A world filled with magic and mystery, ancient celestials and new enemies, dragon royalty to elven poverty, cursed lands and forbidden ruins, Ethereal is home to the people from the dying Alecte Realm. 

In the world of Ethereal, Scott Powers lives an unsuspecting life while slightly ignorant of the outside world. In Erebus, the Upper region of the Underworld surrounded by walls, Scott and his family live their ordinary lives until, one day, Scott discovers umbra, misty shadow-like beings, have invaded Erebus underneath everyone's noses. While Scott plans to move them back to the underworld, mysterious forces drag him out of the walls and into the vast world full of magical creatures and spiritual abilities. 

Outside of the Underworld, Scott gets to meet the creatures he's read about for years, and he somehow becomes friends with a few princes and princesses. Along the journey to get back home he encounters all kinds of misfortunes, he wants to help but can he? 

And along with the impending doom he faces, he also experiences his and others' pasts through bonding with them. Broken dragon families, hurting siren royalty, and thieving orcs will be met and their pasts will unfold to create a bigger picture within a ripped paper. 

What role does Scott have in this world? And how can this teenager cope dealing with romance, betrayal and friendship?

Doctor Good looks up from a desk where he's mixing strange looking ingredients. Upon seeing Scott, his pale red eyes squint and he says, "why are you up and about? Didn't I tell you to rest?" 


Scott can only say, "I would much rather be laying in bed right now, but one cannot disobey royalty." 


Grayson looks at him, probably wondering why he was speaking so strangely. 


The doctor stares at Scott for a moment, then sighs and says to Sypfriy, "bring them in. What happened this time?" 


"Snake bite for this large one, exhaustion or maybe blood loss for the selkie, as for this one.." Sypfriy describes the three trespassers, and makes it to Gufart, the goat man struggling in his snake bindings. "He might also get a snake bite." 


'Selkie? Was Bart not just a tiny mermaid?' Scott thinks. 


"What about the other three?" Doctor Good asks. He swims closer, examining them carefully. His eyes widen when he sees the marks across their bodies. "Poison?"
