Chapter 6

Rose walked away from the hallway swiftly, her face cold and expressionless but her insides were trembling with nerves, she didn’t plan this, never expected it even though one of her mantras was ‘expect the unexpected’. She walked past Jacques who got the hint, they were leaving, now. He swallowed the rest of his drink in a gulp and followed her back to the black range rover, she got in the driver’s seat as Jacques got in the car and drove off with speed, hoping not to see the officer’s face again. Jacques looked at her with a confused look on his face but she didn’t answer his secret question. She was furious and someone was going to pay with blood.

They drove for a very long time in the forest, going back to the base. They arrived by 7am the next day and even though she was tired from the journey, fire burned through her veins. The men noticed this and stood there silently afraid wondering among themselves who had incurred the queen’s wrath, her boots crunched on the gravel as she marched to where the truck stood with the men unloading the goods. She grabbed Santiago by the collar and hit him across the wall, Sango’s face paled as he looked at the blood dripping from his twin brother’s nose

“Tell me, who among you informed the damned police where I was?” she seethed coldly, anger laced in her body

“I swear on my life my queen, I don’t know and if I did I would have killed him with a single bullet for his betrayal” he replied calmly and bravely, she stared into his eyes with a scowl not saying anything for a while before releasing him with a growl and Sango’s heartbeat reduced. She walked into the middle of the crowd and shot a gun upwards getting the attention of those who hadn’t realised what was going on

“someone better confess who told the fucking police where I was and what I was doing before bullets start flying into your bloody skulls!!!” there was a dreadful silence before she felt a hand on her shoulder and Jacques whispered in her ear

“Calm down, even if anyone did it, they wouldn’t confess now. You need to calm down and deal with it tactfully and more enough, we still have Samuel’s case to take care of” she sighed before dropping the gun and walking into the house after commanding the men to bring the limp form of Samuel inside the torture room.

She went inside her office locking the door behind her before sitting down and closing her eyes. This was why she needed Jacques, they had both been mates in the same training room and he had a way of calming her when she got over the edge and seeing that damned Jason Blackwell set her way over the edge. He was set over her case, that was enough reason for her to hate him but she couldn’t, she was too weak. Of all the many one night stands she had, that was the only one that meant something to her because that was the only time she had ever let loose and given someone else control over the reins of her life. He crept into her skin like a disease she wanted to avoid but his musk like scent, his eyes, his touch, his smile that stuck to her like glue.

A knock on her door brought her out of her reverie and she stood up with an emotionless look on her face to open the door. Jacques stood outside the door with a grimace on his face

“he’s woken up and is creating a bloody noise” he said simply, she sighed with a frown on her face and followed him down the stairs to the left hallway, the room beside the study with a titanium door with a passcode and a retinal scan . She typed in the passcode to the sound proof torture room, walking down the stairs that led underground, Jacques following behind her and the door closing behind them. The angry wails of a man could be heard echoing through the walls as they walked down, they reached a large room whose walls were made of solid titanium, knives and daggers were laid on the wall to the left, whips and metal batons on the wall to the right and on the far end of the room, her favourite, an electrocuting chair with straps, she preferred frying the answers out of her preys if beating and torture wouldn’t work on them.

Samuel was strapped on a metal chair, two men in suits behind him, he was blind folded and there was a strap on his mouth to prevent him from talking but his angry wails were still heard as he struggled on the metal chair not willing to go down easily. She walked to the front of him with a frown on her face not liking the image in front of her. She removed the blindfold from his eyes and watched as his angry green eyes landed on her and he began to shout incoherent words through the cloth around his mouth. She squatted in front of him and placed her index finger on his lips

“shhhhhh” she whispered and tilted her head before continuing “don’t be a naughty boy and be quiet, I just have some little questions to ask you Sammy” he turned his head away from her in a negative response. She sighed before standing up and walking towards a wine bottle that was placed on a drawer at the far edge of the room. She uncorked it and poured a little content into the wine glass cup that was placed beside it, she drank the whole content in a gulp, licked her lips slowly as she watched Samuel look at her with lust filled eyes. She had taken of her jacket revealing the strapless fitted shirt she had worn and the tattoo of a pistol on her shoulder, bastard man, there was no need for torture with him, she knew just how to get her answers from him. She dropped the cup and walked slowly to his front before removing the cloth from his mouth and crashing her lips on his viciously.
