Now that I am one step away from my first plan, my heart is getting excited on knowing the man's name. After knowing his name I'll surely do some plans again while making sure that he and I will meet in the future.
I took out my lipstick from my purse and put some while looking at the mirror. I hear a flushed and plump my lips together as Louise walks to the sink to wash her hands.
Whe she turned on the faucet, I lean on the hard marble table. I folded my arms over my chest and tilt my head while watching her, waiting for her to notice my presence. But she was so focused on her hands that I got no choice but to called her name.
"Louise Hernandez Calathea," I said it very slowly and firm.
She stopped on moving her hands and turn her head to me. Her eyes from being small gets widen as she get a look at my smiling face. Her pinkish lips was partly parted and stares at me in awe. Is she starstruck? Can't blame her.
Me, Sharika Rose Miraflor, just call her name in a very beautiful way. And she should really be amazed since I am starting a conversation with someone I didn't even know that exist.
She then slowly nodded her head while trying to turn off the faucet. Her eyes looked around the room with a quivering eyes.
"I know this is a bit late, but congratulations on your debut party. It was magnificent. I hope you like our gift," I smiled at her and puts down my hand on the marble behind me.
I arched my eyebrow when she didn't answer me. I giggle awkwardly to get her attention.
"Ah.." she blushes furiously as if she remember something, "Y-yes! Of course. It's a great gift. Thank you," her voice was stuttering but she was still smiling sweetly at me.
I nodded my head and can't help but to look at her from head to toe. She was wearing the same uniform as mine because we're just on the same level but different strand of career. A navy blue pencil skirt, a long sleeves white polo with ruffles from the neck up to the chest, and a yellowish necktie. But the way she dressed herself, I feel like something was missing.
She wore the skirt below the knees, the inside white blouse was tucked in her skirt on a very straight way and all the buttons are buttoned, while her necktie was hanging on her neck in a very mannered way. She also partnered the uniform a very flat black shoes.
Is she really the only daughter of the Calathea Palace? Why does she looks like some girl comes from a countryside?
My nose crunched at her fashion and my smiles became a wry smile. But she was still smiling sweetly at me like she does not care about on how I gave her uniform a look. I shook my head and lean forward to stand a meter away from her.
"I.. I didn't know that you'll approach me just to say those words on me," she giggles softly, "You're so kind, Sharika."
I almost burst out laughing at what she said. She didn't take my laughter as a bad thing as she laugh with me too. When I stop, she also stop.
My eyes can't stop wandering at her old sfyled uniform. We wore the same type but definitely wear it not in the same way.
My skirt is two inches above the knees. Sadly, when I wore it just a little more above my knees, I got into a problem of not wearing the uniforms properly so I asked my designer to do some tweaking at my skirt to make it two inches above the knees. My necktie was a bit lose and my blouse was unbuttoned by two buttons to make my collarbone with a dazzling silver necklace gave by my dear brother visible to anyone. I am also wearing a three inches black heeled shoes. Definitely a trend fashionista style.
And as a girl who loves to dress up, my eyes just can't stop glaring at her old fashion choices. She should have at least wear a wedge shoes!
"Are you sure that you are a Calathea?"
Her eyes widen at my sudden remarks. Her cheeks bounces a bit as her lips try to smile but ended up being bitten by her lips, "H-How... d.. did--" she bowed her head like I am scolding a puppy.
My eyebrows raises at her weird actions to my sarcastic question, "Oh my, come on, it's just a sarcastic one because you don't looks like the one who came from a wealthy family. Judging by your choice of style, you just look like a..hmm..normal person?"
A second passed I hear a soft sob. My eyes widen as I looks at her. Is she seriously crying?! My goodness, this girl is such a loser!
My hand lifted automatically as I took one step towards her but stopped in the middled.
Are we even friends to console each other? Or even cry infront of each other?
I shake my head and just sigh. The real purpose why I am here, standing infront her, trying to do a small conversation is to gather the information about the man in the party. I almost forgot what my goal is because of her actions.
"Nevermind. I'm just here to asked you one questions," I took out the laminated photo and slides it so she can take a look, "What is this man's name?"
She flinched when I asked her. With her trembling hands, she holds the pictures and looked up at me with tears on her eyes flowing down to her cheeks. She didn't bother wiping them while she answer my question.
"W-why.." she gulped once to fix her stuttering voice, ".. did you have this?"
"Well, I like him. So give me his name," I folded my arms over my chest.
"I.." her eyes looks away and look at the picture and shake her head, "I can't give his name."
Huh? She can't give his name?
"Why?" I smiled at her even though my lips trembling and want to form a line.
She shake her head again while avoiding my eyes. The bell ring but I didn't moved an inch to my position. However, Louise flinched at that loud bell sound. She handed me the picture and I automatically get it in a slow movement of my hand.
She take her phone and wallet on the sink while getting a bit panick as if the class will start. We still hace five minutes and it will only take ten seconds to answer my question.
It is not a millionaire question, so why she can't tell me? Is it a secret? Or she just didn't know? Why wouldn't she know if that man was invited in her debut! Or.. is he her boyfriend? No way. I'm sure not because he was not her partner at her debut. Did she like him and did not want anyone to know about him?
In those questions in my mind, my mood became dark. I hold tightly to the laminated photo until I can feel a sting on my hand.
"This is ridiculous," I shake my head and lifted my chin.
I looked at Louise through the mirror. She stopped moving as she saw my face. She slowly turn her head to to face me. Her tears are dry but her eyes are red.
I took a step forward until I trapped her and she took one backward until her thigh bumped in the sink. She start to tremble again as she looked up at me. I raised my right hand and she scream fo unknown reason and close her eyes tightly. I smirk at her reaction and caress her cheek, acting like wiping her dried tears.
"Oh, Louise. Are you scared of me?" I asked her like I am whispering tenderly, "I won't hurt you. Unless, if you force me to."
I tap her cheek. It bounces at just a light tap making me smirk at that. She open her eyes like a scared puppy. Her eyes start to produce tears again. I almost laugh at her weak stature.
"I really can't tell you, Sharika. Not to anyone who asked me."
"I don't care about the reason why you can't tell me. I just want one answer to my one question."
She was gonna say something but someone open the door. The silent room is now filled with their laughs. Louise looked at those group. I just saw them through the mirror. They stop laughing when they saw us. They are looking at us with some curious look and gasp when they hear Louise's soft sobs.
"Hi," I said in a flat tone, "Do you want to join us?"
In that question, they hurriedly shake their heads and almost run to the door.
Louise gasp for air and extended her hand for them.
"Do you think they will help you? Girl, they are the proof that I am scarier than you think," I stand my body straight and comb the tip of her hair, "So if you don't answer me before the second bell rung, I will make your life miserable inside this campus."
At my simple words, her eyes widen and her shoulders flinch. I tried to look at her seriously and continue my sentence.
"I can make your peaceful life into a chaos in just a snap of my fingers," I snapped my finger infront of her face, "I will make your morning to afternoon a hell. I will make sure you'll never have a peaceful time without me."
Now, she looks scared but her lips were still tightly sealed. My eyebrows flinched for a bit but gladly she did not see that because she's busy looking at the door waiting for someone to come again.
If there's a goody student, a kind and obedient one, what is it that they are always falling in the hands of their enemy? Ah, right. It is their loved ones.
I smirk as I think of something, "But if you really didn't want to, I'll just asked my friends to asked your friends," at the mention of her friends, her eyes directed at me now.
I smirk as I pick my phone in my purse and pretended to call someone. I waited for a second while my phone is in my ear and watching Louise's distorted face. She bit her lower lip and can't stop her shoulders to move up and down.
She still won't tell me huh?
"Hey, Shain," I glances at Louise as she panickly took a step to me but I lifted my free hand to stop her, "Do you happen to know Louise Hernandez Calathea?.. Ah, no. I am into her friends-"
"Le-lepinius.."
I stopped and turned my body to her, "Yes?"
She tightly closed her eyes and grips on her skirt as she mumbled again the answer to my question.
"Lepinuis Alco Villafuente."
