a huge smile covered his face. Harry's smile was apparently contagious, I thought grinning back at him.

"Harry! I've missed you so much!" A bushy haired girl squealed embracing Harry tightly.

"Hello Hermione!" He replied, struggling to breathe. That was Hermione Granger! Even though these kids were 3 years younger than me, I was still extremely excited when I saw them. These two were famous at our school! In their first year, they fought off a troll and a three headed dog and in second year they defeated the basilisk in the chamber of secrets. They were Hogwarts' mini saviors.

"Who is this?" Hermione asked smiling at me.

"Maya Hope." I replied, shaking her hand, "I accidentally rode my trolley over Harry's foot." Harry started to laugh. Soon enough we were all laughing at the top of our lungs gasping for air.
