The next couple of days Hannah lived on without any more incidents, she didn’t see the Bryan or Xander, and she also managed to avoid the headmaster most days. She was happy that she didn’t encounter more of his bullying, but she saw some of the others from his group. Luckily, they left her alone, however she knew it was only a matter of time before they would start to bully her again. Through her days she couldn’t stop thinking about Xander, she missed him. Which was strange, but every waken minute she had, she felt like she missed a part of herself. She had never felt like that before, and she didn’t even know him. Sometimes, it even felt like she couldn’t breathe because she missed him so. At other times she thought she saw a glimpse of him, or that she could catch his scent, and the pain in her body released a bit, but she never saw him.
Her birthday got closer and she got even more nightmares. In most of them the headmaster forces himself on her, and so does Bryan, after that she get tossed on the streets where she dies. She tries not to worry about it, but she can’t and in the few encounters she had had with the headmaster, he had become more aggressive with his fondling, and the lust in his eyes made her body shiver with fear. Usually his big long thin hands, pinched and squeezed her breasts, till they were black and blue. And he would tell her, how he couldn’t wait for her birthday. He would be ready to treat her as a slut, and he was ready to punish every part of her body. She would never show him how much his words affected her or how his hands were hurting her. She knew that he got of on pain. She had seen it when he had whipped her with the belt, or when he had punished Louise for helping her make dinner. So, she never responded. She just stood there tall and with her head held high, and he hated it. He kept telling her, “how he would love to break her and how he would have her begging him to fuck her. Because that would be the only mercy, she would ever receive the rest of her life.”
Hannah felt the pressure on her life, and she didn’t eat much. She knew that her finals would be done the day before her birthday, and that she longer wouldn’t be able to hide.
Xander grew more frustrated with each day, he had upheld the promise to himself, and hadn’t engaged in a conversation or touched her since the day. Christian had brought him a file, with a few information’s about her bully. His name was Bryan, he was a part of a wealthy family. His father was known as a mad man, running the underworld, engaged in everything from drugs, human trafficking, to paying off the human law enforcement to have guns for hire. Everything in the city underworld, was somehow connected to Bryans father, he even had a few rouges, wolfs without a pack, as a part of his gang and no one would touch them. Even if Xander knew better than to judge a man by his father, he couldn’t help but to think that Bryan was exactly like his father, but he also knew that if he did anything without thinking first, he would begin a war within the city and a lot of casualties would be happening.
“So, what, kill the low life scum” Xavi growled in the mindlink.
“We need to play this smart; I want to kill him just as much as you do” Xander tried to argue with his wold.
Xander
Xavi had become more annoying every day, complaining about not seeing, touching or revenge his mate. Some days Xander has been near her just trying to calm down his wolf. But as the last couple of weeks had went on it had become much harder to cage Xavi, and close down the mindlink. He had become frustrated every day, he also quitted sleeping for more than a few hours a day. He had to train all the time, Luke and Christian had begun to complain about all the training. They couldn’t keep up with him.
“If he doesn’t get something soon, I am pretty sure he is going to kill us” Luke complained to Christian after another day of training. “we have been at this for what six hours now, I love to train, but this is getting insane”
Christian didn’t reply at first thinking then he said. “he needs his mate, but he is so damn stubborn” he sighed and shook his head.
“Well why doesn’t he reject her, so we can get on with our lives” Luke rolled his eyes, massaging his left shoulder with his right hand, it was sore after Xander throwing him around 30 times that day.
Christian just shook his head. “I will talk to him.” He left Luke at the training area and went towards the packhouse.
“Xander we need to talk” Christian said through his mindlink
“I am at the office” Xander growled back annoyed.
Christian entered Xander’s office, the furniture’s were dark brown, and leather. There was a couch, and two leather chairs at the east wall, at the wall towards the north, there was a big screen usually it was hidden in the cabinet and tons of books was placed around it, all sorted by name. to the west there was a huge window that faced the forest, and right now the last rays of the sun was surrounding his Alpha, standing behind the desk, facing the forest.
Christian walked through the big door and stepped in front of the desk, between the two chairs. Xander turned around, he looked tired, Christian wasn’t even sure his Alpha slept at all these days. it looked like he only just, ate and trained all day.
“With all respect, Alpha,” Christian said, he only used Xander’s title if it was important, “this needs to stop, you can’t continue like this. Not because I don’t like to train with you, but all your warriors can’t keep up, and by the looks of it, your body can’t either.
Xander growled loudly with anger. Christian didn’t move, he knew that Xander would never hurt him, they had been friends for way to long. Xander grabbed a paper holder from the desk and threw it at the wall next to Christian. Xander closed his eyes and he slowly opened them again. Christian saw that his eyes flickered between golden and green. He was struggling to keep his wolf under control.
Xander was listening to what his Beta said, Christian had been his best friend for many years, and he also knew that he was right, he could barely function. He had worn out his warriors, and his body. He couldn’t think straight anymore, all he could think about was Hannah, her beautiful eyes and killing Bryan for touching her.
“I know Xander growled, I am going to reject her tomorrow, it is the only way. She doesn’t deserve a mate like me. And I can’t use a weak Luna.” Xavi growled by the sound of that in the mindlink, “if you reject her, I am going to fight you forever he said, and you will forever lose a part of me, it belongs with my mate!!”
Christian sighed “ Are you sure it is the right move, Xander, why not bring her here and teach her how to be a Luna, the moon goddess’s blessings aren’t something you should take lightly, and we don’t know how Xavi will react to the rejection. You are an Alpha, you are more dependent on your Luna”
“This is my final decision; I will reject Hannah as my mate!!!!!!” Xander yelled with his Alpha voice. Christian weren’t sure if Xander tried to convince himself, Xavi or Christian with the Alpha voice, but he couldn’t reply. The Alpha voice had numbed him. “As you will Alpha” Christian said. Using the Alpha title, letting Xander know that he wasn’t agreeing with the decision.
Hannah
The day of the finals came around, she handled all the tests of the day, went to her locker and began packing down all her things. It was a sad day, she felt grief with every booked she packed down. While she was packing, her nose catched the scent of her savior, this time it was stronger than it had been in a long time. She turned around, and stood face to face with Xander. Her eyes locked into his. After standing like that for a few moments he asked “what is your name”
“Hannah?” she was confused, he knew what her name was.
“What more than Hannah”he clenched his fists
“Uhm, I don’t know, just Hannah” she replied
“Well that must do then” he kept looking into her eyes
“I Xander Bluesilver, Alpha of Emerald pack, hereby reject you Hannah as my mate.” He turned around and left.
Hannah stood there with a confused face. She had no idea what has just happened. He had looked so serious. She stood there, feeling his scent a few more minutes and felt tears in her eyes. She would probably never see him again, and for some reason she felt a big black hole in her stomach and it was with a heavy heart she continues packing the rest of her belongings.
As she walked out of the school, the scent of Xander had disappeared. She began walking home, when she walked down one of the small alleys she suddenly felt a horrifying shiver down her spine, as she sensed Bryan. She had been so close to home, so close to never see him again.
“well well well” he said with a creepy voice. “if it isn’t the bitch, I am going to punish the rest of her short life. He went close to Hannah, grabbed her books and tossed them on the brick pathway. “you wont ever need these again, because pretty girls like you, don’t need a brain”He stepped closer to Hannah, and she backed, he kept moving closer and she kept backing, until she felt the cold, damped bricks, of the alley against her back. He raised his hand, and Hannah prepared herself, for him to slap her, but instead he let his fingernails, slowly scratch her face, following the shape of her head, then moving along her neck down to her chest. She could feel some of his nails, cutting through her skin. “don’t let him see you are scared she told herself, with her back against the world”
He moved his head next to her ears “I can’t wait to buy you as my personal toy.” He licked her jawbone underneath her ear. Then he moved back, and he slapped her with his other hand. The slap caught her by surprise, since she hadn’t seen him move his hand, so focused on what he was saying. She felt a ringing in her ear and her cheek burned. Tears were forming in her eyes. “don’t cry” she told herself, “don’t give him the satisfaction.” She fought her tears and lifted her head again. Looking into his cold eyes, that were filled with lust. Bryan moved away from her. “See you tomorrow, Bitch, I can’t wait, he grinned.” Then he turned around and left her.
A pain formed inside Hannah’s head, and a huge fear, what was going to happen tomorrow. It seemed like Bryan knew more about it than she did, but it wasn’t good, a shiver of fear went down her spine.
