CHAPTER 25

Five days later:

With every day that passed, I was starting to feel just a little more like my old self. Most of the bruises had faded, which only left me with sore ribs and the bullet wound that was now starting to heal. This also meant that boredom was beginning to set in as I'm not the type of person who enjoys inactivity.

The cleanup of the mass burial site was finally over. And today, Norah and Nick were busy going through some of the abandoned vehicles on the farm, searching for any clues to help identify the victims. I'd offered to help as well, but Nick didn't want to take a chance on me reopening my gunshot wound.
