A world filled with magic and mystery, ancient celestials and new enemies, dragon royalty to elven poverty, cursed lands and forbidden ruins, Ethereal is home to the people from the dying Alecte Realm. 

In the world of Ethereal, Scott Powers lives an unsuspecting life while slightly ignorant of the outside world. In Erebus, the Upper region of the Underworld surrounded by walls, Scott and his family live their ordinary lives until, one day, Scott discovers umbra, misty shadow-like beings, have invaded Erebus underneath everyone's noses. While Scott plans to move them back to the underworld, mysterious forces drag him out of the walls and into the vast world full of magical creatures and spiritual abilities. 

Outside of the Underworld, Scott gets to meet the creatures he's read about for years, and he somehow becomes friends with a few princes and princesses. Along the journey to get back home he encounters all kinds of misfortunes, he wants to help but can he? 

And along with the impending doom he faces, he also experiences his and others' pasts through bonding with them. Broken dragon families, hurting siren royalty, and thieving orcs will be met and their pasts will unfold to create a bigger picture within a ripped paper. 

What role does Scott have in this world? And how can this teenager cope dealing with romance, betrayal and friendship?

"Nice to meet you, Astraya! You're very pretty." Eggy speaks sitting on Scott's shoulder. 


"Thank you, Eggy. You're very cute." Queen Astraya smiles sweetly. 


Scott's too nervous to say anything. He feels more awkward than he did when he met the Demon King (although that was under different circumstances..). 


Scott praises Eggy in his head for being able to speak so happily to the queen of the dungeon. 


A moment later Eggy yawns, "Papa, I'm still tired." 


"It's okay, you can sleep." Scott whispers. Eggy flies over to Scott's bed and lays down again. 


Scott doesn't know what to say, usually he has some kind of joke to tell or even lying to get out of a situation. He even had stuff to say when he was kidnapped by the skin-walkers. But now, his head is blank. 


Queen Astraya's smile disappears once Eggy's sleeping. Scott hopes it's not because of him.
