Chapter Sixteen

At Dragon Flame’s castle, Damon walked into the dining room. He said “sorry to interrupt, but someone’s been attacking people at Hawkins medical school.”

Percy said, “let me guess, one is a girl that favors leather, and the other likes turning people into human Pez dispensers.”

Carter said, “so Jax and Thalia are attacking people.”

Damon said, “yes, we managed to track them to a bar on campus.”

Eva said “what bar?”

Damon said “Griffins.”

Rose said, “well now they’re just being ironic.”

Damon said, “actually they’re trying to be symbolic.”

Carter said, “how do you know that?”

Damon said, “we bugged their castle.”

Carter said “okay, I’ll go get Valkar. Then we’ll head to the bar.”

Damon said, “we have a task force ready to go.”

Rose said, “so what’s the plan?”

Carter said, “we surround the building and send Valkar in.”

Eva said, “that’s the extent of our plan.”

“Well no plan is perfect,” Carter said.”
