Side Story III: The Carnival "Date"

If I would be honest, I was a bit upset forgetting about Yui's birthday. But I shook that off and decided to just enjoy the night. It was still long.

So after eating at Dixie's and singing Yui the Birthday song, we went straight at the carnival at the end of the town. It had been quite a long time since we went so Elli was pretty excited.

I couldn't tell about Yui though. She was quiet most of the drive to the carnival, but she would answer whenever Elli would ask for her opinion.

When we arrived, Elli excitedly pulled her cousin towards the entrance. Yui obviously was just letting her to enjoy the night. But I saw her casually looking around.

Since it had been my habit to watch her, no matter how subtly she looked around, I could tell she was making sure the vicinity was safe. I could't help but sigh. Today was her birthday. She should be enjoying at least this night.

"I didn't know you're such a worrywart, my friend," Aeron said teasingly beside me.
