Elli POV
I could still hear the sirens as the Escalade sped through the dark road. Although Alice—also known as our Aunt Jazz—took a huge hit, I still felt queasy.
There was this sinking feeling at the pit of my stomach. Maybe because there was the possibility of her getting even. At this point I was thankful dad was still in Seoul. He was far from all these trouble.
I took a deep breath as I look outside the window. I know Yui was just behind us, and Jun's current bodyguard was also lethal. But I still felt scared and worried as f*ck.
I felt Jun squeezed my hand and I looked at him.
"It's going to be fine," he assured me quietly.
I put my head on his shoulder and closed my eyes. "I really do hope so."
When we stopped in front of our house, Jun walked me to the front door; but we both stopped when Mom stepped out of the house with her robe wrapped tightly around her over her night gown.
"Uh-oh," Aeron muttered behind us. "I totally forgot she's home now."
