Painful Marriage (A Short Story) [Completed]

Years have passed, my marriage with Emerson is not painful anymore. He's really dedicated that he'll do his best to make it up to me. 


He's always taking care of me, from the day that things got along pretty well with the both of us, my pregnancy, the day our daughter was born and such. Like he said, he's always there for me. When I need him rather when me and our daughter needed him, he set aside his work and come home to check on us and help me with our daughter. 


"Baby, you should rest. I'll take care of our pretty little Hope," he said and gently caressed my hair. 


We named our daughter "Hope" because it reminds me of my hopes that someday Emerson will changed and love me the way I love him. And yes, the man from above granted it and I'm very much thankful. 


"Are you sure? I know you're tired too, Em," I said to him. He smiled and crouched a bit to kiss my forehead. I smiled too as I close my eyes.
