Chapter 29 - The Night (5)

Xalen is running down the hallway when he turns around and collides with someone, the blanket she holds on her hand all falling to the ground, she bows her head before she apologizes many times, while Xalen gathers all the blankets off the floor.

“Here,” Xalen said, giving her the blanket back, Yoani still bowing even though her hand had received all the blankets.

She peers through her lashes, to find a man not older than mid-twenty, looking apologetic, his eyebrow scrunched in concern, and his deep black orbs make Yoani breath hitches.

Because nobody has ever seen at her like that before.

“It was my fault, I should’ve been more careful when turning, are you okay?” Xalen asked, after a while.
