"If I had known what to expect, I would have just run into him again."

Ash. An outsider, a mystery, a legend. Everyone avoids him, everyone fears him, everyone respects him. Everyone - except Jane. She compulsively tries to get to the bottom of his behavior and to reveal his secret that he tries to keep at all costs: he is a vampire.
But when he just manages to deal with one problem, he immediately moves on to the next. Strange murders happen and his past seems to catch up with him.

When we disappeared around the corner I pushed Kyle against the wall and sparkled at him angrily. 


"I'm happy to see you too," he grinned at me and easily detached himself from me, only to be pushed up by me. 


"What are you doing here?," I growled at him and pushed harder. 


"I'm sorry I ran away, okay? I didn't mean to leave you behind, but-" 


"But nothing. You let me down, just when I needed you. Without you, things only got worse. I lost control." Slowly he pushed my hand away and looked at me intensely. 


"I am here. "We're going to fix this, I promise you. This time I won't run away", his look pierced me and he put his hand on my shoulder, but I hurled it away. 


"Fuck off, Kyle. I can do this without you. What are you even doing here?"
