After reaching her rented apartment, Christine took out all her bags in the living room and checked all the corners of her room to confirm if she has forgotten any of her belongings. She put her set of apartment keys on the table in the living room and left the apartment with her bags in tow. She had already booked a cab before leaving her apartment.
Her cab driver was waiting for her outside her apartment compound, he helped her to put her bags in the trunk. She took back seat in the cab. She gave in her home address after cab driver keyed in her address, He started driving the cab. Christine clicked to open WhatsApp on her cellphone and typed in a message in Roommates Group-
"I have vacated my room and have left our apartment keys on the table in the living room. Bye All."
When she saw her message with two ticks( means delivered to recipients ), She exited the group. She is no longer going back to her apartment and would not be meeting these people. She did not wish to stay in this group. She noticed that she has one unread message from certain "Pervert" in WhatsApp.
"I hope that you have gone through the entire list by now. Earlier, I forgot to mention the size for item no 27. Bring free size. Feel free to buy the flavours that you like."
This hooligan is still talking about purchasing that item. She was annoyed. This guy may ask her about this item when she goes there. But, How would she buy this item? Moreover, Why should she buy it? She will pretend that she forgot to buy if he asks about it.
Her parents were not at home when she arrived. She carried her luggage bags in living home by herself. She took a shower and climbed into her bed. Last night, she did not get enough sleep. So, she slept like a pig until dinner time. Her mother had come into her room to check on her. When she saw her sleeping daughter, she did not wake her up. She asked Christine's father to call her only when dinner was ready.
On the dinner table, Christine and her parents discussed shopping plans for the weekend. Christine's mother helped her in arranging clothes, daily necessities in her bags post-dinner. They took out items that Christine had brought back from her apartment which were not required for her trip. Christine retired to her room around 10 pm. Today, she did not have any KT session with Cletan. She then started browsing entertainment news on her phone.
She got a couple of WhatsApp notifications. She did not manage to see the sender name in time. She exited the web browser and opened WhatsApp but immediately regretted her decision to open the app on impulse.
"Christine, Are you sleeping? Can we talk now?"Christine was shocked. She had received these messages from Sam so late in the night. Does not he know what time it is in Country A? She thought of ignoring his message but she could see him online in WhatsApp. She had not disabled her last read timestamp(feature in WhatsApp). Forget it, She will reply to him.
"I am awake. We can talk." As soon as her message was delivered, she received a call on her cellphone.
"Why are you not sleeping? Did not I instruct you to take good care of your health?"This annoying guy did not even greet her.
"I was not working today. I came back early from the consulate, had taken a good nap in the afternoon so I am not sleepy."
