Betrayal
Theme Song : Quinamino by Azawi
"What do you mean you kept it all in the car!?" Chase shouted one more time. He was making a phone call but was angry and a tad too loud. I was in my office but could hear his conversation still. "Listen if I do find out that..." He paused for awhile before groaning. He was scaring me.
"Next time, you don't interrupt me. Well, call him in." A pause again. I stood up from my chair visibly not relaxed. "And if any gets fucked up,I'll fuck you up big time. You wouldn't even know your name. You'll stay a fucking retard."
"Fuck!" I walked into the sight of him kicking his desk angrily.
"Whats wrong?" I couldn't help but ask. He looked at me,gradually calming down.
"The files I gave Gio."
"What about them?" I rose a brow.
"It wasn't in the car when I checked this morning."
"What the!?" This was so bad. Chase could lose a lot of money if these files are not found. He had signed the transfer of ownership from Mr Oscar already. No doubt,Mr Oscar could deny signing if the files are not found and he hears a word of it. If only I hadn't agreed to partying.
"I shouldn't have agreed to clubbing. This is all my fault." My mouth almost quivered.
"No babe. I pushed you so this is my fault and burden, okay?"
"That doesn't make me feel any better." Wait, what? "Did you just call me babe?" He laughed and it was music to my ears. Sweet music.
"Yeah, babe" He sing sang. For an angry person,he sure was happy. How ironic.
"You do know you're supposed to be angry, right?"
"You're the perfect distraction."
"Aww." I cooed.
"How about distracting me for real? I do need it now." He suggested with a smirk. Oh boy,I knew what that meant but no can do mister.
"I'll sing you a song then."
"Oh come on,you know what I mean." A slight hint of irritation reared its head. He tilted my head up and pulled me to him.
"You're damn short." I pouted.
"I could find ways to get taller,ya know?" He smiled.
"I love you this way. Totally huggable. Cuddling you to sleep last night was a taste of heaven." I blushed at the thought of his arm which was wrapped around me last night.
"You have a certain way with words."
"So I've been told. But guess what?" His voice sounded a bit more hoarse.
"Whats that?" I couldn't recognise my voice when it came out too. I sounded so small and sensual.
"My tongue isn't just good for rolling words. I could make a whole other lot roll" I bit my lips as he made his way down. I closed my eyes in great anticipation.
The door slammed open and I pushed him off immediately. Talk about bad timing! But the person looking at us with slight anger in her eyes didn't allow me lash out my anger.
A silver haired girl was standing by the door, her arms clasped around her breasts which was propped up. She had ocean blue eyes, reminding me of Deb in a way. She was resting on the doorframe.
"What are you doing with my man!?" That question was enough to spoil my whole day.
"Alicia!" Chase eyes widened with shock. But not more than mine.

"Hello bitch!" Deb snapped at me. "You're being so detached." We were out shopping and Deb was ranting about a guy she met at a club the night I stayed at Chase's.
Chase. That name was getting me riled up at the moment. He wasn't my boyfriend or my man, still I felt betrayed. He had a girl all along and it had to be a pretty one. I felt so small. So insecure. I felt less than enough. I was actually starting to consider the love story Deb,Erin and Nana insinuate happening and then,he had to have a girlfriend.
I should've known. He was actually just using me. That day when Alicia walked into our sexual atmosphere,I felt so embarrassed. And Chase didn't make it any better when he asked me to leave. He hadn't even allow me go to my office. He instructed me to go to the cafe or some other place. I felt used.
The worse thing was he left that day without any word to me. I spent a week at the office alone. He had just vanished into thin air. No word,no message,no call. He was with his girlfriend.
"You're spacing out again bitch!" Deb brought me out of my reverie with a shout.
"You should consider a stop to calling me that." She rolled her eyes.
"What's wrong?" I only sighed. "Does this have anything to do with Chase?" I nodded. She sighed. "Okay, what now? What'd he do? Should I go find an assassin?" I would've laughed at that but I wasn't in a great mood. "Okay, this is quite serious if you're not laughing"
"He has a girlfriend. And he didn't tell me anything about her." We rounded another counter. Gummy bears stared at me and I smiled cheekily.
"No way!" Deb almost destroyed my eardrums. "I'm so calling an assassin."
"Its okay. I can deal with that. I'm just angry he didn't let me know that." I was talking so calmly when my insides were a huge mess.
"He kissed you, bitch. But wait, how'd you know he had a girlfriend?"
"I saw her. She's this pretty grey haired girl and she has this blue eyes you would wanna stare at like forever. She's even tall! Taller than you,Deb. And she is so...I can't even describe how she looks. She looks like a goddess. That's it,Deb. She looks like a real goddess."
"Fucking chillax babe." Deb said cackling. I sighed and picked three packet of gummy bears. "You saw her doesn't means she's his girlfriend. How do you know if he didn't tell you? You need to stop assuming."
"She said, actually screamed,'what're you doing with my man?'. Me and Chase were about kissing. She just came in to ruin everything." I sobbed.
"Just let him tell you that first, okay? When did you find out?"
"Last week. He's been out of the office since that day. He didn't even tell me anything about leaving. It feels like he's out of London. Well,I don't care." She smiled and I knew she saw through my lie.
"Yeah, whatever. Know what? Lets party tonight?"
"Of course! Lets go to a club?"
"No,lets party at home with Erin." She argued.
"Please?" I gave her the puppy eyes but she rolled her eyes and shook her eyes as we made our way to the counter for payment. "Pretty please. Just let me win today."
"No can do bitch." She refused.
"Ugh,I'm the one with an heartbreak! Chase is obviously exchanging saliva with that..." I shrugged and the lady behind us in the line looked up,shaking her head. I rolled my eyes at her. Like mind your business ma'am,politely,I thought.
"Fine."
"I love you girl." She was the best. Well, that's why she's my best friend. I chose her.
My phone chose that time to ring. I checked the Caller ID and my smile upturned immediately.
"Who's that?" Deb inquired curiously at my frown.
"Chase."
The man whose words could either make my night or spoil it totally. I hope it becomes the former.
