A Letter

It was now the day that Dia will be returning to her work. As a mother, I felt bad about how my daughter couldn't attend school like the other girls in our town who used to study in the school they wished for.

Everytime, I will see my daughter's eagerness to go to college. I was about to shed tears because I couldn't do anything about our situation.

I packed the buttered chicken and a soup which was Dia's favorite. She will be leaving us again, it pained to see how I gave up on her dreams and she was working as a maid instead of going to school.

We sent her to the bus station with my husband giving her our tight embrace.

"Please take care of yourself my dear. We are not there to take care of you so please be healthy". My only wished to my daughter even my heart crumbled to let her go.

"Stop worrying Mom. I am doing my best in my job. So I will be healthy". Her replied wearing her sincere and bright smile.

"Take care my dear and do not forget to keep in touch with your Mom and me. Dad will always there for you one call away". My husband's words to our daughter.

"I know that already Dad. So stop being emotional. Okay?"

My husband was emotional when it came to our daughter. She really loved our Diamond so much because she was our precious child. As her name implied. Diamond, the most precious stone.

"Bye Mom, bye Dad! I promise I will go home in my next day off if my boss permits me. Do not overwork yourselves and do not spend much time looking for part time jobs okay?" Her last words then the bus started to move.

"Take care Baby girl". And my husband had teary eyes seeing our daughter to return in her job.

I saw Dia waving her hands until the bus lost in our sights anymore.

"I really felt bad seeing her like that Jack. It pained to see how she worked hard to reach her dreams". Sharing my feelings to my husband because we were like this hopeless parents.

"Next semester, I promised she will be going to college. We need to work hard Selena. It's for our daughter's sake and for her dreams". My husband was very determined in order to send our only daughter to college.

"Yes Jack. We will fulfill that".

As a parent, we needed to really work hard to fulfill our duties and we needed to support our only daughter in her dreams. Whatever it maybe. We promised that next semester, Dia will be able to go to school.

We promised!

I am returning again to my work and it's been two days that I didn't see my heartless boss. Seeing my parents striving hard pinched my heart. But I needed to act on my own now. This was not only for myself, this was for my dreams and for my parents also.

Last night, it was an eye opening for me because I was out of place compared to my classmates but I had reflected it. What's important right was how I worked hard to achieve my dreams. I didn't have to compare myself to others anymore. I had realized that being true to myself was more important than anybody else.

After four hours of travelling, I arrived the nearest bus stop near at the mansion of Robinson.

I went down at the bus and released a deep sigh because within those walls I will be facing again my heartless boss.

"Fighting Diamond! Fighting!" I shouted at the top of voice.

I was entering the mansion when I saw this man wearing his uniform. As I can describe him, he was like a messenger. He delivered and put a letter in the mail box near the outpost.

I was all curious about the letter so I managed to get it and will give it to Mr. Robinson. In the right part of the letter, the name of the sender was Cornella Simmons and the name of receiver was my boss' name, Hans Seighfreed Robinson.

As I arrived the doors of the mansion, I saw Mr. Robinson having his morning tea in the balcony of the mansion. I directly went to him and greeted him.

"I'm back Mr. Robinson. A pleasant day to you". I courteously said and bow down my head.

"It's good that you're here now Ms. Christensen. You have a lot of work to do since Hans was all complaining about the cleanliness of his room". He uttered after sipping his tea.

"Do not worry about it Mr. Robinson. His personal maid is back with more power and a SMILE". And I am this energetic because I had rested enough for a two days off.

Mr. Robinson couldn't control his smile after hearing that craziness I made.

"Of course I can really count on you in terms of taking care of my grandson. You're really good as his personal maid".

"Thank you for the compliment. By the way Mr. Robinson, a messenger delivered this letter and it came from Cornella Simmons". I handed the letter and that smile from his face transformed into unsmiling. He was very serious while holding that letter. "I think it's for Sir Hans, Mr. Robinson because it was indicated their in the receiver". I added.

"Next time, you should give all the letters that will be delivered first to me Ms. Christensen and do not tell Hans about this matter. Am I understood?" As he articulated it and gazing me with full of seriousness.

"Yes Mr. Robinson!" I just easily replied to him.

"You can go back to your work now". He commanded.

I left him in the balcony of the mansion and I didn't know about that letter.

But who was Cornella Simmons that resulted Mr. Robinson to be serious like that?

I entered the room of my boss and he was still sleeping. I can smell that his room was a bit smelly and unorganized. But what had happened when I was not around?

Haii...as I made a deep sigh.

I started cleaning his room from my usual cleaning routines as silently as I can in order not to disturb him from his good sleep.

I was amazed how gentle he was when he was sleeping. How handsome he was even when those hair were not comb. But it will never change the fact that he was heartless after all.

I will give him a chance and I will forgive him for insulting my parents but if he will do that again. I won't ever, ever hold back.

After mopping and cleaning the floor, I wiped his closet and all the furniture in his room. Also, I went to his comfort room to clean all those residues and wastes. Then, I organized his clothes well.

Everything was almost done so I took my leave and prepared for his breakfast. I recalled that Mom sent me a buttered chicken and a soup so I came up with an idea that I will serve that since it will take time to prepare for his breakfast today.

After how many minutes, I saw my boss standing in front of me. Our eyes met and I smiled to him. I bowed down my head and greeted him.

"Good morning Sir Hans. I'm back".

"Annoying!" He just replied and sat down to eat his breakfast.

Well! That was so him and he will always be like that.

I served his breakfast and I can in his eyes that he was surprised.

"What is this?" He said in a monotone voice.

"It's buttered chicken Sir and a soup. I thought to change your breakfast because you always eating foods with cheese and it will take time to prepare your breakfast today so I just serve what's available and I think what's healthy". I explained my reasons to him and my Mom made it so I can guarantee that it was delicious.

He didn't respond to my reasons instead he gazed his breakfast like he was hesitant to eat it.

"Do you put a poison in it?" As he questioned me.

"Of course NO! I really loved my job right now Sir Hans so that thing will never happen. Not ever or never in once in a blue moon. Even you treated me badly and I made you annoy. I won't ever poison you. I will never, ever do that heinous crime". And my explanations were just and right because it was the only thing that I had right now. My job.

"Fine! I get it. You're so noisy and irritaring". Again, he was annoyed.

I shuted my mouth and stood behind him while he was eating his breakfast. And thank God that he didn't complain for a change of course in his breakfast.

Something had changed in my boss traits but what really is it?
