orning I woke sweating and shaking.

All I wanted to do was run.

The Devine Council sent dreams, hazy but very clearly showed dangerous creatures not of our world.

After gathering a troop of various races living within the area we proceeded into the area the darkness is at.

I've sent a spirit bear first to scout out the affected area

Oh crap my spirit beast was killed. I didn't even see what happened.

I chose panther spirit and have it use stealth moving quietly and slowly.

suddenly a slash and my panther moves to another shadow.

What a 3 meter tall Preying Mantis.

it's camouflage is exceptional. I call back my spirit and informed everyone else.

use your beasts to slip through the shadows and watch for the hidden intruders.

I still don't know what or where we're fully dealing with.

The only thing we do know is at least one type is stealthy and has no desire about holding back, the Mantis at least is a predator willing to kill relentlessly and seemingly without remorse.

OK slowly move out.

Ground, mid and treetop.

We're moving along the edge and back again zig zag slowly going deeper with each pass.

my wives and children are back at the main camp with their spirit beasts shadowing us if anything happens their job is to leave to a safe pace and report any findings to the council.

I am the Alpha and they promised tondo as I said, whether that actually happens we'll see.

As we creep slowly inward we find bugs, centipedes, moths, beetles, mantises, and spiders. None of our world.

we pulled back after 3 days and report our findings to be relayed to the council,

we actually in conjunction with human military in the area start another recon of the area. looking for any creatures with an intelligence we can communicate with, after 3 weeks we find no intelligent or creature willing to communicate, every creature we find are only considering us as a food source.

so as mainly predators we send thw herbivores away and start picking off every bug we find.

any and all egg, larvae, pupae and adult bug trying to het a foothold in this world is sent to the next world.

We call others beast and human to search for any technology that may be left Behind.

we keep our were secret from the humans as well as we can.

but with the dark are slowly getting bigger we may end up inadvertently revealing ourselves.

Steps are slowly being taken within local governments to handle things in case we have to fight side by side going full were.

I take my troops oit every day and still we're getting pushed back.

finally we get the humans to start destroying the jungles we have every thing from bulldozers to aerial fire bombing we make fire lines to push back the dark until we finally reach a point of equilibrium.

That is something that is not acceptable.
