PAINFUL MARRIAGE 13
Selena's POV
Emerson took care of everything before we went out of the hospital. When we got to the parking lot our driver was already waiting there. My husband helps me get in the car. I thought he would sit in the passenger's seat but he is here next to me now, holding my hand as he talk to our driver.
I leaned on his shoulder and yawned. Early in the morning yet I was drowsy. It seems like this when pregnant, according to the article I read. Last night before my husband and I went to bed, I requested that we read articles about pregnancy. My husband patiently waited and read with me until we both finished reading five articles.
"Sleepy?" my husband asked and kissed the top of my head. I glanced at our driver who was smiling as he looked at us from the rearview mirror. I pouted and looked up at Emerson.
Hmm," I nodded. I yawned again that I could hear his small laugh. He removed the grip of our hand and wrapped his arm around my back. I leaned on his chest and closed my eyes. "You can sleep, baby. The hacienda is still far away." I could not answer him because I was completely asleep.
I felt the lift on me so I opened my eyes. I saw my husband walking seriously while he's holding me. He pursed his lips when he saw me awake now and gave me a quick peck on my lips. I smiled and sank into his neck.
"Congratulations !!!"
I was startled by the loud screams of the people who greeted us at the entrance of the mansion. I looked at my husband who was obviously also surprised. He gently put me on the ground, his arm supporting my waist. I smiled with joy when I saw Aunt Nila, housemaids and hacienda workers carrying large tarpaulin. It says, "Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Caro. Welcome baby Caro!"
"Thank you all, very much," I said with a smile. My husband touched the side of my waist and I looked at him. He smiled and kissed my cheek, causing people to scream. My cheeks got hot because of what he did. I slapped him lightly on the arm so he laughed.
"Thank you, everyone. Because we're having a baby now, we should celebrate. Please bring your families here in the mansion for the party tonight," Emerson announced. People shouted for joy and thanked the two of us. I stayed away from my husband because some workers were talking to him. I saw his protest but I just shooked my head at him and pointed Aunt Nila. He sighed and nodded, he kissed the bridge of my nose so I smiled.
