My brother used to compliment me in every aspect. Even though my drawing was awful, he will asked for a frame and put my drawings inside. He will hang my drawing on his bedroom's wall.
Whenever I have a pimple, he will kiss it and said how much beautiful I am. Whenever I feel down about something, he was just one call away, and everything will be fine. My brother was a hero and the reason why I keep on gaining confidence.
Confidence is everything as a woman.
It took me another minute to chitchat with my acquaintances. Louise was just fidgeting and glancing back at me for awhile now. She looks like a lost kid. Glancing at the people who went to my side to kiss my cheek or asked for a high five.
She is still trying to compose her balance. Whenever she took a step on line, she struggles to walk straight. I can see that her eyes was focused on the floor while she's biting her lips. I almost laugh at her composure right now. She's no longer the angel or princess that everyone tells me about.
Right now, she looks like a newborn chick who doesn't know how to fly.
Louise was getting closer to the counter but thankfully, the one in front of her got a problem with his card. I took the opportunity to talk to Louise. I tapped her shoulder lightly and she flinched her body again.
"I heard that you donated your personal money from your debut to some charities," I said while trying to be calm and sweet.
She glanced at me and bowed more her head. Her hair gently flows down from her shoulders to cover her face.
I raised my eyebrows at her. Her hair was black, jet black at that. It was shiny as if she put wax on it and used iron to straighten it. The tip of her hair was also straight. It's like as if she went to salon every morning to do her hair.
It's not a bad hair. Considering that she had no sense of fashion on her body. At least, her hair was gorgeous enough.
I shake my head as I keep on complementing her hair. My hair was more gorgeous than her. It was also black but there's a wave an inch before the tip. And I love my hair the way it was because I can style it with anything I want without a hassle.
Louise didn't answer me. She keeps on fidgeting in front of me. Her shoulders was shaking as if she was crying. Her back was facing me even though I tried to caught her attention.
My eyebrows twitched when she ignores my words. I tapped my index finger on my cheek while watching Louise's body. It was turning side by side to look back at me. She looks like wanting to talk to me but, is she scared of me?
I don't know how to handle someone who is afraid of me. She just ignored my first attempt and no one did that to me even though they struggled to talked back to me, they still didn't ignore me like what Louise just did. I don't know what to say anymore since she was ignoring me.
But how will I gather more information about Lepinius if I will give up now? Or should I take it very slow?...I think I'll take it slow for now then.
I was about to turn my back to her when she suddenly speak in a very low tone manner.
"U-uhm," her body was slowly facing me, "W-why did y-you asked for L-lepinius?"
I grinned at that. Straight to the point! I should have said it directly earlier, then I'll not struggle to have plans on my mind. Because of her, I'm using my mind like a puzzle.
"I happened to get curious at him," I took a step forward to her.
She flinched at that and even close her eyes. I giggles at her funny reaction. As if I am going to slap her. I looked at her face and smiles at her. I saw some of her hair stuck at the corner of her lips.
She is gross in some way. She reminds of a child who likes to nibble her hair. I shake my head at that. She opened her eyes slowly. It was quivering as if it's too scared of me. I tilt my head at her.
I saw the guy in front of her whispering things to his friend after the saleslady gave them what they want. They were glancing at us like we're doing something unusual while slowly walking away.
"It's your turn," I pout my lips at her back.
The saleslady was impatiently tapping her fingers on the counter while glaring at Louise.
Louise panicked when she saw the face of the saleslady. She took a step forward but her legs were trembling that it landed wrong. Her heels got twisted and I gasps when i saw her body falling. I extended my hand to grab her arm but it was too late. She fall to the ground. If she didn't extended her arm, her face will kiss the dirty floor.
I heard an scandalous squeal somewhere. I didn't turn my head around to look who is it and took a step with helping Louise on my mind.
"She pushed her!"
I stopped at my track at that baseless scream. I turned to my side where I heard it came from and glare as I glances at each of the students who are looking at me with such an eyes.
"O-ouch," Louise groaned making my attention back to her.
She was now holding her right ankle as if she was enduring a lot of pain. I extended my hand again but stopped when I heard someone's voice. It was familiar.
"I saw her! She pushed Louise from back."
It was a normal low voice. I heard it so probably she was just near me. I looked at my other side to figure out who the hell she is. But all I see is figures of students I know, whispering to each other with a judgement in their eyes.
Ah... When was the first time I felt wronged like this? If I remember it correctly, it happened five years ago.
"Sharika! Look at this! Oh my god," Anika was hurriedly walking and sit on her chair beside me.
I was looking at my newly painted nails when her annoying loud voice echoed in the room. It was early in the morning when my brother gave me a ride to school and there's just almost five students inside the classroom. We all looked at Anika in curiousity.
"What now, Nik? Isn't too early to shout like that?"
"Girl!" she shouted again.
She was now sitting besides me while holding her iPad. She leaned her body on the desk and looked at me with a flustered looks. She holds out her iPad as urged me to look at it.
"Look! That freaking girl from other section did this to you!"
I saw four pictures of me. The first one was I'm holding a cigarette inside a bar while smiling at someone. The second one was pictured on my back. It showed my back and arms linked around a guy's neck. It looked likes we're kissing or making out. The third picture was Shain whispering something on my ear in a very close manner. It even showed my arm resting on his thigh. And the last pic was I was kicking a homeless and wounded dog.
It was sent to a group chat on We Chat that I am not part of. There's no other conversation before the pictures. I think it was solely made so the sender will just send the pictures.
It was edited, of course. It was purely like someone hates me to the point of editing some of my posted photos on social media. I didn't mind that and just said 'Forget it' to Anika.
Anika follwed what I've said. But not the people who loves gossips. They posted the edited pictures they've received from the group chat to social media. They have captions like,
"Dirty spoiled brat"
"The true meaning of beautiful outside, but dark inside"
"She's a rich girl, so it's a given she has that side"
Some even posted a long caption saying how they know my attitude and characteristics. How my temper was bad and how half of the population in school was scared of me.
Even though I was called to the Disciplined Office to be interrogated because of the numbered posts and shared pictures of me. They didn't believe me so they called my mother. Gladly, my brother already explained everything to my parents making it easier to my lawyer mother to act legally.
But a couple of days later, there's a video of sent to the new group. The sender added me now and sent the video. It was a sex video. I didn't know how she ended up having that when I didn't even know I had sex with someone. It was purely edited. Anika at least know that it was edited, but not the people around us.
I was mocked and looked down for a few days. I didn't care but even my friends was making fun of it.
"She really pushed her! I saw it with my own eyes," someone said again.
I clenched my fist and gritted my teeth while looking down. The cafeteria was now got nosier as students who claimed to saw what happened spreading words like a wildfire.
"Sha! What happened?" I heard Anika.
I turned to Anika. Her eyes was looking around the students who formed a small circle. She looks at me curiosly. I sighs out as I shake my head and just stand firmly. I looked at Louise who was still on the ground gathering her things that fell out from her big purse. She looked like a homeless girl who's struggling to get the coins she dropped.
"Oh my! Are you okay?" Anika asked and immediately squat down to help Louise gather her things.
"Sha," Shain's voice from my back reach my ears.
I looked up at him. His eyes was looking at me sadly. His lips are parted a bit. He looked worried. He holds both of my shoulders and caress it gently. He kissed my temple. I opened my mouth to explain to him but shot up when he said something.
"Why did you pushed her?"
